Had my early scan today - am dated as a week earlier so am at 6+1 but we saw a very clear and strong heartbeat!

Also I thought I felt sick earlier at school when I went for a wee and then I noticed that someone had left a poo in the toilet and I think it was the smell making me want to vom. It was a bad smell but vom worthy? DEFINITE MORNING SICKNESS.

Madrigals fingers crossed you get good news as well this coming week. Mine stops and starts but still v minimal and brown so I'm focusing on that and aiming for Monday!
DH is worried but being very good and looking after me!
Hope you all have a good weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

Minibagel · 16/05/2014 21:37

Thanks Lindamagoo

I hope all of you awaiting scans are ok. It seems ages off for us although I am hoping to get an early one next week because of uncertainty over dating. We got pregnant after mc which started end of March and ended in April with no period in between. I've heard they often will send you for an early one in those circumstances so they don't miss the 12 week deadline. Does anyone have any experience of that?

Hugs to all experiencing a light bleed/ coloured discharge. With my first, I had this at 16 weeks and it was thought it was a cervical etrusion irritated by dtd! ;) and didn't effect dc1 at all. When I went to epu with dc2 they reasssured me that lots of women bleed, some with clots and the baby still is viable, so don't lose hope. Not all stories end like mine did with dc2.

Dec2013mummy · 16/05/2014 22:09

mini I got pregnant straight after miscarriage with Ds and they just took it as 1st day bleeding was equal to 1st day of a period.

Well ladies I feel ROUGH!! Sick a few times and feel very wobbly!! Big hugs to every

Dec2013mummy · 16/05/2014 22:10

Morning all, nearly lost the thread again been so busy haven't been posting but have been reading.

So sorry scoops I hope you're ok :-(

Really feel for everyone suffering with ms, I hate being sick (infact I have a big time phobia of sick in general) and so it's been a major worry for me! At the moment (fx) iv been ok although have been eating like a horse!

Off for early scan this morning, very excited and nervous at the same time! :-)

Starbright24 · 17/05/2014 06:19

Sonics · 17/05/2014 06:21

Can I join in please? I'll update the list when not on my phone.

I'm 33, have been TTC #1 for 3.5 years, we were awaiting our first ivf consultation in the post and then got a BFP on Thursday. Am still in shock!! Weirdly it's 2 years to the month since I fell pregnant last time but that ended in mmc after 12 week scan so am mighty scared the same thing will happen again. We've decided to pay for an early scan to put our minds at ease a bit - at what point is it best to do that? We were thinking 8 weeks?

Look forward to getting to know you all Smile

Monstamio · 17/05/2014 07:06

Just catching up as been awol this week.

scoops I was so sorry to hear your news... please look after yourself Flowers

Welcome and congratulations to the newcomers... it's an exciting time!

sonics I also had a mmc discovered at the 12 week scan and was told at the time that I could request a scan at 8 weeks next time (which is booked in for thurs... eek!). Might be worth checking with your mw if they'll do the same before paying for one, though it does vary from place to place whether it will be offered.

I'm another one who just can't stop eating and all my clothes feel really tight. It's not a good sign... But I just feel so so sick if I dont eat that there's no option. Managed to avoid actually being sick so far, though there have been a couple of close calls, so I suspect it's just a matter of time.

Has everyone got nice plans this weekend? We are mostly going to be decorating and gardening.

MrsGingerbread · 17/05/2014 07:12

Hello everyone!

Can I please join you?

I think I am 4+5 today, a nice pink frer line but digi still says 1-2. Should I be worried about that?

I don't really have any symptoms. Anyone else symptomless?

I have to keep looking at frer photos to convince myself that it is real.

Shallan · 17/05/2014 07:13

Hey monstamio just to mention there's some good advice here www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2531.aspx?CategoryID=54 about what type of decorating is safe during pregnancy - there are some kind of paints you're supposed to avoid.

Shallan · 17/05/2014 07:15

Hi mrsg and congratulations.

The digi tests count from conception, whereas everybody else counts from the first day of last period, so the digi tests are always a couple of weeks behind - nothing to worry about!

Sonics · 17/05/2014 07:20

Thanks for that monstamio. I'll ask when I go and see mw. Still haven't booked docs appt. need to do that this week

my only symptoms at the mo are sore boobs and increased hunger levels. Last time I had really bad ms so I'm hoping it's better this time round

We're also gardening this weekend. Need to make the most of the nice weather!

Saraswati · 17/05/2014 07:30

Morning all and welcome newbies!

Good luck for your scan tilly

sonics I've read 8 weeks is a good time for a scan, if you see a heartbeat and viable pregnancy then the risk of miscarriage reduces to something like 3%. I'm going for one at 9 weeks but only because the scanning place couldn't do the week before.

Good luck Tilly Smile

Welcome Sonics Smile

MrsG I think the digi is right, it dates from conception so if you add the two weeks from af to conception you'd really be 4+, don't think the digi will go to 3 to 4 until your between 5 and 6 weeks Smile

haquoi123 · 17/05/2014 08:03

Good luck tilly! Hope all of you suffering are getting some relief (either through sleeping).

Morning early risers! I'm up at the crack of dawn again, what is with that? Usually a herd of stampeding horses couldn't get me out of bed!

Mrs G, I'm also fairly symptom-less. Or at least mine are really subtle. I'm about 5 weeks, found out on Wednesday, but had been cramping for a week and was wondering where my period was. That's now dying down, but only other real symptom is feeling weird. Boobs are fine, I'm hungry and thirsty, so so thirsty, and occasionally feel like my brain has deserted me, but nothing otherwise. I'm slightly jealous of all you ladies suffering ms, even though I'm sure I will regret that massively (and really hope you all feel better).

Another question, I booked a spa day with a friend ages ago at centre parcs. I'll be about 7 weeks when we're due to go - I can't find info about whether its safe or not - any ideas?

Hope your days are starting as gloriously as the sunshine here!

MademoiselleG · 17/05/2014 08:04

Good luck Tilly, let us know how it goes!

Welcome sonic, what exciting news after such a mammoth ttc journey...the world owes you a happy and healthy pregnancy after that!

mrsG do I recognise your name from the Penis Dragon thread? hurrah for your bfp!!!

Awake since 6 am. Even dd is still asleep. What is wrong with me?!

haquoi123 · 17/05/2014 08:05

haquoi123 · 17/05/2014 08:15

Argh, more questions! (you can tell I'm a complete newbie)

How do I add my stats? Or does someone else do it?

Camsie30 · 17/05/2014 08:17

Haquoi123 I think you should avoid anything hot, so hot tub, sauna, steam room etc... You should tell any beauty therapists that you are pg (if you can in private) if you're having a massage. Apart from that HAVE FUN!!!
