We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Great news bump is your due date what you predicted ?

binkybunny · 24/03/2014 14:11

Yay so pleased to hear of another good scan bump

Me hope your spotting stops soon, at least you have a scan today that should hopefully put your mind at rest!

TroubleAndFyfe · 24/03/2014 14:36

Yay bump! Grin That's great. More details please!
Hope you're alright me23!

bumpbangbump · 24/03/2014 15:30

Date has moved to October 2nd. Not surprised as my first was moved a similar amount. How have my fellow scanners gotten on??

hefner · 24/03/2014 15:49

It's lovely to hear all the scan news. I've got mine on Thurs and I'm so nervous! I won't relax until I see a heartbeat. I'll be really glad to get it over with.

Kirstipops · 24/03/2014 16:00

Good scan for me too, all looks as it should and a midwife who could give a rugby player a run for his money found an obliging vein in my wrist with no problems, whoopee!! I'm 13+2 so my due date is now 27th September (which means the conception date actually pre-dates the date of my last period so not entirely sure about that tbh!)
Happy days :)

Scan went great I got a fabulous low risk score :)
Had blood redrew for the harmony test but if it fails again I will be happy with my risk from the nuchal the sonographer at the FMC was fantastic she oozed confidence and made me at ease that baby is fine and its a girl! She showed us the nub and explained the theory she said 80% sure im so happy!!!!

TroubleAndFyfe · 24/03/2014 16:50

Grin Brilliant news! Glad she got your vein okay Kirsti, great that the scan was good. So pleased for you Gun, and to know the gender already is amazing!

FlipFantasia · 24/03/2014 17:06

Loving all the scan news! Mine's on wed morning and am nervous/excited (the 6 week scan feels a long time ago!). In the meantime it's great to hear of other October (or late Sept!) bubs waving away Smile

Gun how exciting about the nub theory!

Me23 hope the spotting has stopped and your scan has gone well.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and so ready for the puking & nausea to stop. Though I'm feeling less tired so hoping it's the start of things to come!

Mrsthedog · 24/03/2014 17:18

Fantastic scan news peeploids!!

Two weeks today :)

MundayCakes85 · 24/03/2014 18:20

Great to hear more good news from the scans! It's an exciting time! Looking forward to hearing more in the next few weeks Smile

ohthegoats · 24/03/2014 18:26

Congratulations all, sounds good.

It's funny that so many of us are getting September dates - I reckon I'll easily be in October.

Told the boss, he was massively shocked - really had no idea. He was really nice about it though, just kept mumbling on about 'how on earth am I going to replace you?', which was quite sweet.

ohthegoats · 24/03/2014 18:36

And, I'm still waiting for the 'massively happy' feeling. I feel mostly numb about it, think I'm still in a bit of shock. It feels to me as if it's just something medical happening (and I'm generally scared of medical things), rather than something really exciting.

That's not a normal reaction is it? Wonder when the good stuff will kick in.

fatpony · 24/03/2014 18:36

Yay for all the lovely scan news!
A question for those of you that have told your families already (before your scan); did you worry about getting not good 12 week scan results?
In a bit of a tricky situation as we're seeing my DH's parents next weekend but that is before our 12 week (have had a good 10 week scan, everything seemed fine, but obviously no nuchal etc) - the day after our 12 week we go away and then they do so won't see them again till mid-May. It would mean so much to them as they've had some tough times recently (DH's dad currently having cancer treatment) just slightly anxious about telling them and then something turning out to be wrong. We can of course tell them by phone after the 12 week it would just be sooo lovely to tell them in person and see their faces!

Bumpforme2014 · 24/03/2014 18:38

Great scan news everyone! I had a horrendous night sleep which saw me waking every single hour needless to say I felt very sick this morning and was late for work.

I am telling my boss tomorrow, bit nervous as like you ohthegoats I know he suspects nothing and will be shocked, I've only worked at my company for just over a year as well so some people may think that's a bit soon? I am looking forward to him knowing though as at least it will explain my not being quite 'with it' over last few weeks and my sick days. Why am I so nervous though eeeekkkk

