I get slight sharp pains if I move quickly sometimes. Also feeling tired and belly making funny noises and things all day. We will definitely find out the sex, we've always wanted to. We've even narrowed a few names down, bit early but it's just so exciting!

Mummyinpink1289 · 23/01/2014 16:25

so have we Firsttimemum Grin we have way more girls names than boys, i find boys names so hard is it just me? I have one boy and one girl so i really dont mind what this little buba is although its my DH's first and he really wants a boy to 'carry on the name...' i think by the time the 20 week scan arrives i probably will have persuaded myself to find out the sex as i know DH wants to and its his first so il probably give in by then..

So excited to find out my official due date, thats when the whole count down begins. Smile

Mummyinpink1289 · 23/01/2014 16:26

really craving water the last 2 days which i found weird..of all things, water - really? not complaining, last 2 pregnancies it was trebor soft mints. went through about 3 or 4 packs every day in the latter months!

rockin20s · 23/01/2014 16:57

i have been calling it little guy as i think its going to be a boy, DH thinks it will be a girl. He doesnt want o find out the sex but i do, mainly for practical reasons buying some clothes other than white white white..

but really i dont mind if we dont find out. i have a nice list of girl names and will probably call it Rosemary after my mom (Mary) but as for a boy I have a few names alright but DH doesnt like any of them....yet wont come up with any himself. if i push him he sarcastically says we will call it 'BillyBob the Baby'

xxmiss my nausea is pretty much all day too. Seems to be getting worse now when I eat, which is bad, cos if I don't eat it also gets worse... can't win!

BexBoo12 · 23/01/2014 17:14

Can I ask if anyone else's hormones are turning them into a blubbering wreck? Seriously, on Monday, DH had to pause corrie because I was literally wailing all the way through it uncontrollably. And I've just sat down to watch the NTA awards from last night, first award went to 'for the love of dogs' by Paul O'Grady, well it showed a clip of one of the dogs and I'm off again. God help me x

LH1981 · 23/01/2014 17:34

I need someone to virtually hold my hand and/or give me a slap.

Am hiding from my two boys in the pantry in tears. My dh is away for two weeks. He's been gone a week and it has been the shittest week so far. Locked myself out, in the pouring rain for two hours before my neighbour came home who has our spare key (thank god), then a man got stabbed practically outside my house, police everywhere etc etc, then our lights keep randomly tripping every half hour or so and the engineer was here 3 times today and it didn't do it so he couldn't fix it and its still happening. Now just gone to out kids tea on and the oven's not working.

Have a group of girlfriends over for dinner tomorrow and have planned a lovely lamb dinner (and bought the lamb) and now no oven.

Sobbing. Cannot cope today!!

broodylicious · 23/01/2014 17:35

Haha bex I'm exactly the same. That Hayley Cropper has a lot to answer for ;) Wasn't she fab though, honestly? Amazing acting.

BexBoo12 · 23/01/2014 17:48

LH I will hold your hand Smile xxx

BexBoo12 · 23/01/2014 17:49

Yes broody, amazing acting!! I literally could not control my sobs. Damn hormones!!

broodylicious · 23/01/2014 17:59

Just caught on the thread..

Cars - we are looking at changing mine too. I'm of the same thinking that it's a reflection of me (however vain I know that sounds!) so definitely don't want to go for a people carrier unless we have to - ie twins. I'm a car addict I think, as I've changed my car 10 times in 12 years! My requirements are slightly different now (isofix, pushchair sized boot) but it still has to have a little poke about it and look decent-ish.

Finding out the sex - not for us! Team Yellow all the way. We loved the surprise when dd popped out and dh telling me, rather than a midwife or sonographer who we'd never met before and never will again. We were so surprised as I'd convinced us both she was a boy, despite the nub theory saying otherwise (only google that if you want to know how to look for the sex of your bubba on your 12 week scan pic). As for being prepared in terms of clothing - yeah, I get that but don't worry about it too much because honestly, everyone you know will buy you gender specific babygros, vests, shoes, muslin cloths etc when they hear your birth news. DD has 0-3m and 3-6m clothes in the loft she never even wore because people bought us so much!

