Congrats Cheshire and Linda. Great news for you both Grin

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 13:24

Yay Cheshire Smile amazing isn't it? I've been dated at 5 + 6 instead of 6 + 1 but what's 2 days right Smile

suzu1982 · 19/05/2014 13:24

hi all, had a bad morning here. i've had a little bleed and i'm pretty scared. seeing the early pregnancy assessment unit on wednesday, but that feels like years away. S*

haquoi123 · 19/05/2014 13:40

Linda and Cheshire, congratulations! So excited for you both.

Welcome and congrats to other newbies also!

I can't remember who said they were knitting a baby blanket, but I've totally jumped on the bandwagon and am knitting one for my little bean. It's actually lowered my stress of not telling people and given me a project to work on instead of feeling frustrated I've got to wait. Highly recommend it.

Oh also, my DH referred to my vagina as a bean-hole today... not too sure what I think of that...

Saraswati · 19/05/2014 13:43

Great news cheshire and linda how exciting!

Sorry to hear you've had a bleed suzu I think a few of the ladies on here have had some bleeding so hopefully they can offer you some advice. Fingers crossed that time will fly until weds and everything will be ok x

mademoiselle it's so much worse in the heat isn't it? Everything and everybody stinks! I'm really struggling today, going to get my anti sickness meds later, if you get bad please phone the gp, mine said I didn't even need to go in and I can just pick up my prescription later today. She said not to hesitate in taking something because it only gets worse. Interestingly also said just to try and eat what you can stomach, even if I'm worried it's not nutritious and that the baby would leach nutrients off me and I'll make up for it later so long as I'm still taking my vitamins you shouldn't very too much. I'm currently living off tuc biscuits and mint tea so not much vitamins in those!

bedside say you've got an IBS flare up and that's why you're going to the loo every 5 minutes. Nobody questions IBS! That what I've been saying at work and it shuts people up very quickly!!

Yay for the little beans Linda and CHeshire!! Smile
Try not to worry Suz, I know Wednesday feels like ages away but it'll come round quick enough. for now put your feet up and try to take it easy

Minibagel · 19/05/2014 13:55

Woohoo Linda and Cheshire!! That is a v exciting development.

Suzu Wednesday will be here in no time and as others have said! try your hardest to relax and think positive thoughts. When I went to epu they stress just how many women have a bleed and their babies are fine. The odds are in your favour x

Minibagel · 19/05/2014 13:56

Sorry for the random ! in there...

Minibagel · 19/05/2014 13:58

My first GP appointment later re unknown dating of this pregnancy because of mc in March/April. Eeeek. I have a very unhappy ds1 who is 10 months and overheating. Just had a cold shower with him to try and bring down his temp and he went BANANAS. It wasn't much fun for me either kiddo!

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 19/05/2014 14:12

Lol mini I sympathise! My 2 year detesta showers.

chesire and linda fab news!!!

suzu dont panic (hard, I know) but many women on here have had similar and so have my friends and fam in RL x

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 19/05/2014 14:14

minibagel I had a very early mc / chemical pregnancy in late march. I have gone by the first day of that as my edd - is this wrong?

Minibagel · 19/05/2014 14:21

Keepon That's how I've done it as well but I have heard that if there is any question mark over dates, because you haven't had a period in between and you can conceive days after the mc bleeding stops, they may err on the side of caution and send you for an early scan. I think so that they don't miss the 12 week window for nuchal tests if you want them.

My not so secret goal is to get an early scan as I'm fairly sure when I conceived and I'm not as far along as the mc date would suggest. I just so desperately want to see a heartbeat. I will see how it goes and report back. How many weeks are you?

toothachereturns · 19/05/2014 14:23

Great news Linda and Cheshire!

I just had the faintest of faint pink when I wiped after the loo. Panicking now. Sad I'm at work and noone knows so just quietly at my desk panicking and posting on Mumsnet.

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 14:24

suzu - don't worry about a small bleed... that is why I had my early scan. I was told mine was probably due to left over implantation bleed as I have a slightly heart shaped womb and the old blood would have lodged in a corner and only just managed to escape.
You've done the right thing booking in with EPU and all you can do is wait... I waited from Friday and it's been a long weekend but fingers crossed you will get the same outcome as us.
Rest, look after yourself and try to keep busy - easier said than done but good luck!

If the bleed gets red, painful etc then go straight to A&E

toothachereturns · 19/05/2014 14:51

just went to the loo again and there was quite a bit of blood. I'm shaking at work. Don't know what to do. Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

Dec2013mummy · 19/05/2014 14:58

Tooth the best thing to do is ring your local epu for advice or your doctor who will refer you. Even if just to put your mind at rest.

MelMc73 · 19/05/2014 14:59

Try to keep calm tooth....phone gp or mw if you are that worried.

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 14:59

tooth maybe you should make your excuses and get out of work, even if you have to confide in your boss, go and get checked out and try not to worry too much

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 15:06

tooth - get out of work and call your GP/midwife. Get a referral to EPU and get checked out.

toothachereturns · 19/05/2014 15:37

Waiting for doc to call back. I'm in the car with Dh now on the way home in pieces. How could I have got so excited so quick. I feel so stupid.

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 15:42

I was the same so don't worry and certainly don't feel stupid! Hope you're ok!

After the manipulating my uterus etc got today at the ultrasound I've got some more bleeding... it's a sort of brown discharge as all the left over blood escapes after the pounding under the scanny machine thing.

Monstamio · 19/05/2014 15:47

Hope you're ok Tooth - keeping everything crossed that it's just a blip. And don't feel stupid - it's natural to feel excited.

suzu1982 · 19/05/2014 16:06

thanks for the support guys. tooth i've got everything crossed for you.

bedsidemanor · 19/05/2014 16:07

Thinking of you tooth - glad your DH is there to support you!

Thanks for the M/S tips mademoiselle and Saraswati - will have to them a try! Feeling a bit better now - will attempt a supermarket shop when DH gets back!