Bumpforme2014 · 24/03/2014 18:43

Fatpony, we were in the same dilemma, we weren't seeing DH parents but had agreed to tell them after last weeks scan, when we found out I was ten not twelve weeks we pondered what to do. In the end we called and told them, like you it means so much to them as they lost their son in law last year and their daughter almost died in car accident a few years ago so they deserve this news. Regardless of what happens at twelve week scan it didn't seem right that they never knew and I would want them to know if worst happens so I would tell, law of attraction as well so act like all okay and it will be :-)

ohthegoats · 24/03/2014 18:45

I just did it in a really non formal way - he was blathering on about something to do with next year, while standing in my classroom door. I pushed him out of the room, and closed the door behind me and told him in the corridor. Then while he stood there open mouthed, I just rubbed his arm and said 'I'll leave you with that one then' and went back into class. About 5 minutes later (I had watched him standing there open mouthed through the window in the door), he came in and said 'A word please Miss Ohthegoats', and we carried on the conversation in the corridor. Dead professional.

binkybunny · 24/03/2014 18:47

Can I ask what is possibly a silly question. Is the nuchal test just for Down Syndrome or does it test for something else too? We said no to the tests as we don't want to know if the baby has down syndrone or not but just wondering if it also tests for something else?

Me23 · 24/03/2014 18:48

Glad scans have gone well. All is well with me saw baby heart beating away on the screen :-) due date has been moved forward to the 11th oct making me 11+2 today which is also the earliest they can do nuchal Hmm well baby has a 5 week window anyway! The spotting has stopped and I'm feeling very sick today.
Interesting your sonographer was so confident with the gender gun I thought at this stage the genitals look very similar, I didn't ask the sonographer in case they got it wrong. Will have to wait until may.

CareBearWithFangs · 24/03/2014 18:48

Hooray for good scan news!

Hope your alright me23.

Fatpony I've told quite a few people now. My scan isn't for another 3 weeks. But everyone I've told I'd tell if anything went wrong anyway.

Ohthegoats, do you feel relieved now that you've told work? I think it's fairly normally to feel a bit shocked/numb. With DD I was pretty shocked all the way through and for a while after she was born tbh. But DD wasn't planned.

I feel awful again today. So bored of feeling feeble all the time. I want to do things other than sitting!

pebble82 · 24/03/2014 18:52

Fatpony, I feel the same. We've told both sets of parents and my first ever scan is on Thursday. I'm now dreading there being a problem but I know that the anxiety I would have felt not being able to share it with my Mum outweighs the chance of anything being wrong. She's expecting an emailed pic on Thursday after my scan so just hope I'll be able to send one.

Part of me is half expecting there to be no baby at all and I've imagined it all. But 10 tests can't be wrong. It all just seems so surreal right now. I think my hormones are responsible for my swaying worries from "oh my god what am I doing" to "ooh how exciting we're going to be parents."

thegirlwhouk · 24/03/2014 18:58

I'm so pleased for everyone's scan news - exciting to be looking at all the pics. I haven't been on much because I'm avoiding thinking about it too much at the mo! However..,

I'm getting increasingly cross as I'm 10+5 tomorrow and have not heard a peep from midwife or had a scan date through! I called last week and they didn't have my referal so had to get the doc to fax it through again. I called the day after to check it had been received and they confirmed it had.

We're away on holiday the week after next, when I'm 12 weeks so told them that when I rang and they seemed to think it wouldn't be a problem!! However if they don't fit me in next week (and if they are going to, when will I find out!!!) I'll be 13+ 4 by the time I get back off my hols and that's getting close to the end of the nuchal cut off.

Tempted to keep on nagging them, but don't want to make a name for myself!!!

gunwalloe · 24/03/2014 18:59

me23 this is how it was explained to me ive cut and pasted it from another site

What is nub theory?
Between 11-13 weeks, all babies are said to have a 'nub' between their legs, and the angle of the nub will indicate whether it's a boy or girl.

It's said that if the nub is over 30 degrees up, it's a boy - but if it's under that then it's a girl. See our pictures below as an example.
Read more at www.goodtoknow.co.uk/family/474180/Nub-theory--Predict-your-baby-s-sex-at-12-weeks#H4UTeLxXYtYh5GfY.99

binky I also got a risk score for T13 and T18 both which aren't compatable with life

magichandles · 24/03/2014 19:00

Great scan news - mine seems ages away still!

I've told a few people, but all good friends and most of whom knew we were thinking about a third - in fact I was going to keep it to myself for a bit but a couple of friends guessed when the pee was practically still wet on the stick (I'm rubbish at lying if asked outright).

My parents are coming to stay this weekend so I'm going to tell them then (and get it over and done with) - they'll guess if I don't have a couple of glasses of wine anyway.

I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment that I am feeling much better - I haven't felt sick at all today and have felt pretty much normal (of course that brings its own worries!).

pebble82 · 24/03/2014 19:10

Those that have had scans do you get the nuchal results there and then?

Also, I haven't had any results back from bloods taken at my booking in appointment, do you know when I'll get those?
