kitkat thinking of you, fingers crossed you get good news at epac, im a day behind you, 6wks saturday, with dc1 I had a scan at 6w3d which showed baby+heartbeat, so hopefully you will see something, its such a agonising nightmare waiting.

xxmissbrightsidexx I totally sympathise, my dd(3) had me up at 2.30am this morning, I then had a nightmare trying to drag myself out of bed, slept in till 7.40am! was then a mad rush to get all 3dc out the house by 8.10 as the boys had drs appt before school! we just about did it but I look a state as I must of had a night sweat last night and my hair now looks v greasy, yuk! How old is your dc?

sebs Same here, as i said upthread i was v sick throughout all 3 previous pregnancies, pretty much as soon as +hpt, Its worrying that i still am not feeling sick in the slightest. everytime i feel damp down there I rush to the loo thinking im spotting but its just cm++ Its going to be a very anxious next 6/7wks methinks!!! I didnt feel anxious at all with my dcs but I think the fact its someone elses baby is making me ultra nervous that something will go wrong!

noitsachicken · 21/01/2014 13:41

Things seem to be getting worse, more blood and some clots. EPU said I can go back tomorrow morning. Until then I have to wait it out, so hard, on my own with DS. Will try to take him out this afternoon to take my mind off it!

LH1981 · 21/01/2014 13:44

It's such a nerve-wracking time, isn't it? Fingers crossed for all you ladies experiencing spotting. Hoping it's just one of those strange normal parts of pregnancy.

surro what an amazing thing you're doing! I've thought about it before but not sure I could go through all that. What made you decide you wanted to do it?
Xx

Ellisisland · 21/01/2014 13:45

noitsachicken- I had the same when I was pregnant with my DS. Large clots and constant blood and everything turned out fine. Fingers crossed for you Smile

KitKat1985 · 21/01/2014 13:58

Sorry to hear mummyinpink that you're in the same boat. Seems to be a lot of us at the moment. May be worth talking to GP though, even if you don't mention it to DP until you know something for definite? The not knowing is pretty hard-going.

Thanks for the kind thoughts surromummy.

noitsachicken I really hope we both get good news tomorrow morning at the epau. I'm taking the same tactic as you and trying to distract self and sort out some holiday bits (visa etc) and go visit parents in a bit.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. Shame so many of us are in this horrible position at the moment. xxx

noitsachicken · 21/01/2014 14:01

Thanks Ellis
Fingers crossed for us kitkat

surromummy · 21/01/2014 14:01

noitsachicken thinking of you, good luck at epu in the morning xx

LH1981 I watched a documentary about it when I was 19, shortly after having dc1 (had lots of problems recurrent mcs before dc1) and decided that if the time and circumstances were ever right I wanted to do it. back in 2012 I lost my best friend to cancer suddenly, she was only 32Sad her death brought a lot of things to the forefront of my mind...wills, life insurance, my own mortality etc and after splitting with dcs father the previous yr (he was always dead against the idea) I decided the time was right. I met A&G august last year and we started trying in November, we were very lucky to get a bfp on only our 2nd attempt! must be more fertile than I thought! I cant explain why I know I can do it, I just know I can, there has never been a shred of doubt about it, Im so excited and thrilled that Im helping them become parents after 12yrs of failed ivf, cant wait to see their faces after the birthGrin

ksrwr · 21/01/2014 14:18

hi everyone, can i join?
i found out this morning that i'm pregnant.
that makes me 4 weeks and 4 days
i was pregnant this time last year, and found out at 9 weeks that the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks, i ended up miscarrying at 11 weeks.
so there wasn't any celebration in our house when the test was postitive this morning, i think we're both just dreading the same thing will happen again.
its so emotionally draining!
so, if it all works out my EDD will be 26 September. seems crazy to be thinking about due dates having only taken a test this morning!!
i am so sorry to hear about the worries some of you are having with bleeding and spotting, the uncertainty is hard to bear.

ksrwr · 21/01/2014 14:19

Firstimemum3 · 21/01/2014 14:20

Thinking of you all with the spotting :( it must be hell. Hope everything turns out fine!!!

surromummy that's so amazing what you're doing!

rockin20s · 21/01/2014 14:34

ksrwr welcome

its impossible to relax at this point i think.

ksrwr · 21/01/2014 14:42

thanks rockin, i hope you get nice high HCG levels in your test results

i dont feel pregnant either, and my positive line on the test was very faint... i know how you feel...

Mummyinpink1289 · 21/01/2014 16:18

iv googled and read up on so many forums and brown spotting seems fairly common in early pregnancy especially after DTD so im thinking that i should be ok...fingers crossed.

LH1981 · 21/01/2014 16:23

Aw, sorry lots of you have this extra worry. Thinking of you.

