I could put my foot down about finding out but don't want to force him to do something he doesn't want.

I've been so sick and basically incapacitated since week 5 that he has suffered a lot too and has done everything for us recently so it seems a bit unfair.

Loulou888 · 21/05/2014 14:58

Okla if DH decides not too then I will be disappointed but get on with it. This is bAby 3 and we already have one of each. I've just got a feeling that on the day he may change his mind as we have found out previously and I know that if I did say if was 10/10 important to me then I'm sure he would be okay. Like sazzle says we are the ones who have to do the hard work, including being and feeling sick for weeks and weeks. Depends how important it is to you. Personally I like to know so that I can be organised. I feel like I can't really narrow down any names if we don't find out. But that's because we always have before.

gunwalloe · 21/05/2014 15:16

Consultant appointment went good. Caesarian at 39 weeks. I've got to have growth scans apparently I have small baby's for my height I'm 6ft and they've ranged between 8.12 and 7.8 that's not small! Seems a bit crazy but hey ho

hefner · 21/05/2014 16:26

I'm definitely glad that we found out this time as we both had such a strong feeling it would be another girl. Good job we found out it's a boy so we've got time to get used to the idea!

DH felt the baby kick for the first time last night. He was so excited, it was lovely!

cabster · 21/05/2014 17:14

ldt87 1 DD, 18 months - was hoping for a boy, so chuffed to bits :)

MrsBadCrumble74 · 21/05/2014 19:46

Crikey ladies, I can't keep up! Admittedly been super busy with work, exams and looking after a toddler but I have been lurking quietly for the last few weeks. Yay for everyones super scan news. We had our 20 week scan last week and it was lovely. We couldn't resist finding out and we are very definitely expecting a boy :) Absolutely chuffed to bits, although my dd decided she didn't like boys so that should be interesting.

I look 9 months pregnant already - I think my stomach muscles gave up after the birth of my daughter along with my pelvic floor. Really MUST do some exercises as laughing and weeing at the same time is not a good look.

I'm feeling some pretty strong kicks including a few trampoline attempts on my bladder - ouch!

ldt87 · 21/05/2014 19:56

Lovely cabster xx

Congrats to everyone with good 20 week scans both blue, pink and the surprises! Will be exciting once they all start arriving! Xx

fedupofrainydays · 21/05/2014 21:09

Lots of exciting scan news!
We are going for team yellow / green / multi as we both love the surprise.

I look really preg now too and not telling most people til after a (hopefully) good anomaly scan! It's funny seeing blokes at work check out my belly (makes a change from talking to the chest!) but don't dare ask!

ohthegoats · 21/05/2014 21:19

I told my class today. One of them said he wondered if I'd been eating too many big macs, so it was good to know I wasn't just getting fat. Another said 'until i see a scan picture, i dont believe it'. I'd scanned one so we looked at it on the big screen. One boy announced he couldn't see a baby, but clearly it was a dinosaur. Then I got given about 300 different name options. They were really sweet.

porcito · 21/05/2014 22:22

I still haven't told my classes officially, though it's pretty obvious now. I prefer hearing the rumours about which repulsive member of the male staff it could belong to, and the shifty 'is she pregnant or just eating too many pies' glances at the beginning.

My bump is so itchy today. Also looks disgustingly hairy from my angle. I think I'm turning into a yeti.

Loulou888 · 22/05/2014 07:07

What an awful nights sleep insomnia! It's going to be a long day

mrsb87 · 22/05/2014 07:51

loulou I too am suffering with lack of sleep! I keep waking up with cramp in my leg or tummy cramps. I am now sleeping with a cushion between my knees but because I'm such a fidget I keep losing it and waking up because my hips hurt. Sorry I needed a bit of a winger today!

