I agree BigHairy, I feel a bit of an idiot for not realising how bad the tiredness and nausea would be :( the thought of going to work on Tuesday is horrendous.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 04/05/2014 21:03

Oh god it is isnt it.... work dont even know so I cant even beg for mercy!
Maybe I should just tell them. if they sack me they sack me. Sad

KateJ28 · 04/05/2014 21:21

Let's all agree not to think about work until we have to (yuk!).

drewswife I'm in Malta at the moment, it's lovely - pretty, sunny and chilled, though I'm not used to sitting by the sea on hols without a cocktail/glass of wine in hand!!

I'm not feeling vommy but just tired and keep getting blocked up nose and sinus pain - it's been pretty constant since pg so I'm wondering if it's pregnancy rhinitis?! Has anybody else suffered?

Back to the UK tomorrow anyway, then early scan on Tuesday. Have still been having sporadic strong cramps in my abdomen, so will be good to have it checked out. Fingers crossed all okay!

Hope all of those suffering feel better soon.

Xxxx

DrewsWife · 04/05/2014 21:22

Kate I'm going to Qwara on Thursday. Grin

DrewsWife · 04/05/2014 21:23

Big hairy. Hope the migraine sods off. I had one a week or so ago. Paracetamol doesn't even touch it.

DrewsWife · 04/05/2014 21:24

How long have you been in your job hairy? I have just hit the year mark. Told my boss last week. I'm still there. Well so far! Wink

oohdaddypig · 04/05/2014 21:26

Gosh we are all suffering. I feel for you all. And me :)

Just remember the end goal will be worth it.

I have been awful today too. Retched all afternoon and night. Rushed trips to loo in Sainsbury's.

Somersetgirl1990 · 04/05/2014 21:27

Hope you feel better soon drewswife! I'm prone to uti, and obviously more so now that I'm pregnant - another thing to look forward to! Is there anything that is safe to take for uti's during pregnancy?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 04/05/2014 21:30

I am on a years contract with a six month probation (go figure). I am 8weeks from the end of that probation. If I am still in my job 26 weeks before baby is due, they are obliged to pay be maternity same as a permanent staff member. I have a feeling they'll try and avoid that! Sad

oohdaddypig · 04/05/2014 21:33

drewswife I had a uti in one pregnancy. You really need to get AB ASAP is my understanding. Can you phone NHS 24?

ViviPru · 04/05/2014 21:35

Yes Chinese I was the one with the weekend to hectic to find an opportune moment to discover whether the entire course of my life was about to change forever!

All the best for Tuesday, Kate

KateJ28 · 04/05/2014 21:35

Drewswife I'm just down the coast in St Julian. There's a great restaurant near where you're staying called cafe de mar - you should go! And (if you feel up to boats) I recommend a trip to Gozo and Comino to see the blue lagoon!

big hairy are you going to try and wait until your probation is up to tell them about the pg?!

KateJ28 · 04/05/2014 21:37

Thanks Vivi!

Yes, you can take antibiotics during pg for a UTI so I'd speak to your doc if you think you have one somerset

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/05/2014 21:48

My probation is technically over now, but I need to complete training etc this month to make it official. I'm really hoping not to tell them until at least August, but unless I start feeling better it's a bit of a long shot. I'm seeing my manager at the end of the month for a day-long meeting which is going to be tricky!

Hope everyone feels better tomorrow and manages to enjoy their day off a bit. I stupidly agreed to make a roast dinner but suspect DH will have to learn to cook sharpish if he wants to eat it.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 04/05/2014 22:09

I was going to try. I'm plump anyway so I am hoping people think I'm just getting plumper! Means I' be something like 18 weeks.... spose I just need to play it by ear.

Kittykatmacbill · 04/05/2014 23:02

Hi all,

Sorry haven't managed to catch up this week at all! I have had a totally epic one, dh had an interview was offered a job with a 5 to 8 year contract, so we can stay in Edinburgh - in our nearly beautiful flat with my mum and dad a halfhour walk away! Whhhhhoooop :-D

Dd (who is very nearly one) had her first day at nursery, she was fine whilst she was there, but came home with massively snotty nose, sore throat (least we assume that is what it is - as we have both got one!) and a couple of big bouts of vomiting too.... Ahrg.

Is anyone else getting really stupid cravings, I want salami, bacon and cheese and onion crisps the whole time. I convinced dh to go for brunch so got the bacon bit :-)

drews you must get your uti sorted out ASAP, I had one when pregnant w dd (month 8 - I think) got seriously ill ended up in hospital loads.

Take care all

I got a prescription a few days ago. Keep forgetting to fill it. DH has read me the riot act. So in morning I'm off to the only chemist open to get it. Hmm I just have a brain like a sieve.

Went to tesco to pick up food and flavoured water. Picked up size 20-22 Jammie trousers just for the room. They feel great! Very loose on but sooooooo comfy on my tummy.

Chinateacup · 05/05/2014 01:06

Hello ladies, I'm not getting chance to read all the posts but see some things about pregnacare. What's the thinking? That they make us feel rubbish? I'm taking them and am whacked - maybe no coincidence but is it worth changing?
Nice to be here with you all. Only up so late as I've already managed 5 hrs sleep tonight!

Minion · 05/05/2014 05:41

china not sure if it means anything but I've swapped mine to take it in the evening and it seems to be a bit better! downside is the vom Fest still happens! but just before bed.

Yesterday was a bit rancid for me, tiredness hit me like a freight train last night, gutted as was enjoying a lovely night with the husband. Hopefully we will start to feel better soon, more for our blokes sakes though, they must feel well neglected.. Nope, not tonight love, I'll probably vomit in your lap and fall asleep if you lay me on my back.

It's got to get better.
right!

ots · 05/05/2014 07:46

Feel like I've hit a small milestone as I'm 6 weeks today.According to one of my many apps, baby's facial features are developing this week.

We're going to an open farm tomorrow for DS' birthday. Is there anything I need to stay away from??

6 weeks.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 07:51

Stuck in the house feeling rubbiah whilst Dp goes canoeing with our friends. This is what its going to be lile from here on in isnt it. Sad

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 07:51

ots. Take hand sanitiser and usebit religiously and dont cuddle sheep.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 07:53

Minion I dont feel sorry for the blokes for not getting any (if they are not). Its not 1952 and if they cant cope with not having sex with their sick partners then they need to grow up.

Minion · 05/05/2014 07:59

Mine admitted to me he felt like I'd got what I wanted out of him and didn't want him anymore.
I told him to man up ha.
After seeing me vom every evening I'm surprised he even wants a piece of this.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/05/2014 08:21

How far along are you minion? Thats quite an odd thing for him to say really, not massively supportive.
