I used Bio Oil last time but I'm siding with fedup either you get them or you don't. I just like using the oil as I feel all flaky if I don't, my normal body butter doesn't seem to take the flakiness away.

I haven't had any stretch marks after my last 2 pregnancies but I DID get stretch marks on my boobs AFTER being pregnant with my 1DD when they became engorged from my excess milk supply (hurt like hell!!), but after 17 years you can barely notice the marks anymore :)

binkybunny · 14/05/2014 12:04

I've just weighed myself on some really accurate scales at work and I haven't put any weight on since my 8 week appointment! How can I have a huge stomach and boobs and no extra weight?

Kirsti where do you get the Bounty packs from? I signed up on line but don't have anything?

Loulou888 · 14/05/2014 12:06

binky your midwife should have given you a pack or your hospital at your scan. It's got a leaflet in there that you take into boots to get different pack from bounty too.

binkybunny · 14/05/2014 12:25

Which scan Loulou? I've only had a 12 week so far.

tothesea27 · 14/05/2014 12:30

binky I got the leaflet from my midwife at my booking in appointment, I think. It was in a bunch of papers and things when she gave me the bounty folder to put my notes in. I brought the leaflet into Asda, I think, and picked up a bounty pack, which does have a nice assortment of free stuff. I'm always up for free stuff, so I recommend getting it. (You can also bring the leaflet to Boots and maybe one other store that I can't think of at the moment.)

Kirstipops · 14/05/2014 13:23

I took mine to Superdrug, I got my pack at my 12 week scan.

Kirstipops · 14/05/2014 13:24

Not my proper Bounty pack, I mean just a pack with the Bounty coupon!

binkybunny · 14/05/2014 13:29

Aww didn't that at either my booking in or 12 week scan! Love free stuff too. Just picked up my second Emma's Diary pack at lunch :)

Loulou888 · 14/05/2014 14:08

If you ask at your next appointment with your midwife or hospital. When I went for my 12 week scan there were lots in the antenatal reception. Th first one you want is the pregnancy information folder. That's the one that has a leaflet where you can take it to boots etc to swap for more freebies to try etc called the "mum to be pack"

weeonion · 14/05/2014 14:27

Goo d afternon all. I am loving hearing all your updates.

A question for harmony testees ....
How long did yours take to come back? I was told 16 days but now told 16 WORKING days which means i still have almost 2 weeks to go?????

I am a bit frantic about this as this means I will be nearly 18.5 weeks before I hear....

fedupofrainydays · 14/05/2014 15:02

I had my consultant appointment today - apparently going for a vaginal birth is 'a good risk' to take this time. But it's section if.... Baby is bigger than ds (7.9lb), it's overdue, it needs forceps, its needs any rotation help, labour is long... So not sure of my chances as that's a long list!!
When I first sat down he asked 'so, have you thought about how you would like to deliver?' I was like 'errr no, more concerned whether this baby will get to term after mcs'. He was very nice and tried to assure me with stats and the like and that it will be ok. And said he would listen to HB for me. Got trainee doctor to do it but she fluffed it so he got the scan machine out so I got to have another look at baby. Was worried for a point when she couldn't seem to find it / I was sure it was the placenta noise and not baby. (I was right apparently!!)
So trying hard to focus on actually having a baby rather than each day of doubt that something is wrong. So very hard but am going to try.
Proper anomaly scan next Friday too.

gunwalloe · 14/05/2014 15:15

Wee onion both myn took 10 days but they were both failures as there wasn't enough baby DNA in my blood. There's a thread in anti natal tests and choices about harmony tests someone going through it now may be able to tell you there wait times

gunwalloe · 14/05/2014 15:18

Fedup I've got my consultant appointment next week I had been thinking about requesting vba2c but after considering the kids etc I think a elcs would be the best option.
Did you have a appointment due to a previous cs?

ldt87 · 14/05/2014 15:46

Hey everyone, nice to catch up on how everyone is doing! I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and have been told I've popped lol. Here's me today

fedupofrainydays · 14/05/2014 15:51

gun my appointment is due to a receiving a bad tear in ds birth. We differ as I think c section would be worse to have with ds around. Think he would be sad I couldn't pick him up as well as having a new imposter in the house! That's my thinking anyway. I would prefer to be mobile but I also wouldn't want to lose control of my bowels - which is the risk if I tear again!!!

LondonJen · 14/05/2014 15:55

Delighted to hear there are people who got stretch marks at puberty but not suffered in pregnancy. I got them badly at puberty so assumed pg would be the same. My tum is the only place I haven't got any (even have them on my calves!) doubt it will stay that way but we'll see. I liked the Bepanthen sample from my bounty pack, everything else smells too perfumed at the mo. But I can't find it locally so have given up and got palmers cocoa butter. Even if it doesn't help marks I need moisturiser badly. Not used to dry skin but on the plus side I am no longer a big oily t zone and my hair doesn't need washing every day! This has never happened to me before. It's very freeing! I've had to buy a shower cap and everything!

Hmm, that's a lot of 'buts' Fedup but still sounds like there's a good chance. Hope seeing the baby again was reassuring for you. Check you out with your placenta noise knowledge!

I felt kicks from the outside today!! So excited I do hope little one will oblige his/her Daddy when he gets home Grin

hefner · 14/05/2014 16:10

LondonJen I'm another with really bad stretch marks from puberty but none from first pregnancy so there is hope for you! I used bio oil, but I'm not sure whether it did anything.

LondonJen · 14/05/2014 16:11

Love your pic ltd!

Here's my little bump. 19 weeks today Smile

Music to my ears Hefner!!!

gunwalloe · 14/05/2014 16:42

Fedup my youngest is 8 so will understand that I'm going to be sore. If you've got younger ones to run around after a natural birth is defiantly the better option.
Have they suggested using cream to keep down there supple?

ldt87 · 14/05/2014 16:44

Your very neat LondonJen, lovely bump! Do you know what you're having? I'd say boy I think xx

LondonJen · 14/05/2014 17:16

Oo interesting, love the guessing! Scan is next Thurs, will be finding out then I hope.

LondonJen · 14/05/2014 17:18

Do you know yet ldt87?

ohthegoats · 14/05/2014 17:18

Trying to cover up my bump at school is getting a bit depressing! I'm wearing lots of empire line tops with long cardigans and scarves (all a bit floaty art teacher if you see what I mean).. it's SO unflattering, I caught sight of myself in a window today and I look ENORMOUS.

Came home and have ordered some other clothes. I don't really want to wander around looking like a ship in full sail! Going to tell the kids on Friday once SATs are finished I think. Just in time for sex ed.. cue questions like 'Eeew Miiiiiisss, did your boyfriend see your BITS?'

BingoBango85 · 14/05/2014 17:59

Loving my bargain angelsounds Doppler I picked up at a nearly new sale for a fiver. Could listen to that noise all day; its lovely and quite a relaxing sound.
