ChineseFireball · 16/05/2014 10:40

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 16/05/2014 12:46

Just a quick tip! Wristbands to alleviate travel sickness apparantly help ms too. I am in bed with two on at the moment :)

Enjoy the sun all :)

cheshirem2b · 16/05/2014 13:06

Well half an hour before my mw apt I had some more spotting! Panic mode #2!
Went to apt, cried through most of it fearing the worst. Got scan at epu on Monday morning to check if there is a heart beat etc and I'm praying everything is ok.
I was only saying to my bf who is pg with her second the other day that she's got severe m&s and I'm sailing through... Jinxed it I think!
Anyway, mw was lovely, went through the rest of the booking apt. Told me brown blood is old blood, keep monitoring and if turns red and pain then go to A&E and if no change go to scan on Monday. Mw said I could be one of those that do bleed between 8-12 weeks and hopefully that is all it is but we will have to wait and see.
I'm trying to keep positive because it's very light spotting (only when I wipe and nothing in panty liner), dark brown and appears to have stopped again.
Come on bean... Please stick!

Saraswati · 16/05/2014 13:16

Thanks for the wristband tip keepon are they a bit obvious though for work? I also had really bad diarrhoea at 4/5 weeks, my gp said I could take Imodium but it sorted itself out, I just ate really bland, non-fibrous things for a few days and my tummy settled. Be careful though because you can get really dehydrated.

mel if you like ginger get some gin gins from holland and Barrett they are little ginger boiled sweets for travel sickness and my new best friends!!

english sending you lots of positive vibes and hope the spotting is just normal pregnancy spotting and it stops that soon. Definitely cross Wexham park off your list then! Where in the uk are you moving to? I've heard frimley are good too. RBH has a bad reputation but not much I can do about it!

Managed to keep my breakfast down today which is an improvement, been nibbling on tuc biscuits all morning like a little hamster. They seem to be the only thing I can stomach. DH gave me a big lecture last night about going to gp if it gets worse, he thought I was properly ill because my sickness was in the evening there must be something more wrong with me because 'it's only supposed to happen in the morning'. He's a bit naive, bless!

I was brave and booked my private scan for 31st May today, I'll be just over 9 weeks then so I hope if all is ok it bodes well. But of course now I've actually booked it I think I've jinxed myself, must think positively.

Saraswati · 16/05/2014 13:17

Sorry cheshire crossed post! fingers crossed for you for Monday! try and keep yourself busy is weekend Thanks

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 16/05/2014 13:20

Yes keep busy chesire and think positive! Lots of people bleed a little and go on to have a baby :)

saraswati I shall have to try those sweets from holland and barter. The wristbands are very obvious actually ... But they seem to help a lottle. Glad you could keep brekky down today :) ;)

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 13:24

Hurray for breakfast that stayed down!

And yes, I meant we have two hearts as in: we now all have two hearts bearing inside us, which is amazing! (Still no twins Wink)

lindamagoo · 16/05/2014 14:07

Cheshire try to keep calm and positive huni, Monday will be here before you know it and you will see your little bean Smile

My SIL has twin boys who are almost 2 and they are crazy wee nutters and I still can't tell who's who so she always puts dark shoes on one and light shoes on the other so I don't get confused Grin

cheshirem2b · 16/05/2014 14:37

thanks ladies!
I am trying to keep positive - it seems to have stopped again - mw did say it is possible old blood collected overnight and came out when I got up this morning. I had a lie in today as I had the morning off work and didn't get up until 9.30ish and bleeding was at 10.30 so that fits as well.
I've still got sore boobs, some nausea (v mild) and slight twinges around my abdomen so I am clinging on to my symptoms!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/05/2014 15:01

Well ladies I'm back on English soil! No more pink, thankfully.
Sara's, in originally from Bracknell, moved to holland and heading back to the area.
Cheshire, hope you're ok. This spotting malarkey is really frightening. Fx for you.
Thanks for for your support and kind words Smile

Saraswati · 16/05/2014 15:08

english sorry I remember now you said Bracknell, I've booked future babies by the way so I'll let you know if they are any good, seemed nice on the phone. welcome back home, hope the move is ok and not too stressful. Glad the spotting has stopped and for you too cheshire

Anyone else finding the heat difficult? It's not even summer yet and I feel like I'm roasting!!

cheshirem2b · 16/05/2014 15:09

Welcome back to the UK english - hope your spotting stops and all is well for you at what is already a stressful time. thanks for your kind words. keeping everything crossed it stops again (it seems to have) and just going to take it easy this weekend.

I'm going to listen to a concert tomorrow evening and then I am out Sunday morning so that should make the time pass until Monday!
DH has re-arranged his teaching to come to the scan with me on Monday and hopefully (god willing) we will see a heartbeat!

Frances79FirstTime · 16/05/2014 15:43

I may be mad but have found myself willing myself to get ms (sure I will rue that as soon as I actually do!) I just don't feel it will be real until I feel sick - and although I've felt a bit "weird" sometimes, I just keep worrying something is wrong while I don't feel ill (only natural to be anxious I am sure!)

Hubby and I are off to a friend's for dinner and drinks tonight - we have had to come up with a plan of him swapping our drinks all night as she has such a motor mouth I really DO not want her to guess! I think that means he will get very drunk as will drink twice as much... I may have to throw wine in nearby plant pots too. The only person I am planning on telling before the scan is my best friend when I see her in a couple of weeks (want to do it in person) - as I would want her support anyway if anything went wrong. And so begin the little white lies!

sleepisforthetired · 16/05/2014 17:33

English, welcome back :)

Just a quick message to wish you all a lovely weekend :)

lindamagoo · 16/05/2014 17:41

Yay English i bet your glad to be back on your home soil Smile

rumisyum · 16/05/2014 17:50

Man, it's hard to keep up! Welcome, newbies!

scoops I'm so very sorry. I hope you're being well looked after.

Welcome back to the UK, English! Sorry about the spotting stress for you & cheshire. Hopefully it's all par for the course & this is just the start of a lifetime of worry about our future little ones.

MlleG I love the thought of now containing 2 hearts. Smile

I seem to have spent almost all of my day off today at work. Hmm Ah well, needs must to get things in order before I go on holiday next week. Can't wait! Grin

Minibagel · 16/05/2014 18:13

Hi :) I am pregnant after a miscarriage, due 15 January. Currently 5 weeks by my dates and clearblue digi yesterday said 2-3, is that right? I am symptom spotting like a mad woman, especially as my last one ended at 8 weeks in mc. No sickness yet but maybe I am too busy looking after my ds who is 10 months? I dont think I felt nauseous with him until 7 weeks.

Foxtrot7459 · 16/05/2014 18:17

I'm now 6+5 and have no symptoms other than sore boobs. Other than that I feel like normal. Only DH knows so with no one to talk about it to, it's easy to forget!

Going out with friends on Tuesday and I need to disguise the fact I'm not drinking - any suggestions to make it look like I'm drinking when I'm not? It's a meal so I can't sneak off to the bar to get my own fake drink!

Got my booking in appointment with Midwife on Sunday so hopefully it will feel more real then.

lindamagoo · 16/05/2014 18:41

Hi Minibagel, yeah the clearblue digi will be right, it only counts from conception but your dates will be from two weeks before that when you had your last period Smile so 5 weeks you are my lovely Smile good luck

lindamagoo · 16/05/2014 18:42

Hope that makes sense
