Oh LH I have loads of trump stories from my class unfortunately lol. I do struggle not to laugh myself as I don't want to encourage them but my class this year are really very windy! Don't know what their parents are feeding them haha. One little girl let out a huuuge trump yesterday right at a pivotal moment in a game that involves being silent! I was shocked that such a little girl could produce such a noise. Ha! Anyway I'll stop lowering the tone now.... Blush hehe

broodylicious · 23/01/2014 21:53

Lol at sbd discussion Grin I can't believe that our dd is so gorgeous (biased mummy of course!) yet lets out the most god awful stinks with loud trumping. She finds it very funny too!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 23/01/2014 22:02

bex you should see a bean on screen with heartbeat flickering away :) x

sebsmummy1 · 23/01/2014 22:09

I think I had my early scan at 9 weeks last time and I saw a little bean with buds Grin

BexBoo12 · 23/01/2014 22:18

Eeek!! Fingers crossed for that flickering heartbeat xx

Firstimemum3 · 23/01/2014 22:53

mummyinpink glad we're not the only ones talking about names :) We both agree on girls names but never on boys, which is annoying. My grandad though calls every man/boy Charlie and when I see him he strokes my belly and says hello Charlie. So he's already decided lol.

Jemma2907 · 24/01/2014 07:24

Bexboo, I had a scan yesterday and was dated at 7w4d (I think this must mean we have the same EDD??). I thought I could see a little baby shaped splodge but not sure if I'm just imagining it. I was amazed at how much it had grown from my scan 2 weeks previously... 2mm to 14mm!! Amazing! We saw a flickering too and was told it was a good strong one, apparently there is only a problem if it is under 90bpm. I'm sure your scan will be fine x

cookielove · 24/01/2014 08:03

Ooh it's so exciting i think i will try and get a early scan for bout 8 weeks!

KatharineClover · 24/01/2014 08:14

Hi ladies! Please can I join? It's great to meet you all :)
I think I'm 6wk+4d and EDD is 15th Sept. (Pregnancy no 2, 3rd cycle)
I also have a DS who is almost 3.
I've been feeling so sick and tired that both my MIL (who looks after DS the days when I work) and my parents guessed already. Finding it a lot harder to cope with morning sickness with a toddler in tow, as I have to get up and keep going for him. I've told my boss, but want to keep it quiet from everyone else a bit longer, but it's really hard when they are concerned and keep telling you that you look really green!
I had SPD badly with my first pregnancy, and quite early on too, so I'm dreading it coming back. I'm seeing my midwife next week which I'm looking forward to.

sebsmummy1 · 24/01/2014 08:14

God this early time is really dragging lol. I'm 5+1 and have nothing to report at all!! Grin

ksrwr · 24/01/2014 09:00

Hi Sebsmummy, i'm one day behind you... i just have this dull full feeling in my abdomen, so sickness or anything.

tiredallthetime123 · 24/01/2014 09:01

Morning girls. Going for an early scan today at 5pm. I am 8 weeks and 4 days sio they will be looking for a blob with a heartbeat I guess. Still absolutely convinced something is wrong as my boobs aren't sore, no cramping, sickness has virtually gone and I'm not tired any more so even though i am not bleeding and never have done i just don't feel preggers... I am really nervous about it because apparently they are going to put the jelly on my tum and then the scan picture itself will be on a massive big flatscreen telly on the wall- I really don't want this though as I am scared it will just be a big 52 inch empty space shouting "YOUR BABY HAS GONE" and it will make me cry :-( Do you think I can ask them to just keep it on the little machine until we know definitively? Oh ladies, I am so nervous and wound up about it and I have a big crappy meeting at work in about 15 minutes and I haven't prepped for it all :-(

isitme1 · 24/01/2014 09:02

Welcome Catherine!

I had bad spd with both but the towardsthe end it wasn't so bad Hmm

Ds1 is a lil poorly again.
He has a feeding tube in his stomach and hes bleeding internally and losing some greenish stuff? Making me think he has an infection inside and thats why his tummy hurts.

Not slept much as ds2 think its a good idea to take dummy out at night and then scream! (This is night 5)

isitme1 · 24/01/2014 09:04

Tired im in pretty much the same boat around same gestation too I think.
Thats what im scared of when I go to my scan next week :(

fx everything is ok for you and your symptoms come back with a bang! :)

ThisIsMeNow · 24/01/2014 09:10

Oh god, the sickness has started...

sebsmummy1 · 24/01/2014 09:18

Tiredallthetime, I am absolutely sure you can ask that and from memory I think they do that anyway. I'm sure mine only went up on the big screen when she had finished doing some bits and bobs on the small screen.

ksrwr · 24/01/2014 09:25

tiredallthetime, they wont show you the screen till they've had a quick check that everything is fine, dont worry

rockin20s · 24/01/2014 09:45

i have managed to reduce my testing to once a week, did a test this morning and my line came up so quickly!! very reassuring.

I'm 6w1d today, still haven't slept through the night yet, i keep waking up to pee and cant get back to sleep, hopefully i can have a nice long lie in tomorrow morning

tiredallthetime123 · 24/01/2014 09:48

Thanks girls. Feel a bit better knowing that. MN is so nice, like having a hundred big sisters to call on :-) Also, will they do the jelly on the tummy or will they put a thingy inside me? I don't want anyone fishing around inside me :-/ Sorry to ask such a grim question!! And does it matter that I am a bit of a porker? Like, will they be able to even see baba if it is there through the holiday + christmas + new year cake-fest that is my wobbly tum???? I suppose if I am not preggers i can drown my sorrows in red wine this evening.

sittingpretty25 · 24/01/2014 10:02

Think positive tired - you will prob find everything will be okay and you are just one of the lucky ones who get away with no symptoms!

Nausea not so bad for me today - although my toothbrush has become my new enemy as brushing my teeth makes me gag!! Also...just noticed I have a fairly pronounced dark line from my belly button down - I know this is normal but should I have it this early on?? I'm 7+1 (I think!!) I'm tKing it as a super good sign things are ok! Anyone else get it this early?? Xx

rockin20s · 24/01/2014 10:07

sittingpretty wow you have a Linea Nigra already, i just looked it up and apparently is is caused by the hormones. i always thought it was to do with your tummy stretching

goes to loo to check tummy for line

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 24/01/2014 10:11

I never got a Linea Nigra and actually noone in my antenatal class did either! I also thought it was to do with tummy muscles.

cookielove · 24/01/2014 10:14

Sitting i use children's toothpaste helps me to stop gagging!

When I had my scan it went on the big screen first when it was clear there was something wrong they turned it off and when I came back after emptying my bladder the screen was off and they were looking at the monitor. So tired I would definitely mention it to them before you are scanned.

Have you been told to drink 2 pints tired

sittingpretty25 · 24/01/2014 10:21

Iv googled it and it's hormones but not meant to show until four months which is when you start showing...really hoping iv not all my dates wrong!! (There is some confusion as since I came of the pill in August iv only had very light periods and december 'period' was three days late and even lighter...if that's when I got gp then that puts me at about 11 weeks...) not sure what to do really?? Lol.

sittingpretty25 · 24/01/2014 10:22

Cookie - it's not the paste, mints are my fav - but it's the actual toothbrush head - when I clean the back of my teeth. I could maybe get a kids small toothbrush! Haha.
