Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 08:32

Sorry, neither was my post. I'm in a foul mood, esp at blokes this morning. Glad you told him to man up.

Pepsiaddict · 05/05/2014 08:37

Ots, wash your hands regularly (and thoroughly using soap) and avoid lambing sheep otherwise should be ok. Enjoy! I've also swapped back to plain frolic acid and vit D. The pregnacare fish oil is so foul when burping.

Minion · 05/05/2014 08:51

No bother hairy, if your insomnia is anything like mine then you too have been awake since 5!
I'm 7+5. He feels bad about saying it, as I went doolally at the suggestion.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 09:03

Yep. Wide awake and feeling crappy! I suppose its a funny time for men too. There's nothing for them to see or really get involved in. Partners turn into eating, vomming, emotional, irrational messes (in my case). Mine was extremely worried until I sat him down and showed him on the Internet that it was normal. He was still a bit unsympathetic until we went for scan and we saw 8 week foetus. Think it made it a bit more real for him.

CallingAllEngels · 05/05/2014 09:15

I think my DH is scared of letting himself get too emotionally attached in case soemthing goes wrong again. He won't relax until the 11 week scan.

I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off. Haven't managed to do any of my marking Blush

very Envy of you in malta kate . My dsis has just posted from travelling in Asia on fb. I'm just trying to get through the day after a night of broken sleep (DS out of bed between 4.30 and 5.30 ... yawn!). Trying to imagine the next time I'll be able to island hop or drink cocktails on the beach (or remember the last time Hmm ).

espa · 05/05/2014 10:22

Dreading work tomorrow, grateful I'm off today but not much use for trying to get stuff done! If it continues like this this weekI might need to tell work and I really don't want to yet.

I have midwife on Wednesday, will she be able to help for ms or will i need to see gp? I doubt think I have HG quite at the moment but am concerned what with 12 hour flight/leaving the country for 10 days that if it gets worse I'm going to be even more miserable and stuck overseas with no help.

CatFaceCrayola · 05/05/2014 13:03

Hmm...strange...I thought this thread was quiet. Turns out it just never showed up in my "I'm on" list.

I'm now 7 weeks. Got a big booklet of stuff to fill in off the midwife and an appointment for my "booking appointment" which apparently takes an hour...why so long??

I'm feeling pretty rough. The worst nausea seems to hit afternoon/evening. I'm hating work at the moment...partly because I'm just constantly exhausted and partly because I feel so ill in the afternoons and can't tell anyone why :(

On the positive side. .my dh is being an absolute hero and looking after me loads

Minion · 05/05/2014 13:09

cat snap
Evenings are the pits for me too!
Bork city.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/05/2014 15:00

I can't take this :( I feel nauseous from the minute I wake up to the minute I fall asleep but I haven't been sick at all. Honestly I feel so stupid, I had no idea it would be this awful. I want to cry thinking about going to work.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 15:09

Peace I feel for you. Having a terrible day here too. Take one day at a time.... hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

DrewsWife · 05/05/2014 15:35

Peace. Massive cuddles xxx

LittleSarah · 05/05/2014 15:58

Oh peace poor you! If it helps I am also nauseous from dusk til dawn (no actual vomiting). I was fairly dreading work but it's been okay. Can't wait til I feel normal again but still...

Cat - I think the apt will take a while as they'll go through the booklet with you (I need to pick mine up actually!), chat about history, options, what to expect, etc. Probably take blood, weigh you too. Can't actually remember exactly, and my last one was less than three years ago...

Also my dh has been great too, poor man being an absolute star.

isambardo - Hey! Nice to hear you managed a sunburst blanket as your first project. I have managed to learn treble crochet, puff and cluster (US ones anyway) and have begun my first square.... would have gotten further if it wasn't for sickness.

Anyhoo, can go home now, wooop!

Been and bought summer clothes for Thursdays jaunt to Malta. In desperate neeeeeed of getting away now!

Going home now to finish clearing out my bedroom and having a kip! I'm exhausted.

Got my antibiotics too. Thankfully. So downed the first dose.

KateJ28 · 05/05/2014 17:29

I'm wondering if there's something wrong with me not feeling nauseous... sounds like lots of you ladies are really struggling, I hope you're better soon. Peace, I really hope things get better for you..

Part of me wants a few more symptoms to feel it's really happening!!!

Drewswife - have a great time in Malta!! Just what the dr ordered it sounds like!!!

I had hyperemesis last time. This time major exhaustion. To be fair my first pregnancy is about to turn 18 lol.

I had SPD too. Hoping to avoid that one too x

Glasgow is big. I love the mish mash of architecture. But it's about 30 - 40 minutes drive to get there. Just frustrating when I want basics.

I always had an apron of skin since my first pregnancy. Today I'm so bloated it's lifted and doesn't look too bad !! Grin
There are some perks to pregnancy.

KateJ28 · 05/05/2014 18:15

I know!!! I am feeling exhausted, cramps, and have sore boobs so not totally symptom free... And have been suffering in my own way, a throat infection and ear infection since pregnant already! Horrid, but not sure if it's related. Hopefully that's passing now anyway...

My mum said she did escape MS though, so maybe I'll be lucky. I'm just hoping everything's okay Confused

drewswife i hope the UTI clears up before your holiday anyway, should do now you have the drugs!!!!!! Sure you'll have a fab time Grin

Just waiting for the scan tomorrow anyway, so hopefully that'll reassure me everything's on track.

KateJ28 · 05/05/2014 18:20

drewswife are you working on the commonwealth games? I was involved in the Olympics and it was great (though granted the commute doesn't sound great during pg!)

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/05/2014 18:23

I was so worried when I didn't have the nausea; now I've got it I do feel more positive that the pregnancy is viable, but I feel absolutely horrendous physically. I am completely pathetic, if I'm not asleep I'm lying on the sofa. My job is really physical and involves lots of running around up and down stairs and carrying and lifting and dealing with people. I am wishing I hadn't followed my heart and had just got a desk job somewhere where it wouldn't matter so much if I called in sick :( even if I went in late tomorrow I'd have to get the bus in which doesn't do my nausea any good (DH drives me if I go in early).

Thank you so much for the sympathy - it means an awful lot. DH has been an absolute angel, doing the washing up without being asked (we usually have arguments over it lol), bringing me drinks and letting me sleep all day. How do people do this with babies and toddlers already??

Thanks for letting me have a moan here. I keep almost picking up the phone to my mum and changing my mind. She's not sympathetic to illness at the best of times!

Treaclepie19 · 05/05/2014 18:27

Hope everyone is ok, I've been a bit vacant as I'm so worried about tomorrown results.

I'm also wondering where the morning sickness is! My sister upset me as she knows im worrying about everything and she said "I had exactly the same (cramps and things) before I was pregnant with your niece" helpful??? Basically saying it sounds like a miscarriage.
Then "I'm more worried you haven't had morning sickness yet". Umm thanks?!?!
Grr.

KateJ28 · 05/05/2014 18:40

How thoughtless treacle - sometimes you can see why it's best not to tell anybody until 12 weeks!!!

If it makes you feel any better though I've had the cramps...

Let's hope tomorrow goes well for both is us Smile - will think of you

Treaclepie19 · 05/05/2014 18:44

Definitely!

Thanks :) and you, good luck!

KateJ28 · 05/05/2014 18:57

Thank you!

And peace - moan away as much as you need to! I just hope thinks perk up soon, though glad to hear your DH is being good! :-)
