Ha ha, clap and goats, you can be as anti-pink as you like, but you still get inundated with pink stuff when you have a girl.

SIL bought DD a pink t-shirt with sparkly-edged sickly bears and random meaningless English words printed on it (sweet, accessories, friends) for her 3rd birthday. Ticks every box that makes me pull faces in shops. Two years on she's still wearing it and declares it to be her favourite top.

She has at least chosen a green and black bike for her 5th birthday present. If any of her friends or their parents comment that it's a boy's bike, I will not be responsible for my actions.

Me23 · 12/05/2014 20:50

Interesting sazzle that one says girl but allegheny other Chinese gender charts have said boy for this pregnancy.

ldt87 · 12/05/2014 20:53

It's right for me sazzle, what's it saying for you? Xx

ldt87 · 12/05/2014 20:55

I went back and did it for my two girls and it was right both times for them too xx

Me23 · 12/05/2014 21:11

It was right for my first and wrong for my 2nd!

mum2kiss · 12/05/2014 21:17

My friend refused to get anything pink for her girl when she was pregnant...as soon as she was born she sent he mum on a mad dash around town to buy anything pink and frilly that she could lay her hands on because her bald little girl looked like a boy in all that blue! Lol!

gunwalloe · 12/05/2014 21:17

Sazzle it was correct for me but I'm sure I've done a different one that was wrong

TroubleAndFyfe · 12/05/2014 21:18

Final molars already yellow or just the first ones?
I am anti pink too. If we have a girl I hope most people know me well enough to not get us pink things! We have lots of nice bright things from DS which we'll use for a boy or girl.

Grannyapple · 12/05/2014 21:19

We it was right for my DD but not for my DS...so who knows!

Says girl for this one...will find out 2 weeks on Friday!

Kirstipops · 12/05/2014 21:33

I just tried it on 4 different sites and got an even draw between boys and girls results haha!!
I'm with the anti-pink & blue brigade! I don't like to see all that little princess stuff either, all those stereotypical gender roles make me cringe; I was a build-a-den/fall off my bike/climb a tree/head home and play with my Jem and She-Ra Dolls kinda gal so I'd hope if it's a girl that she'd be an all-rounder a bit like that. The DH is looking forward to messing around on his drums and guitars etc with the little un (he's not precious with his gear in that diva Spinal Tap kinda manner, lets our nephews bash away while supervised!)

Bumpforme2014 · 12/05/2014 21:47

It gave me a boy, in fact I have read loads of the wife's tales and they all point to boy for me so I am convinced! Plus my mum has a zero failure rate on the ring test and it's boy for me three times lol

I love bright colours for boys and girls like stripes and patterns rather than blue and pink.

Kirstipops · 12/05/2014 21:48

Aww LDT check out your little cutey!

CellyD · 12/05/2014 21:51

In the anti pink blue brigade too.

We got DD a train set for Christmas and a blue and green zoo animal themed bike for her 2 birthday in an effort to fight the good fight against the well intentioned but slightly soul destroying pink frilly stuff she has received as gifts. It's a tricky balance as I'm grateful that I have kind friends who want to buy gifts but wish they were in the anti pink / blue brigade too.

Saying that, all our efforts didn't stop DD asking DP for a fishing rod with princesses on it, DP's face ... a truly priceless moment.

CellyD · 12/05/2014 21:53

Great news on the good scans, how exciting to know your little ones are doing well.

STIGZ · 12/05/2014 21:53

Awww congratz on lovely scan news!! Love the pics, they are so clear!

I done the chinese gender link and its correct for me! Girl predicted and girl confirmed! Love all that stuff!!

Thanks for advice on health & safety! Keep you all posted on the outcome: briefly spoke to boss today and she said she will try & get an appropriate chair!!

I told all my parents & children last week about pregnancy and got a lot of comments saying "god you would never know" .. This is my second pg so guess im not showing as much as i think!

