Hi everyone,

A new thread for us chatty bunch due in November. Could someone repost the stats? I'm on my phone so can't do it. Thank you!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Thisisimpossible · 14/04/2014 13:33

Thank you ladies Smile

Random that's quite shocking really considering what they said. I hope it all goes ok for you.

Giraffe thank you, I will give the doctor a ring.

RiverRocks Great news about the scan date :) Yes, it's my first and I'm 39 so not exactly in the throes of youth. It's been a long time coming as well. Although I'm over the moon I'm also terrified about something going wrong hence the panic about seeing someone sooner rather than later.

chirpchirp · 14/04/2014 13:43

Hi all, Glad to hear scanning appointments are coming round, that means mine will be here all the sooner! Feeling a bit brighter today (I've still been sick at least three times but haven't constantly felt like shit in between vomitting which has helped!) Also cheered up by the fact I had totally forgot my office was closing for the easter weekend which means I'm only working two days this week and two days next and then off to centre parcs for five days the week after.

Venus2 · 14/04/2014 14:46

Hi Thisisimpossible, I am due the same day as you with DC1 :) I am seeing a mw for the first time next Thurs and haven't booked a scan yet. Hoping the mw will advise.
9+0 Boobs a little less tender now and not quite as sleepy :) Appetite still off the charts and I'm not going anywhere near scales as I won't like the answer :(
New symptom this week is shortness of breath. Anyone else getting that? Does it last for the whole pregnancy or is it just the body adjusting?

Snooky17 · 14/04/2014 15:06

Hi
Can I be removed from the list please, had scan today baby died at some point over the weekend, my second miscarriage in 5 months have to question if my body is telling me at 39 I need to stop trying, all the best to everyone x

Thisisimpossible · 14/04/2014 15:09

Snooky17 I am so, so sorry to hear that. Take gentle care of yourself. Hugs xxx

Venus2 · 14/04/2014 15:16

Snooky17 - So sorry for your sad news. Hopefully third time lucky x

Thisisimpossible · 14/04/2014 15:18

Venus2 I'm the same with less tender boobs and not being quite so sleepy...although I am Miss Irrationally Angry today and have been most of the weekend unfortunately for my poor DH. I can throw a major strop at the most trivial of things at the moment Blush

I have been short of breath since week 5. I don't know how long it lasts for I'm afraid, but it's horrible - I'm normally quite fit but suddenly I can't even climb the stairs without hanging off the bannister at the top to catch my breath. I'm also eating for England. Sweet things have suddenly become priority when I normally don't have a sweet tooth at all!

Venus2 · 14/04/2014 15:32

Thisisimpossible - You could be my twin. We are going through all the same symptoms. Also, my DH thinks I'm Miss Cranky. Ice cream time ;)

thethirteenthcoming · 14/04/2014 15:36

Can I join you lot? Shareholding needed as well!

8w1d today and, after two mmc I am nervous. Enough to go for an early scan which has provided the shock of my life: not one, but two heartbeats!
EDD 22nd of Nov, and whilst I'm extremely excited by the prospect, I'm also panicking. One DD aged 4.

I'm looking forward to my 12 week scan, but it seems such a long time away. Daunting as well as that was when I'd found out about the previous losses.

thethirteenthcoming · 14/04/2014 15:37

handholding

Wow!! Twins, very exciting and emotional I bet!

alita7 · 14/04/2014 15:51

impossible, call your doc again It's what she's therefore, get her to chase up the midwives who she should have referred you to :)

snooky I'm so sorry, if you comeback and read this then please be re assured that my mum had 2 miscarriages then she had me :) your body might just be working out what to do or maybe you were unlucky and genetics messed up :(

wow we have 2 sets of twins now don't we?

feeling sicky again today and did yesterday too.
having some horrible nightmares woke up with DP asking what was up last night. luckily I can't really remember the dreams enough to bother me in the morning.

Venus2 · 14/04/2014 16:03

Welcome Thethirteenthcoming :)

Thisisimpossible · 14/04/2014 16:35

Hi alita I have just done so and she said that the midwife is in on Wednesday and that she'll get her to call me.

