Espa. Glad you managed to eat something. I have had an horrendous day for sickness and am exhausted. Dp is making me some salty oven chips which is the only thing I feel like. Whether they stay put or not is a different matter.

Oh the meltdowns.... you can hear yourself, but it FEELS like the most devastating thing ever. There have been tears today. Stupidity over not being able to drink wine in the garden with Dp this summer... Also at work on the phone to Brum city council... utter rage! The poor woman on the other end.... Graaaaaa.

That doesnt stop in the second trimester either does it?!? Envy

Natasha - I hope you are ok.

All of us. I hope this shitty bit ends soon and we all bloom energetically. Grin

PolytheneGirl · 06/05/2014 20:16

BigHairy Brum City Council has that effect on me on a good day! I went a bit nuts at my friends 13mnth old today because he kept turning around when I was trying to feed him his tea. I had to hand it over to DH in the end. I think I need a holiday.

Pepsiaddict · 06/05/2014 20:22

Natasharr hope all goes well tomorrow with the midwife. IME they tend not to worry too much if you are not in pain but if you're bleeding and painful then they do lots of investigations (having spent an afternoon last week in a&e......) mainly to rule out an ectopic.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 06/05/2014 20:24

Polythene- They are terrible! Really obstructive. I am trying to buy a service from them and they obviously dont want our money. I've lived in several areas of the country and this council is the worst I have dealt with so far for sheer rudeness!

Realised I hadn't updated on here! Hospital rang about 5 pm. She said that my hcg has gone up so hopefully that's a good sign. The first one was 2500 and the second was 4000 and something (I've got 4400 in my head but it was a lot to take in) so it hasn't doubled but has risen. They've booked me in for another scan on the 14th May at 9.30.

Bettycakes80 · 06/05/2014 20:47

Thanks everyone, just signed myself up to a yoga class in a few weeks time but for now just gonna walk a bit more and sleep loads!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 07/05/2014 06:38

Gah I have just woken up twice as tired as when I went to bed. I have a long difficult day ahead which will mostly involve trying to avoid moving a shitload of furniture on my own. Envy

Sorry. No one needs to read that negativity first thing in the morning. I promised myself I would try and stay positive.

Morning all, its a lovely day. I have been awake for hours listening to the birds singing about how happy they are and havent been sick yet! Because I have to go into work early I can leave early (didnt yesterday).
Hope we all have a vom free day with plenty of energy and no really annoying people to stir the pregnancy rage. Happy Wednesday Everyone!Grin

DrewsWife · 07/05/2014 08:06

Spider your entitled to grump. Don't apologise for real feelings x

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/05/2014 08:08

I went to bed at 8pm last night just wanting a lie down, and then woke up at 2:30am! Forced myself to go back to sleep so now I've had twelve hours, I hope today will be productive! I'm off work (yesssssss) so I was planning on napping, but I doubt I'll want to now!

SassehMonsta · 07/05/2014 08:11

Ah Spider, a morning rant, just what we all need! Wink also didn't sleep well and have woken up feeling sick again. Dh has awful morning breath and its awful today (he is still asleep!).

Don't have to be at work particularly early today so going to visit hobbycraft or maybe the market for some wool. Managed to make it to knit night last which was lovely after several months off due to pantomime and stuf, so feeling more inspired today need more purple wool!

Hope everyone feels positive today, I may later!! 8+2

Morning all. Up and showered, just drying my hair. Feeling much better than Monday although was still pretty sick when I got up (way more than last week). However I've had some Weetabix and going to work. Midwife is at 4pm so I only have to last until then. So much to do at work beforebefore I go on holiday though but worried about how I'll do it :(

espa · 07/05/2014 08:21

Oh and I'm 7 weeks today and the sun is shining!

