We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Sorry gun I dont understand what that means. If you get a certain score does that mean the baby won't survive? I'm just worrying now we rushed into a decision and maybe didnt fully understand the tests!

gunwalloe · 24/03/2014 19:15

Binky you get a risk score the same as nuchal. Are you having a dating scan? If you are even though your not having the nuchal they will still look and check the measurement and have a good look at the baby.

gunwalloe · 24/03/2014 19:20

pebble82 I only had myn the same day as I went private and they took the blood two weeks ago. If I had had a NHS scan they would have taken the blood after the scan then sent a letter if low risk or a phone call if high risk in 1-2 weeks. I think there are different policys at different hospitals though

Me23 · 24/03/2014 19:24

gun yes I've read about nub theory but I read it wasn't very accurate especially at earlier gestation at 11 weeks it's said to be about 50//50 so didn't think it was worth asking.

binky gun didn't saw she had a risk result that was incompatible with life but that t13 and t18 (Edward's and pataus syndrome) isn't compatible with life and the 1st trimester screening also screens for those.

MundayCakes85 · 24/03/2014 20:02

fatpony we told our family after our 10 week scan as we saw the heartbeat. They were all so excited!

Wiggy29 · 24/03/2014 20:12

Wow- great to see so many gorgeous babies in bloom! Have a scan date for next Wednesday- exciting, can't wait to tell our eldest dc.

Been ill for past few days (hence not on here), not pregnancy related, doctor thinks it's a virus/ something I've eaten.

Had my first (unintentional) negative comment from pain in arse MIL when was ill: "I hate to say it, but you aren't pregnant are you?" Angry and when I said no she replied "Thank god!" Angry Angry Angry We want to tell dc first this time so had to lie but so cross! Thought it was such a stupid thing to say as I face having a hysterectomy soon and so dc2 was a blessing and dc3 is just amazing! They know we wanted to try for dc3 so thought it was very hurtful. DH suggested it's because we're renovating house and they don't want us to have 'too much on' (he normally can't stand them but was trying to pay devil's advocate as I was livid) but tbh, house will take years to do up and the fact that we are having another dc is a total miracle to us. They always have to shit rain on our parade! Sorry- rant over Blush

Wiggy29 · 24/03/2014 20:17

Also, I wanted to ask your opinions, I totally forgot that DH and I have spa day on Sunday that we were given as a present. I'll be 11+5/6 by then and although pretty sure about dates (was using clear blue fertility monitor) I can't be 100%. They don't advise massage before 12 weeks and not really interested in other treatments- should I try to postpone it or do you think it would be find as so close to 12 weeks anyway? Spa is always super busy so would probably have to delay by a couple of months and DH& I could really do with a relax and some time on our own.

Thoughts Confused?

binkybunny · 24/03/2014 20:28

Thanks gun and me for explaining. We're having our dating scan on Thursday. Just wanting to make sure we are making the right decisions! Feel a bit Blush but its all so new and a bit confusing. Especially with the lack of sleep I've being having!

Grannyapple · 24/03/2014 20:51

wiggy you could still have a facial? I've done that before when on spa days with girlfriends in 1st trimester..

Can't remember who said about telling parents/in laws early...but we told our in laws with our 1st when I was only 6 wks (hadn't had private scan or anything). FIL was dying so we had to a dash back to Scotland in a few hours...we told him the day before we died & he was well chuffed. We've told MIL both times after that when I was 6 wks again too...my parents are both no longer here & I tell my sister early on...plus if anything were to happen, I know that MIL & sis would be down in a flash..

Has booking in appt today..all fine & had a comedy moment from mw "have I not seen you recently?" Grin..she had a giggle when I told her my daughter was only 7 months old.. She tried to get me to commit to a home birth...I'm considering it this time...but will see how I feel later on. Would be handy from a childcare perspective Grin

Grannyapple · 24/03/2014 20:52

Ps great to see good scan results...roll on 8th April for mine!

familyfortunes · 24/03/2014 20:54

wiggy, a lot of spas do treatments specifically for us pregnant ladies, I would call and ask their advice.

Kirstipops · 24/03/2014 21:54

Yep Wiggy think it depends on the spa so best checking ahead, I've got a spa weekend coming up in a couple of months, I'd read on other spa websites that even outwith first trimester they only offer limited treatments for preg peeps. I checked the one I'm going to and they said they can alter all of their treatments to cater for pregnant ladies, first trimester or not, gawd I can't wait for a massage!

binkybunny · 24/03/2014 22:26

Anyone watched OBEM tonight?

TroubleAndFyfe · 24/03/2014 22:31

Great news me23, so glad everything's okay!

fatpony · 24/03/2014 22:34

Thanks all, now I feel a bit more confident about telling the in-laws on Sunday :)

TroubleAndFyfe · 24/03/2014 22:47

Yes Binky!

binkybunny · 25/03/2014 06:40

Oops started a conversation about obem then fell asleep last night! Has anyone got a scan today?

Mrsthedog · 25/03/2014 07:02

Had really weird dreams last night - a bit like the ones in early pregnancy. I dreamed that a baby (a boy) arrived at my house and people were saying it was mine but I was still 10 weeks pregnant and I was very confused how this could have happened. Puppy and my mother were cooing over it but I wasn't interested because I was so confused. And then I dreamed I was in Woolworths and couldn't get out. And then I was in a field at midnight with a shopping trolley and I was spinning round and round while looking at the stars.

Weird!!!!

MrsF2510 · 25/03/2014 07:10

Got the 'dentist' today at 3, aka my booking in app - finally at 11 wks 6 days, still no news of scan date though!

mum2kiss · 25/03/2014 07:20

Weird dreams Mrs ! The night I went into labour with dd I dreamt I went to the loo and a raw chicken fell out!!! I immediately woke to contractions!

So ive been feeling worried the last 24hrs...symptoms all gone including pgp!!!!!! I am praying everything is ok. Not sure if to call midwife or not :(

binkybunny · 25/03/2014 07:35

mum2 I'm sure you'll be fine. I've just had 2 days of not feeling pregnant only to throw up this morning :-( Was starting to get concerned now I wish I had just enjoyed it more!

mrsthedog you should write down your dreams. You never know, you might have a book of best selling short stories at the end of it Grin

mrsb87 · 25/03/2014 07:40

Ah ffs, I am so so fed up now. I had planned to go back to work today after being off for 8wks but HG has other plans for me. I felt like I had gone backwards yesterdayas I was struggling to keep anything down, incl fluids. I even struggled to eat half a piece of toast this morning so I think work is off the cards again Sad
I am so disappointed in myself. I just want to sit here and cry.

magichandles · 25/03/2014 07:44

Don't be disappointed in yourself mrsb87 - there is nothing you can do about it - pregnancy affects us all differently!

Mrsthedog I woke up in actual tears this morning after a dream I had last night - over emotional? Grin

ohthegoats · 25/03/2014 07:45

Don't worry mum2kiss, I've had a few days here and there with no symptoms at all - after the first two, I decided to enjoy them, because they don't come often enough!

For example, I felt AWFUL on Sunday, barely ate, exhausted, slept a big chunk of the day.. then yesterday I was absolutely fine, was still at the gym at 8pm last night, totally awake and feeling normal. Today I'll probably have a bad day again.

binkybunny · 25/03/2014 07:46

Oh no mrsb ! Jusy when things were looking better. You shouldnt feel disappointed in yourself, there's not really anything you can do. Sending hugs your way x
