Teabiscuits OBaby Sexy hahaha I nearly spat my drink out reading that!! Yay for the Zezu Pramette club haha
Ilove Glad to hear infection is ruled out. I doubt the Tinzaparin is the cause, where have you been injecting?
The increased pressure sensation could be due to a weaker pelvic floor, seeing as you've had 2 fairly big babies any pressure (esp a growing uterus) could cause an assortment of pains on over stretched ligaments.
Tbh I can't really say why your uterus appears to be irritable, it'd just be guesswork on my part. I wish I could help you more. Just make sure you mention it is a big issue at your next antenatal appointment.
lilone Your friend was referring to the test for Group B Strep (GBS) It's found in around 25% of women, existing with no problems in the digestive and genital tract. IF a woman has it, it may pass to the baby during a vaginal delivery (not csection as baby doesnt come into contact with vagina) It isn't routinely screened for, but in pregnancy if you have a urine sample sent off to the lab (not just dipsticked) or a vaginal swab, it may be picked up. You'd then be offered antibiotics (IV) in labour and if this isn't possible then the baby would receive IV antibiotics once born until a blood test confirms they haven't got GBS.
The argument for not routinely screening women is that GBS can occur whenever, therefore if a woman was screened at her booking appointment as 'clear' she could very well not be clear by the end of pregnancy. There's a big debate about it tbh!! It is very rare that babies are affected by an undiagnosed GBS infection. I'd say just be vigilant when baby is born (not that a new mother needs telling!) for excessive sleepiness, paleness, anything that worries you and baby can be examined.
There are private testing kits available, not sure of the price. But personally I wouldn't have one, and that's coming from a Midwife. But obviously it's what you think, have a look at the research
