I struggle with a combination of crampy/achy/restless legs in the night. I'd read about bananas helping with cramp so I'm keeping my intake of them up. I'm not taking iron supplements but my iron levels are supposedly good.

clearly/kally - I've been getting either really intense baby movements or bh or something else today too, as well as other random twinges and fanjo pain. Can't tell the difference between the different pains but it was bloody uncomfortable!

SarahJinx · 20/04/2014 21:45

cbeeb the sweet thing is interesting. I went totally off my beloved high juice almost from the get go and now drink pints of water instead. But, I have dreadful preggo sweet tooth, which isn't usual at all for me, terrible high sugary and sour kiddies sweeties Blush. Will try a few hours days without succumbing!

Mrs Foo I have crazy high iron...

its dreadful though, I'm getting the poor me tears too because I just desperately need a rest, but it seems the minute I stop, the legs start.

kally195 · 20/04/2014 22:10

loopy just stood up to go to the loo and I swear it felt like something was going to fall out of my cervix Blush Guess this will be the case for the next few weeks till she arrives I'm in sodding France so nothing better actually be happening!

randdom · 20/04/2014 22:48

I was too polite to turn down the glass of Apple juice at my new neighbours today. After tossing and turning for the last hour with awful heartburn I am massively regretting it :(

ClearlyMoo · 20/04/2014 22:56

I do not know these "restless legs" of which you speak, thankfully, and have been on a lot of iron 3 x a day for 9 weeks so possibly a link!

Squirmy-squirmeson is what our baby will be called if he/she continues in current vein. Obviously I'm so do grateful for decent movements (after months of anterior placenta being in the way) but ouchie!

Quite scared by how much chocolate I've been gifted today. I'll try not to eat it all tomorrow... MW will be testing my wee on Tues!!

Nnnuurrrgggghhhhh. No matter what I do, I can't get comfortable. What's the bloody point in going to bed anymore?!
Anyone else sick of being pregnant already? Smile

ohdearitshappeningtome · 21/04/2014 01:05
Thanks

Baby Poppy Delilah born 1:43 Monday morning. Both doing well. Waiting for epidural to wear off! fantastic experience- only a tiny tear (3 stitches) and 18 min second stage! Needs a bit of oxygen to help her on her way but blood sugars seen to be stable ATM (touch wood) x

NannyPlumForPM · 21/04/2014 05:58

Oh and 7lbs :)

hobbjobb · 21/04/2014 06:24

Congrats nanny! Xxx

NannyPlumForPM · 21/04/2014 06:27

She's been taken nicu already. Knew it was too good to be true. Another baby I got to look at for a whole hour

hobbjobb · 21/04/2014 07:03

It will be the best place for her. Try to concentrate on getting over the epidural, I am sure she will be in your arms again soon. I hope you are ok, you've done an amazing thing xxxx

Minions · 21/04/2014 07:13

Congratulations on the arrival of Poppy nanny! Glad birth went well but sorry she's in nicu - hope it's not long til you've got her back in your arms. Must be tough but think about the amazing care she's getting so you can all go home soon x

Minions · 21/04/2014 07:15

And clearly, I'm the same - back at midwife tomorrow and wondering about the effect of Easter chocolate! Went a bit mad yesterday but plan is to be good today (except for cake with friend this afternoon....)

Xavielli · 21/04/2014 07:34

Congratulations nanny xx fingers crossed it's a short stay xx

Induction tomorrow, I wish I was more excited rather than just this sense of impending doom. I've had some issues with ExP and childcare for the elder two and it's really thrown me off kilter.

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 21/04/2014 07:46

Congratulations nanny, try and get just a little bit of sleep (impossible I know) while the epi wears off then you can rush up and see her. She's in the best place so they can keep an eye on her and she will be with you again really soon xx

ohdearitshappeningtome · 21/04/2014 07:47

Aww nanny!! Congrats? How come she's gone nicu! Mini me spent three days on nicu because he was grunting and he was on cpap! He came off cpap after 8 hours and was on a dextrose drip for 48 hours! 12 hours after that finished he was back on the ward wth me,
Being treated for a chest infection!!

Lots of photos and get expressing for her! Wishing you lots of love xxxThanks

PotatoPolly · 21/04/2014 07:52

congratulations nanny beautiful name! hoping she's not in nicu too long.
good luck xav will be thinking of you!
sorry, can't look back on the app and see who mentioned it, but oh god I know what you mean about baby feeling very low- at the minute I feel like he's round my knees!

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 21/04/2014 07:52

Sarah I've been on iron tablets for a while now and it's made no difference! Check the ingredients list or aspartame, it may be that that's causing the restless legs (it's why I have up the squash and the skittles set it off too!)

ClearlyMoo restless legs is where your legs kind of jump involuntarily when you're not doing anything. Sleeping is usually the worst because the jumping or jerking or sudden movements keep you up. It's really crap and very common in pregnancy, although I do get it out of pregnancy as well so maybe that's why it was so bad for me?

Like I said cutting out squash and sweets (anything with aspartimine in) has really helped

Choppa · 21/04/2014 08:40

Congrats MC baby and Nanny!

So exciting to hear of all the arrivals. Makes me well up!

Isean....sounds like you have had a really tough start but you are doing so well. Damn hormones and guilt are a horrible combination...whoever thought this up was a wank badger Grin

Good luck with the induction Xav. It's always unsettling when someone lets you down with childcare....really unfair given the circumstances. Fingers crossed the induction goes well for you and there is now light at the end of the tunnel!

Ordered last bits online this morning...pool liner and tens machine. Midwife here tomorrow to book us for home birth hopefully.

Now have entered the DROP ZONE... 37 weeks today! Woo hoo.

dobedobedo · 21/04/2014 08:44

Congratulations nanny! I hope Poppy is out of nicu soon and back with you. Thanks Thanks

Last night I had three strong contractions, they hurt a lot, and lots of back ache in between. And then pffft. Nothing. They just stopped. Grrr. I was sure I was going into proper labour. Oh well. Today I'm clearing out ds bedroom so it gives me a chance to do that I guess. I'll probably go way overdue and need to be induced at 42 weeks!

impatientlywaiting · 21/04/2014 09:36

Huge congrats Nanny. I hope that Poppy is doing well and out of nicu very soon. Gorgeous name by the way.

Good luck Xav for tomorrow, these babies are coming thick and fast now.

Chip86 · 21/04/2014 09:53

Congratulations nanny so lovely and a lovely name hope she is out soon and with you

all the best xav we will be thinking of you

loopylou52 · 21/04/2014 10:06

Huge congrats on the birth of little Poppy nanny! Hope she's back in your arms very soon.

Hope the situation gets sorted xav, so you're able to focus on tomorrow.

moobaloo · 21/04/2014 10:12

Hi all!

Congratulations Nanny! Hope she's back with you soon Smile x

Aw wow LTT hairy baby sounds cute! I love all his dark hair in the pics on Facebook! Glad you're doing well x

Good luck tomorrow Xav! X

I have a weird shaped bump, I have decided today. It goes out and then down in quite a flat fronted way, it's not all pointy outy like an egg on its side like some I've seen! Dp put his arm over me last night and said blimey, what's that? He put it on the top of my bump which is always hard with a big round bit in the middle which I believe is his bum! Then baby started wiggling and pushing dps arm with his backside haha

Anyway. Maybe the weird shape of my bump is why it was measured small? Feels like I have a big baby in there just with little padding. I may be wrong though

Hope you all had lovely Easters!

36 weeks today!