Kirstipops · 22/05/2014 08:43

Insomnia sucks :( Now and again I have been waking up with a weird heavy aching feeling in one of my knees, almost as if it's in my bones?? Anyone else experiencing this?

ldt87 · 22/05/2014 08:44

Ooh wanted to ask, where is everyone from? I'm in derby if there is anyone local to me? Xx

Loulou888 · 22/05/2014 09:17

kirsty I have felt all strange, achy and generally uncomfortable in my limbs! Particularly in the night.

idt87 I'm in nottingham so not too far away.

queenasanti3 · 22/05/2014 09:21

Morning all, cant believe the 20 week scans are all happening already, time is going by pretty quick, anyone got their scan today ? Mine is this afternoon, so feeling really really nervous wish it was in the morning.
Think we will be team yellow, unless we have a desperate urge to find out once we get in there, just hoping everything is ok really.
Oh yeah been back in work a few weeks now since returning from maternity, and its been funny really as you can see other people from other departments thinking is she pregnant again, but too scared to ask as i think am in that stage of is it still just baby fat or is that a bump haha x

ohthegoats · 22/05/2014 09:34

I had the most amazing dreams last night. Road trips through Indian Himalayas, with NO weirdness attached like dreams normally have. Totally brilliant. I was still pregnant in my dream though... I wonder if it's possible to dream about yourself NOT being pregnant when you are? That might be the way to actually get some proper exercise done.. ha.

LondonJen · 22/05/2014 10:00

Hia ladies

Back from scan, where very wriggley baby did not want to cooperate but lady was very patient and managed to get everything she needed in the end. All is as it should be so we are delighted. DP wavered in the room when asked if we wanted to know sex I really thought he would join me in knowing for a second there! But no! He stuck to his guns so he left the room whilst we had a look without him! He has said I can tell people but I feel awful about the idea other people would know before he does. So it will just be my little secret! I can hear the grandparents chuntering already, but tough! Anyway, I think telling you guys doesn't count so: we are team pink!

The sonographer actually said she does get a few people every week where one finds out and one doesn't. Made me feel a bit less of a odd ball!! Sure people will think it's weird and it is a bit but who cares we're both happy for having what we wanted. Just need to not blurt it out now!

ohthegoats · 22/05/2014 10:05

Haha.. how on EARTH are you going to keep that secret? Aren't you going to refer to 'her' and 'she'?

I am now wavering on my being convinced it's a girl thing... I'm SO in the girl frame of mind that if it ends up being a boy I'll feel a bit odd. So trying to imagine it's a boy too. Grandparents are referring to it as 'her' already though just because they've stupidly taken our 'absolutely no scientific basis for it' feelings as gospel. Erk.

bumpbangbump · 22/05/2014 10:18

Ha, London, that's brilliant! My oh wouldn't be able to handle that. Congrats on joining team pink!

Ohthegoats, I was certain it was a boy and I'm still trying to get my head round the fact that she's a she... It makes me really glad I caved in. Plenty of time t get used to her!

LondonJen · 22/05/2014 10:31

Bless the grandparents goats, love they went with your feelings!

Yey! Team pink! Am so chuffed. DP knows nothing about girls. All boys in his family his mum is going to be delighted and he is going to be on a massive learning curve ha ha!

DP thinks he's onto something because I said 'he' afterwards. It just came out, I didn't mean to use on or the other. So he is convinced I've given away that it's a boy! Grin

Eugh my nausea is back a bit this week and this morning even the breadsticks and crackers are not easing it. Really hope it doesn't come back full time.

ohthegoats · 22/05/2014 11:18

I'm feeling a bit sick off and on again too. This time it's dairy that settles it (weird!), rather than carbs. Icecream and yoghurt. The thought of salad and fruit, which I was so in love with only 4 weeks ago, make me feel a bit urgh.

To be honest, the long time spans during the day with a spinning/ churning/poking child near my guts isn't helping!!

mrsb87 · 22/05/2014 11:19

Congrats london! I really want to find out, I need to find £55 so I can suppress my curiosity!
Considering I have an anterior placenta, babyB is particularly busy this morning and I can feel lots!

mum2kiss · 22/05/2014 13:02

How have you been with tummy pain mrsb ? Im still getting the odd random crampy pain but have just chalked it up to my uterus stretching as I cant see what else could be causing it!

That is a big secret to keep london. I would definitely blurt it out so I think I'll just have to accept that we're team yellow...

dps car died last night on the way home from work. Garage called to say it will cost £1200 to repair!!! We dont need this expense with a baby on the way! I may have to suck it up and take the mils crappy buggy at this rate! I doubt we'll get it repaired so looks.like we'll be getting a new car.