Hi thethirteenthcoming, wow that's really exciting! Grin and also terrifying at the same time I should imagine!

chirpchirp very jealous of your holidays! Enjoy the short weeks Smile

amylou85 · 14/04/2014 16:38

So so sorry snooky17 that's awful for you. I keep hearing far too many horror stories.
I went for my early scan today as had gone for one at 5 weeks due to spotting but nothing to see so early on.
I saw the heartbeat! It's so magical! Measurements said I am 7+1 today. Been discharged from the early pregnancy unit so have just booked in at the docs, waiting for midwife to call for an appt. SO exciting!
Those who are worried, it's so easy to book a private scan, I have now done so for 10 weeks as I didn't want to wait 5 weeks from now and then find bad news. It cost £99 but I think it's totally worth it to see that everything is OK.
Also, I'm CONSTANTLY HUNGRY! Help! I feel like I eat and then half an hour later I'm ready for a full on meal again. It's driving me mad!! Had to stock my cupboards full of nuts/grapes/melon etc to try and keep my snacking healthy as funnily enough Thisisimpossible I am normally all for sweet things but now I don't fancy it at all!

amylou85 · 14/04/2014 16:39

Sorry meant to add that I booked through

Venus2 · 14/04/2014 17:00

Congrats amylou. I can't wait to get a scan and hear the heartbeat too but DH wants to wait to 12 weeks. So far away

RandomInternetStranger · 14/04/2014 17:09

All my disabled stuff turned up today and my neighbour and I had a play with the wheelchair up & down the road. So much fun!!! I'm going to have arms like Arnie by the end of it though, that is one hell of a workout! So at least now I know I'll be fine in the house, fine once I'm in the chair out and about, fine driving, it's just the bit getting the chair in and out of the car and getting me from the house to the car and the car to the chair and back again. My neighbours can help from this end if I get stuck (big strong teenage sons!) but it's the other end that is the problem. Confused Not sure flirting with young strong men passing by works with a big fat pregnant belly!! Grin

I won the £200 John Lewis voucher on the Cadbury's easter thread so I am really chuffed today, that's had me grinning all day! Grin

My ridiculous hunger seems to have subsided thankfully!! The last few days I've actually been full after one large dinner instead of still wanting more after 3 of them and I've not been up in the night cooking yet another meal at silly o'clock. My boobs don't hurt so much, but still a bit tender, and I've not needed my ginger and seabands lately so the sickness has passed, touch wood. I'm still getting daily nosebleeds which is fucking irritating, had 2 today. Angry

2nd mw appt tomorrow. Smile

ElleOhElle · 14/04/2014 18:40

ah snooky - so sorry!! Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks
we seem to.have lost too many ladies on this thread!! Sad

ElleOhElle · 14/04/2014 20:00

just had my second dinner of the evening!

barmybunting · 14/04/2014 20:08

Hi everyone, how are you all coping?

I've been visiting friends for the last few days so haven't checked in much, I hope everyone is getting on ok.

I've found after an awful week with nausea and vomiting last week, I've felt much better for the last three days or so. Not nearly as sick thankfully. The tiredness is still lurking but I think that's also because I've been travelling a lot. I'll be pleased to get home tomorrow. My breasts have also stopped feeling as sore. Although it's a relief not to feel sick constantly I'm also worrying about why my symptoms are dropping off and if it means something is wrong. Only 9+1 today so it seems a bit early. Has anyone else noticed symptoms lessening at this stage?

Booking in appointment is on wed and 12 week scan is 3 weeks on Wed so it seems a long wait!

OP posts:
Loaf99 · 14/04/2014 21:26

I also have lesser symptoms now and was worrying but assuming this is fairly normal??

ElleOhElle · 14/04/2014 21:41

not sure about symptoms but my friends stopped around 9/10 weeks and baby was fine at 12 week scan.

anyone else feeling hot and cold? Confused

Horispondle · 14/04/2014 21:51

Sorry for your bad news Snooky.

Reading these posts and watching One Born Every Minute, has spurred me on to book a private scan. I was waiting to see if my 12wk scan was going to be before or after our holiday but I had a midwife appointment today and saw that my scan referral form hadn't even been sent off yet (all that constant checking of the letterbox was in vain)! And there must have been a cancellation at the private clinic because when I check last week there was a two week wait but now I've got one for Saturday. Yay!

Loaf99 · 14/04/2014 21:53

Yes hot!!!