LH1981 · 23/01/2014 18:14

Thanks Bex! DH does away all the time for work and I'm normally a strong independent woman until anything remotely technical goes wrong but with these damn hormones, I'm reduced to a blubbering wreck!

BUT, I have been saved!! My trusty Irish rogue of a builder phoned me back and told me that the oven will not work if the clock isn't set. Because of the power going out all the time, I've left the clock just flashing. Anyway, just set it and voila!!

WishUponAStar88 · 23/01/2014 18:57

Glad the oven's working LH! Sounds horrible outside your house at the moment, hope all calms down soon!

whiteblossom · 23/01/2014 19:03

Oh LH the hormones are like a roller coaster that said you have had a tough week! glad you got your oven working, we oftan have a blown fuse so I know how to solve these things myself these days Grin Im quite handy with a flash light and a circuit board.

yes I too blubbed at coronation st, yes morning sickness all day, I might change car in june but will look into that nearer the time. sharp pain if I get off sofa too quick.

I am now too looking out for the October board Smile

TwosaCrowd · 23/01/2014 19:04

7 weeks today! No nausea at all, but then I didn't with DS.

Metalhead · 23/01/2014 19:33

Me too I think Twosa! Smile

Metalhead · 23/01/2014 19:34

(7 weeks that is - envying you the no nausea...)

broodylicious · 23/01/2014 19:36

I'll be seven weeks tomorrow, no nausea here either .... just worry about no nausea Wink

xxmissbrightsidexx · 23/01/2014 20:16

It's awful ain't it metal can't stand feeling like this, keep doing 'sickups' too, nasty.

Midwife tomorrow yayayay finally, it's dragged sooo badly since I phoned on the 13th to make the appointment!

hope you're all okayxx

marie1w · 23/01/2014 20:17

8 weeks yesterday and I have felt sick all day, everyday 4 a week. Just read it doesn't peak until about 10 weeks! Uuuhhhh Confused

Sicky88 · 23/01/2014 21:02

Hi

I'm 5 weeks and already feeling sick. :(

BexBoo12 · 23/01/2014 21:06

I'm 7+4 today and although I'm not sick, at night I do get waves of nausea - I can't bear weight on my tummy, and the only way I can lie down is if I turn on my side, and prop a pillow under my side so my tummy isn't flopping on to the bed, so it's kind of supported? Do you know what I mean? Anyone had this weird feeling?

topmammy · 23/01/2014 21:16

LH glad you got your oven working! I would've had a proper good cry and probably stamped my feet like a kid if all that had happened to me! Hehe.

I am 9 weeks today. Mw appt on Sat! Feeling nervous and increasingly paranoid that I've imagined the whole pregnancy! Boobs still sore though. I keep having a squeeze of them to make sure lol.

Not feeling as nauseous as I was a week or so ago. Although one of the little darlings in my class did a silent but deadly trump which I had the misfortune to breathe in today and I seriously thought I was going to hurl. I usually have a stronger stomach than that, occupational hazard n all!

BexBoo12 · 23/01/2014 21:20

I've got my scan on Wednesday, which if I've got my dates right I should be 8+3- what should I see? Anyone that's already had a scan around that time, or anyone had one from previous pregnancies? Will it still be a blob? Or will there be an almost human type shape to it yet? Will I see a heartbeat? Thanks in advance xx

LH1981 · 23/01/2014 21:22

Thanks topmammy, have pulled myself together and am feeling a lot better. Amazing what a few hours (and a working oven) can do for the spirits!

And you've just made me giggle (I'm so mature!) at your trump story teehee! Reminds me of my youngest boy - he's a terror at dropping those sbd's! X