Morning all!! bighairyspider grump away- we've all been there/are there!! I've generally been feeling amazinf in the mornings which I'm really beginning to resent since I know an hour in I will begin to feel like crap. Being lulled into a false sense of security grrrrr!!

sasseh I too felt a bit more like myself last night ( I stress, a bit) and managed to do some new house planning things. Made me feel cheery for a bit.

natasharr hope all goes well today fx

I too want to start exercising again, I've managed one walk in these 9 weeks. Haven't put on any weight though. Cannot however face the prospect of exercise atm. Dtd with dh the other day made me wanna hurl. I'm all set though for some yoga in a few weeks, must get myself signed up and reserve a spot! I can just see me now with crazy visions of earth mother movements but in reality elephant like grace!

List for today:
-have a birthday lunch with friends and think up an excuse as to why I cannot go out on Friday night to celebrate birthday with my single friend. U already missed a BBQ on Sunday!

  • get some productive work done- no faffing
  • spend less time on mn Grin
ThankYouDebbie · 07/05/2014 09:11

Happy 6 weeks today to me and anyone else in the 31st Dec gang!

I hate being at the end of the month and having to watch everyone else be what feels like so far ahead. Grrr, I had this for my DS, was due on the 26th and I swore next time it would be different (not sure how I thought I was going to fix that....).

DrewsWife · 07/05/2014 09:22

Woke up today feeling human. Will see how long that lasts for though Wink.

Heading to church to make up lessons for the kids. Then heading home to pack my suitcase. Been feeling nauseous and on day 3 of my antibiotics.

Decided to tell my teen today that we are pregnant. She is going to be feeding the days daily whilst I am away. For 10 days and might notice that there is baby things sneaking in already. We decided to start buying basics like wipes and shampoos and stuff like that. Went to a car boot sale and bought a travel cot for a tenner. Labels still on and a wood high chair that turns into a table and chair set... So yeah. Lol. Grin

Boss called from work yesterday to check I was ok as I had to leave on Sunday night. He was very nice about it. So that was a relief.

natashaarr · 07/05/2014 09:30

Good morning everyone! The midwife has cancelled on me so looks like I'll be ringing 111 after work for help as I have no idea what to do I'm starting to get a few pains so I'm worried! I wish I could get it sorted now but as I'm self employed I can't leave work otherwise the family I work for will be screwed (I'm a nanny). I'm trying to stay calm and relax but I think the worryings taken over! The midwifes rearranged the app for next Thursday which is really too long to wait! I hope everyone has a good day!

DrewsWife · 07/05/2014 09:55

Natasha try not to panic. Call midwife back. Explain problem and see if someone else can see you x

SassehMonsta · 07/05/2014 10:11

Feeling fat and.bloated, so waddling today. Just been round most of the shops in Northampton to discover that next to none of them stock maternity wear. Great.

Just trying not to vomit in Debenhams cafe.... Blergh

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 07/05/2014 10:43

Good morning ladies sorry to hear you are all feeling so pants I count myself so lucky that I have not been sick at all due to all your posts!

I went and had my blood test yesterday that I chickened out of having with the midwife at my booking appt! I hate needles but managed to stay calmish, didn't black out like normal but throat did feel tight and breathing got quicker. It's quite sore today it must be a bit bruised :( does anyone know if they will want to take bloods again during the pregnancy? I really do hate medical interference and is one of the main reasons that I'm swaying towards a home birth!

10 weeks today! Literally counting down the days till midwife said my scan would be! Between 12 and 26 days away! How exciting!!!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 07/05/2014 10:47

When do you need to start buying/wearing maternity stuff? 10 weeks feels too early but everything's getting a bit tight!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/05/2014 11:19

The only thing I've been able to stomach today is lemonade, a packet of salt and vinegar crisps (the vinegar seems to stop me feeling sick for a minute or two!) and some cold stuffing :/ I tried something healthier but had to throw it away. Must start swimming next week to try and counteract this awful diet.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 07/05/2014 11:19

Emily, with my first I didn't get a bump until 28eks an didn't go into maternity wear until about 30wks but maternity wear is so shocking in this country I'd say start having a look sound now (ebay is your friend), as when you want a pair of jeans you can guarantee you can't find them. Mamas and papas sale is always really cheap.

You will get your bloods taken again in a few months

I still don't feel pregnant! Forgot I was yesterday ffs.
