Welcome looby

Good luck today linda

scoops all the best for the future. You've proved them wrong once and I'm sure you will again. Hope you get your bfp soon. x

scan this evening!

8w+1

MademoiselleG · 19/05/2014 06:54

Saras I'd see a gp now! In France you can get a prescription that alleviates ms - not sure about here - but 5x/day is not 'the norm'. You poor thing!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 19/05/2014 07:13

Saras, my friend was sick after everything, ended up in hospital so see the dr. Or at least give the mw a call.
Good luck for scans today Linda and Calling!!

Swifey · 19/05/2014 07:47

Morning all, I have just had my bfp, but knew already!! ?? my due date I think is 25th January according to the nhs website, which of feels very strange! We have told my dh cousin and partner, because they came for a BBQ yesterday (she is also my best friend, and our ds godmother) and she knew there was something up! Very funny to see their faces, they were so excited! On a more reserved note, are any of you thinking about having the nifty test done? I am 36, and might be, depending on when this baby arrives 37, and am conscious that I am getting on!! Not that I feel it!! Anyway lovely to be here, and tons of luck to all of you!! ??

Monstamio · 19/05/2014 07:49

Good luck with scans today Linda and Engels

Interesting to hear about all the alcohol free beer options. I've got a work event tomorrow so will investigate that option when I'm at the bar. .. though I'll have to avoid any rounds!

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 08:09

Thanks you ladies. I'm feeling a little on edge about the scan now, stupid nasty dreams all night have taken away my positive attitude Angry

Cheshire have you got a scan today aswell?

Good luck at your scan Calling Smile

sleepisforthetired · 19/05/2014 08:46

Loobyloo893 · 19/05/2014 08:57

Good luck with your scans. Hope all goes well x

rumisyum · 19/05/2014 09:16

Hello all. Welcome and congratulations, new joiners. Smile

Hope you had a great birthday in that marvellous sunshine yesterday, Linda! And I hope you and everyone having scans today gets lovely reassuring results.

Sonic the scan we have booked is a private one as I'll be out of the country visiting my parents & thought it might be a nice way for them to feel included. We've already told them, and I've told a bunch of good friends as they've been so good at holding my hand through all the infertility stuff, I couldn't not share my joy with them. Smile

I'm joining the spotting crew - had a little last night. I know it's nothing much to worry about - only a little, brown, after sex, gone this morning - but that is usually how my period starts. Sad And apart from the boobage I've not had a huge amount by way of symptoms to go on anyway... Eh. I changed my GP appt from tomorrow to today, so will go along to see her in a little while, and take it easy otherwise. And trying to stay hopeful!

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 09:36

rumisyum that is exactly how I start my period and why I was so freaked out. If you've had sex it's probably just irritated the cervix causing the discharge. Hope your gp helps though.
I'm constantly checking when I wipe now (nothing this morning... yet)... hopefully today will put my mind at rest otherwise I might get a complex over the next 7 months! Wink
Good luck everyone... Today we are pregnant!

Saraswati · 19/05/2014 09:46

Called the gp this morning, didn't need an appointment she just wrote me a prescription for cyclizine (sp?!) that I can collect later. She said if that doesn't help then I have to go in and see her. Hopefully that will do the trick, didn't really want to take anything but throwing up constantly won't be doing me or the baby any good! Ladies without symptoms please don't wish this on yourself!!

Good luck to those have scans today Thanks

ChaircatMiaow · 19/05/2014 09:54

Good luck today linda and cheshire Smile

MelMc73 · 19/05/2014 10:25

Gosh...this thread has motored on since I last read on Saturday!

linda Happy Birthday for yesterday. Hope you managed to have a lovely day and good luck for the scan today Thanks

Cheshire good luck for your scan today as well!

scoops keep positive!

Welcome to new ladies with bfp's sunshine, tooth etc - hope you're all keeping well.

Spoke to DH about getting an early scan but he says what will be will be and I kind of agree. It will be the same result at 8 weeks as it is at 12 weeks. He's also announced he's coming to my first MW apt on 5th June with me.....hope he's not too bored lol!!

Had a busy weekend. My DS was at a Taekwondo competition yesterday morning so we were up at the crack of dawn to take him there. He did well - 2 medals - bronze and a silver - proud Mummy! Grin

Got home about lunch time and then we went off to McDonalds to celebrate his achievements (any excuse Grin!) then I decided to bake a cake in the afternoon. I don't know what possessed me as I am NOT a baker! Made a simple sponge cake with cream and raspberries in the middle - even tried my hand at piping lol! Great British Bake off look out!

Local bank holiday here today so schools are off and I'm "working" at home this morning.

Have a good Monday y'all!

CallingAllEngels · 19/05/2014 10:29

Now you're making me hungry mel ! had my first almost vomming moment today. hadn't eaten because I had a blood test so starving walking back at 8.30 and started coughing and retching. Don't think there's any chance of me losing weight in the 1st trimester this time round!

bedsidemanor · 19/05/2014 11:26

Good luck with all the scans today and sympathy to those with morning sickness!

I'm 5+6 today and morning sickness kicked off with a vengeance yesterday! Have taken the day off work today as couldn't face it - there was a full day training with the whole office so couldn't just moan quietly at my desk! Just hope I can make it in tomorrow...
Anyone come up with any good ideas of hiding M/S from work? I swear my colleagues are always on 'pregnancy-watch'!

bedside, I need tricks and tips too, it's really quite horrendous today.
So far I have:
Drunk 5 cups of ginger and lemon tea, sipped in v slowly.
Eaten oat cakes at regular intervals
Eaten small portions of stuff
Drink water
Eaten lots of gin-gin sweets

But I just had to run away from the sinking area as the smell just made me gag. Quite visibly so too!

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 13:11

Just back from my scan and all is well! My little sea monkey is growing in the right place and I saw the teensiest little heartbeat Smile

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 13:13

Eeeeeeek! Exciting!
Went to the hospital for our scan this morning and there was little bean and his heart beat (it's a he this week)! So happy!
Dated at 7 weeks rather than 7+6 weeks but that's fine by me!
We've got a little picture... not very clear but still!
I would try and attach the pic but DH saved it as a pdf and it won't attach!
It was amazing! You could really see the heart beating! Very emotional!

cheshirem2b · 19/05/2014 13:14

linda congratulations!

MelMc73 · 19/05/2014 13:15
