Whiteblossom She is brilliant. Its a shame we only see her a few times a year.

twosa I want to shout it off the roof tops. Its so hard keeping it a secret!
I nearly moaned on facebook about being a pin cushion (MW took two goes at getting blood out of me today), but then thought I better hadn't in case people started questioning why I was getting bloods taken!. Its the little things that I have to prevent slipping through the net!

broodylicious · 31/01/2014 21:09

topmammy you're not alone in the piggy stakes. I find the only way to stop nausea is to eat and when I'm not really nauseous, I'm starving hungry so unfortunately I'm chomping away a fair bit!

Kittyrose1 · 31/01/2014 21:49

Broody and topmammy I'm scoffing too! I honestly have never felt so hungry in my life, cannot stop eating and feel
Hungry all the time!
When are you suppose to have a booking appt then? I've not had anything from the mws yet but have had a letter with a dating scan??

Carly6971 · 31/01/2014 23:19

Glad I am not the only one blubbering over the slightest thing :) it's either that or flying off the handle...feel sorry for DH lol!

I had my booking appt and early scan all in the same week I found out I was pregnant! But she said it was because they were very busy so no waiting until 9 weeks here (berkshire). She was a bit scatty actually coz kept waving an exemption form around and emphasising how today was just form filling and getting this exemption form, get home n there is no exemption form in my pack lol. I guess the scan date will just come at some point and will end up with 2 close together as have a private one at 11wks (15th February).

I am also constantly starving which is worrying after eating a main meal, would be ok if I was a skinny but already really worried about piling on extra pounds as I can't afford to :(

rockin20s · 31/01/2014 23:25

So I was ready to fall asleep at my desk today yet now I'm wide awake. I just can't win

My boobs have hurt on and off the last few weeks. Its my main symptom. Tonight they are sore last night they weren't, try not to worry

OP posts:
xxmissbrightsidexx · 01/02/2014 01:22

Don't worry Hippy symptoms tend to disappear and then come back with avengance xx

broodylicious · 01/02/2014 06:57

jess totally normal for symptoms to go. I saw the mw yesterday and mentioned I'd had quite a lot of pain in one side last week and she was so blase, just said that it's the joys of growing a baby! It's so worrying isn't it? Xx

bugoven · 01/02/2014 07:17

Morning everyone! 9wks today (although midwife insists I'm 10)
jess please don't worry aboit symptoms coming and going. Mine have done just that from boobs feeling deflated to suddenly feeling I could eat whatever I like to having boosts of energy, they all made me panic. However, I had a private scan yesterday and all is ok. Saw a little baby/teddy with beautiful wriggly arms and legs and a good steong heart beat. It cost me £65 (a lot of money to us) and has given me the best piece of mind, which ultimately is good for baby. I reckon ot must be a little toughie.... it's already made it through it's first Ofsted!!!!!

weebairn · 01/02/2014 08:28

Hello
6 weeks today which feels like a good point to get to :)
Feeling very sick most of the time. No sore boobs though, and they haven't grown which is great! That was my main problem last time. Maybe it's because I'm still breastfeeding??

First scan feels an age away, but trying to just enjoy every special secret day, growing my little wolf cub.

cookielove · 01/02/2014 08:29

Sorry just wondering if Sebs posted about her scan, hoping all is okay.

weebairn · 01/02/2014 08:29

HippyJess last time I was pregnant, all my symptoms disappeared around 10/11 weeks and I was so scared. But at the 12 week scan everything was perfect :)

BexBoo12 · 01/02/2014 08:35

Morning allSmile

Rockin, it's scan day for you isn't it? Good luck hun and let us know how it goes xx

Weebairn I'm so glad you got lots of reassurance from your scan. It's an amazing feeling and although my next one is only 3 and a half weeks away I'm contemplating booking a private one soon!! X

Jess, as the girls said it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go, in fact you should enjoy it! Because I was exactly like you worrying about lack of symptoms, then bam, a week ago night nausea kicked in. No sickness which I actually think would make me feel better if I was actually sick!! Make the most of it and enjoy it xx

HippyJess · 01/02/2014 08:36

Thanks everyone Thanks. This morning they're a bit itchy and slightly tender, nothing like they were but I'm trying hard to stop worrying!

BexBoo12 · 01/02/2014 08:36

Oops I'm so sorry, it wasn't Weebairn that had scan, it was bugoven. Sorry hun xx

BexBoo12 · 01/02/2014 08:37

Hey cookie, sebs got some positive news from her scan, so for now, things are looking good xx

weebairn · 01/02/2014 08:39

Yes mine is still miles off! I think an early scan would actually stress me out rather than reassure me… and it's not like it would change anything. Just trying to be patient and calm and grow my little baby. :)

BexBoo12 · 01/02/2014 09:03

Sorry hun I'd read so many peoples posts I got muddled with names Sad x

broodylicious · 01/02/2014 09:33

weebairn I'm still breastfeeding dd (22m) and my boobs haven't changed either. Are you intending to tandem feed when new bubba is here? X

topmammy · 01/02/2014 09:38

Yeah don't worry HippyJess My boobs stopped feeling sore a few weeks ago so much so that I stopped wearing my sleep bra but they're sore again now so it just comes and goes.

So much housework that needs doing today but I'm still stuck on the sofa lol.

weebairn · 01/02/2014 10:08

It's no problem at all Bexboo! So many people on here.

broodylicious I haven't decided - I am just going to take it week by week and if we're both still happy, carry on! But if it gets too painful or she loses interest I will probably stop. She is 16 months, but she only feeds morning and bedtime now. Ideally I would like to get to 2 years (which is new baby's due date!) but I am just going to take it a step at a time. Tandem feeding sounds pretty crazy - haven't ruled it out though! Had horrible engorgement last time and sooo much milk, it would be great to have an emergency toddler-sized boob-drainer on hand Grin Grin
How about you?

BexBoo12 · 01/02/2014 10:21

Wow I take my hat off to those of you planning to feed your DC and new baby at the same time, I would love to bf baby, but I also know how tricky it can be. DH of course wants me to bf for all the clear benefits it has, but says he may feel left out of feeding and bonding with baby etc, did anyone express so hubby can share feeds?

xxmissbrightsidexx · 01/02/2014 11:18

I was bf my youngest, he's 2 in march, but over the last week or two he hasn't had a feed at all, feel a bit sad but I wouldn't have it in me to feed a toddler and newborn together, I do feel a bit glad that for now although theyre sore my boobs are my own lol xx

whiteblossom · 01/02/2014 11:44

I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, yesterday, full on meals Ive not managed that in nearly four weeks!! So I suppose the scoffing begins Grin

My boobs def' less sensitive this morning and my ms has hugely eased and Im a bit more up and about but there is always the thought lingering at the back of my mind, what if..? So stressful.

Am I the only one that won't be BF?

Roll on 12 week scan.
