Glenpip77 · 19/05/2014 21:40

Couple of days away from mumsnet for so a loth to catch up on Smile

Great news on the scans Linda & Cheshire.

Suzu - sorry to hear about the spotting, fingers cross it is just one of those early pregnancy things that lakes t keep us on our toes.

Tooth = am keeping everything crossed for you

Saraswati - Sounds like you have been throught the mill, hope the meds manage to take the edge of things.

I've had a tiny bit of spotting too - ranges from dark brown to pinky red. MW says its nothing to worry about but I think we are going to book in for a private scan to make sure.....sounds daft but Im getting worried about the lack of symptoms compared to last time so it would be nice to get the all clear. 6+6

Poasaddict · 19/05/2014 21:41

Hi can I join? I'm due 14/1/15 I have a 6 week scan on Thursday to hopefully see heartbeat.
Congratulations to everyone :)
To the ladies who have had bleeding, I know it's very scary I had bleeding at 4+4, but try to rest. My fertility clinic told me it was quite common in first trimester and since that many of my mummy friends said they had bled and cramped in first trimester. It's impossible not to worry out of your mind but resting may help. Take care

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 21:48

Great news Calling! Congrats!

deuscat · 19/05/2014 22:09

Great news Calling!

Suzu how are you now? Hope the spotting has stopped.

So it seems I have to nibble on something every 2 hours. The pack of ginger nuts on my desk at work might give the game away ... Wink

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 22:17

Well having thought I'd escaped ms (thought I was 8wk until dated 7 today) I started feeling sick today. Thought it was nerves of the scan but it's still here... Nooooooo!

fancyacupoftea · 19/05/2014 22:24

Calling that's lovely news about your scan!! Congratulations!

deuscat- i'm ok thanks. the spotting has stopped. since this is my 1st pregnancy i don't know what's meant to be 'normal' and whats not, so everything is really scary. dh hasn't let me lift a finger all day, i'm getting a bit too used to being waited on lol.

Dec2013mummy · 20/05/2014 02:24

Argggghhhhh.... Came to bed at 11, fell asleep quite soon after, woke up at twelve with bad cramps (I have ibs so those kind, luckily not baby I don't think) can I get back to sleep.... No! Ds isn't even awake but knowing my luck he will wake just as I drop off and I am sooooo tired!!

Sorry, rant over!

Congrats to all those who have had good scan news and to all the newbies Grin

I decided to tell work today, as a teacher as well I knew staffing was being decided this week and so didn't want to leave it. I have to say I had a much better experience than last time. My boss was very professional (as they should be I know but not my experience last time) . I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. I obviously explained though that it was early days still. A lot of people seem to know now! Feels even more real. Sorry for the long post! Think I'm a bit bored of being awake now! Sleep tight all.

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 20/05/2014 06:04

Hope you got off to sleep in the end dec
Great news, calling and engels

chesire awww thanks for sharing, adorable!

My dd had me up at 445am :/ she will not go back off either, so plenty of coffee it is for me.

I am starting to feel the strain a bit now as I work pt and hubby is working two jobs , plus I have my dd to look after- and the house - all is manageable, but not when I am this tired ... Gah!

Sorry, rant over. Have a good day all.

Saraswati · 20/05/2014 06:29

Morning all, cheshire scan pic is amazing!

dec glad you feel better for telling work, you are brave to do it so early. I'm going to wait until I can't hide it! Hopefully around 20 weeks. Although with this ms it's going to be hard!

Will get my meds today so hopefully I'll start feeling better. 8 weeks today, 1.5 weeks until early scan, 4 weeks until 12 week scan and hopefully my ms will ease by then. I find it helps if I break down the time in my brain into little milestones!

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 20/05/2014 06:40

Good luck with the meds sara

cheshirem2b · 20/05/2014 07:37

saras I hope the meds help you feel better! I break down time as well...2w until go out for bank hol with DH, 4w+couple of d until next scan.
I've had to tell my boss and she's been great about needing time off. Not telling the others in work until after 12w scan.
Have a good day everyone!

Camsie30 · 20/05/2014 07:48

Morning everyone. So I have a heartbeat! Just had a scan with my fertility doctor/ genius, he said its just under 6 weeks, and I saw the heartbeat, it looks like a tiny white dot but its definitely there!!
He is referring me to the early pregnancy unit to have another scan in two weeks time, and suggested that I take 75mg of baby Asprin between now and 34 weeks... has anyone else been told that?

Hope you all have a beautiful day! xxx

MelMc73 · 20/05/2014 07:49

Congrats on the scans calling and cheshire....great pic too!!

Welcome newbies!

Working at home again today. It's DHs birthday....although he hates a fuss lol. He's off to work and I've a nice family meal planned with a cake!

Hope you're feeling better today tooth Thanks

MelMc73 · 20/05/2014 07:51

Great news camsie!

gingysmummy · 20/05/2014 07:56

Hi everyone, congrats to everyone who's had a good scan and my thoughts are with all those who have had bad news I know how hard it is Hmm. Got my scan at 9.20 I've been praying and keeping everything crossed they find a baby in the sac with a hb this week

Loobyloo893 · 20/05/2014 08:01

So exciting hearing about all these scans! Makes it all feel a bit more real. Keeping fingers crossed they all go well x

EnglishGirlsReturned · 20/05/2014 08:18

Thats great news Camsie

Good luck Gingsy

Dec2013mummy · 20/05/2014 08:33

Gingy did they do an internal last week or just a normal ultrasound? I only ask because they couldn't find anything in my sac from the normal ultrasound and had to do an internal. I have eveything crossed for you.