My body is falling apart and I'm only 5 weeks!! Got what I think is an infected gum (dentist appt booked), so I can only eat on the right side of my mouth and seriously slowing down my food wolfing ability

And now, one of my eyelids is really sore by the eyelashes. Praying it's not a sty or whatever - never had one so don't know what they are really, or how to treat it.

So glamorous, this pregnancy lark!
xx

PossumBottom · 21/01/2014 17:15

Good luck to everyone with worrying symptoms. Warm hugs and positive thoughts.

I too had slightly discoloured discharge today. Tinged pink, but hardly noticeable unless you're looking out for it iyswim. No panic yet and hoping it's cervical erosion due to being a tad constipated.

This pregnancy business is very anxiety-inducing!

sebsmummy1 · 21/01/2014 17:28

Girls, did anyone who had no previous experience of mmc but had early bleeding get referred by their doctor for an early scan?

My appointment is early tomorrow morn and I'm not sure whether I should ask if it's possible or just let him tell me it's very common and not to worry which i suspect is what he will say.

isitme1 · 21/01/2014 17:49

Had the appointment today anf my God I was a bag of nerves :(
my bmi has really risen this time round which is now another worry on top of the pph and severe anaemia.

Ah fuck.

I have scan next week and see consultant.

They are thinking of starting me on the tanzaparin injections I think.

Will update more soon

LH1981 · 21/01/2014 18:17

sebsmummy if you're really worried I'm sure you can go to your A&E department or EPU and they'll scan you. If the GP fobs you off, you can insist. I think the doc will be right though in saying it is normal to have some bleeding in pregnancy so s/he may not refer you, plus if you're earlier than 6ish weeks they won't be able to detect a heart-beat or give you any reassurances, so it might be more of a worry. But if it will put your mind at ease you should insist.

isitme, that sounds pants! Poor you! Hugs xx

sebsmummy1 · 21/01/2014 18:24

Thanks LH. I just wanted to know whether I should be pushing or should just sit it out. I don't really want to self refer early to be told they can't see anything as I think that will stress me out more.

sittingpretty25 · 21/01/2014 18:28

This will sound odd - but is anyone else getting odd sharp pains down there? Been getting them all say today - not felt good all day so been resting - just feel generally unwell... Darn google. It makes everything worse.

LH1981 · 21/01/2014 18:34

sittingpretty yep, I get those. Got them in my last two pregnancies too.

I can't decide what to have for dinner.

  1. Take-away curry. I'm on my own for two weeks while dh is away with work, so I can get away with a little indulgence
  2. Baked potato - can't remember which of you ladies is to blame for that one
  3. Pea and ham soup with crusty roll

I want them all and have lost the ability to make rational food-based decisions. HELP x

tiredallthetime123 · 21/01/2014 18:36

Girls I think I'm going a bit mental. All my symptoms have gone but I've had no bleeding or anything but even though I just think the baba has gone but I've not started to bleed yet. I've basically convinced myself. So much so I haven't looked on here since before the weekend and was looking for a summer dress on ASOS last night in a size 14 fir a wedding in July. DH keeps laughing and saying I'm in denial- is that even possibly????? I feel like a nutcase!!!!!!

LH1981 · 21/01/2014 18:45

tired could you get yourself to the EPU to get checked out? Hopefully that will reassure you. Just checked your stats, and you're about 8 weeks? So in that case they will pick up a heartbeat and be able to see what's what.

I think we all go through stages of 'omg, something's wrong', so it's quite normal but if you really sense that all is not well, best go get checked. Lots of luck and positive thoughts xx

cavamonster · 21/01/2014 18:58

SittingPretty, yes I get them too but then again I have had quite a few pains and twinges all over so i feel i could probably say yes to whatever anyone asked!

Lh, pea and ham soup - I don't actually like it but now I'm thinking that's what I fancy?!

I have a lovely box of fresh meat and veg delivered today to make new recipes with and now all I want is soup or a toastie...was thinking i should not to look at this thread around eating times but that is currently permanently!

lucidlady · 21/01/2014 19:03

Hi ladies so sorry to hear some of you are experiencing spotting. It's definitely worth asking for scan. If you tell the doc you have spotting then if you also have pain/cramp you are likely to be referred for a scan as they will want to rule out ectopic. I had spotting with my DD and they referred me for a scan for that very reason.

It's not an automatic indicator that you are having a MC. It is perfectly possible to have unexplained bleeding even if it is bright red, as I had this weekend. When they scanned me on Monday they couldn't see any blood in my uterus so they didn't have any concerns.

If they do scan you and they can't see a heartbeat it is not automatically bad news - heartbeats can't typically be seen til 7 weeks approx, so they will be looking for a fetal pole and a sac in order to check the pregnancy is in the right place. They'll then probably ask you to come back in a fortnight or so in order to scan for heartbeat.

I don't think you ever fully relax in pregnancy or parenthood - I worried until the day DD was born. Then I started worrying about the rest of her life!!!