My legs arms and face are thinner thanks to total white wine detox ... Atleast thats one bonus for abstaining!!!

sazzlehopes · 12/05/2014 21:55

Ahhhhh thanks ladies for playing along...another thing to google for me and be silly about! All fun! It says girl for me this time. I'll know in a week if it's right!

This applies to my dd right now.. I do dress her girly and she doesnt complain but at home she likes her turtle onsie and plays with turtle figures, train track & animal figures!!

But then also has a day or two where she wears a red dress with hi heels and pretends she ailsa & anna from frozen and then another day where she is patch from 101 dalmations!!

Love her diffrent wee interests so much and has the best imagination !!!

Captainmcgraw · 12/05/2014 22:10

So exciting to hear the scan news and see your photos. Only two more days at work for me until we have ours - it's nice and early at 9.10am. Also loving the star blanket and think I'll buy one for my friend who's due soon.

mum2kiss · 12/05/2014 22:26

My dd is like yours stigz. She is mainly into non-girlie things but loves having her toe.nails painted and her ballet lessons. Other than that she is tom boy...really.into sports, doesn't like pink etc...her cousin had a princess party and dd asked if she could go as a prince lol! That said she does not like it if people call her a boy by mistake when she's kitted out in tshirt, cap and denim shorts!

YellowWellies · 12/05/2014 23:10

Awww fab scan pics!

The Chinese gender predictor was right for DS (all the other folklore stuff was wrong) and its saying girl this time. And the pregnancy is utterly different so I would be surprised if its another wee man.

Fyfe I thought it was his upper proper molars (I know 18 months is early but his teething has utterly failed to follow the normal pattern) as that's where he's had his wee hands shoved for days and his reflux has flared off the scale (which only happens with teething or dairy)....

Buuuuuutttttt this has been much worse than with other teeth (hence we thought molars) - I've just found out this evening that his three best pals from playgroup have come down with chicken pox. So I'm thinking snotty, miserable, cough, high fever, listless, just sitting on me rather than rampaging round the house means spots will be along soon. I had CP as a kid quite bad so me and the baby are safe. TBH if he has it now I'll be quite relieved as it'd explain his symptoms and our shit few nights sleep and it means it won't come along when the baby is newborn.

I'm meant to be having a spa day as a mothers day pressie tomorrow. It's not going to f**king happen is it? Sad

TroubleAndFyfe · 12/05/2014 23:28

Oh shit! That sounds pretty likely yellow! Where was he supposed to be whilst you went to the spa? If there's no way he can be looked after by someone else can you rebook the spa? Sad

YellowWellies · 12/05/2014 23:33

DH was going to drive us all to Peebles where the spa is and have a nice boys day out with him.... am just not convinced the wee one will be up for that? Arse arse arse Envy

pebble82 · 13/05/2014 00:14

Chinese test says boy for me. Also says I'm 33 when I'm 31. How does that work??

Granny we find out two weeks on Friday too. So exciting. We're going on holiday first though and I'm in danger of wishing the time away.

porcito · 13/05/2014 00:36

Chinese test says girl for me...I did one right at the beginning that said boy though. Aaargh, I just want to know. Loved that picture Stigz. Was really worried that if it was a girl, I d be expected to have to play with princesses etc. I was a dinosaur playing, tree climbing monster and wouldn't know what to do with a Barbie! Hopefully I can encourage it to have a full range of interests! Here they pierce the girls' ears before they leave the hospital as it doesn't hurt them (apparently). I really don't like how it looks for my own baby, so will have to wrestle it away from the MIL if it's a girl!

binkybunny · 13/05/2014 06:33

Great scan pics and news!

DH did 6 different gender tests online and got 4 boy and 2 girl. We're convinced its a boy so we'll hopefully find out 3 weeks today!

I'm also anti pink. MIL has told me she will be buying pink and we will be dressing her in it if its a girl. Erm no we wont! I love all the campervan stuff they have in Sainsburies at the mo. Def going to get it boy or girl. Also hate stuff with writing on which is another MIL fav. The 'my little Asbo' made me laugh Grin

yellow hope you get to your spa day. Sounds like you need a bit of 'me' time!
