Morning (or afternoon in 10 minutes!) Grin

re the car situation, my DH has a van which only has 2 seats so my car is the 'family' car and i cant let DS1 sit in the front really as where would DH go at weekends?! he barely squishes inbetween the 2 car seats already in the back now if we ever take my mum anywhere so i cant see how i will possibly fit a huge baby seat and isofix base in there. I am totally refusing to buy a 'soccor mom' car that seats about 7 children in as my car is (to me) a reflection of me and i really dont see myself in one of those....sorry if anyone has one of these but its just not for me, i want something thats not huge and just a little wider than my astra so it will comfortably seat 3 car seats in a row. Just praying when i test it out that by some mirical i can fit them in my astra although im not holding my hopes up.

Me and DH have different ideas of finding out the sex - he wants to so he can decorate babies room, i dont because i found out second time around and although i was over the moon as i really wanted a girl it kinda took a bit of the excitement off the birth as we already knew. I dont think he will push if i stick my ground but im sure we will have a heated debate about it around the 20 weeks scan time!

midwife called yesterday and i missed the call as i was working, now i have to wait around for her to call me back as the app time was on a day i work and i dont want to raise any suspicion by taking time out of work to go to see the midwife. almost 4 weeks to go until my scan Grin

Im growing out of my jeans too, ever since i found out i was pregnant iv been massively bloated, my jeans just feel like theyr digging into my pelvic area and i often end up unbuttoning them when i sit down. I even bought some maternity jeans from ASOS last week but theyr just too lose atm and i have to keep pulling them up all the time so im kinda in limbo atm!

LH1981 · 23/01/2014 12:08

Hmm, pregnancy symptoms eased off a lot today. Nausea practically gone. Hope that's not a bad sign!

Mummyinpink1289 · 23/01/2014 12:20

i wouldnt worry LH, they can come and go and its not a sign of anything bad. Just enjoy the break Grin

bugoven · 23/01/2014 12:23

Hello everyone! LH symptoms will come and go and that is normal according to all I have read. I was worried a couple of days ago as I seemed less nauseous and tired but yesterday evening I was so sick I couldn't eat or drink and have stayed home from work today.

I have a very obvious little bump now maybe a poo baby due to constipation.. Just braved weighing myself expecting to see a massive gain and I have lost just over a pound since last week.

white my midwife appointment is also next Wed. Seems impossibly far away when I booked it and now it's just a few days away. Actually starting to let myself believe this might be happening!

Might be brave and try to eat something again now!

waybuloony · 23/01/2014 12:25

Feeling much better today. Thanks for all your support gals!
Just had an impromptu coffee with a good friend and spilled the beans on being pregnant, she's got a 4 month old, and it was so nice to be able to talk about it for once.
I no longer feel like a festering ball of hormones...well for today anyway.
Still feel queasy though....ginger nut anyone Biscuit...ewww just the thought makes my stomach turn.

Mummyinpink1289 · 23/01/2014 12:32

Pot noodle for me Grin

isitme1 · 23/01/2014 12:34

Mummy my mum has an astra and a many times we have fit 3 car seats in the back. 2 of the 1+s and 1 baby car seat. Its a squeeze but doable.
I have a civic type s which will also be a squeeze if it's just the 1. If it's 2 will have to get a new car lol.
I totally get what you mean. Your car is yours.

I also have a tiny bump.on top of my beer belly lol Im sure I felt something move last night! ! I don't have proper dates until scan as I could be a month or so further along. ...x

cavamonster · 23/01/2014 12:38

Thanks for the tips suromummy, maybe a silly question is dried ginger same as ground?

Had to come home from work today, just felt to awful. I was actually sick last night which was different from just the nausea!

I have loads of weird pains today (6wks5), trying just to ignore them and focus on what food I'm going to eat. I have a scan on Tuesday so will hopefully get reassurance then. I had no clue pregnancy was this stressful!

bugoven · 23/01/2014 12:42

Glad you've perked up way. I know what you mean about ginger nuts. I feel the same every time someone suggests I eat a cracker!

Is anyone else looking at the anti-natal clubs list waiting for October 2014 to appear? I think when I see that I will feel so much further along and not so much of a nuby!

CordeliaScott · 23/01/2014 12:44

Okay, I'm a little nervous now.

I saw the midwife this morning for my first appointment and she told me I'm a high risk pregnancy due to having LLETZ and a biopsy for severely abnormal cervical cells about a year ago. She says I need to talk to a consultant about it and wasn't the most helpful by way of answers.

When I had the treatment the nurse said I should be fine to have children (this will be my first) I just might be slightly premature as the cervix is thinner. Has anyone else had this?

sebsmummy1 · 23/01/2014 12:50

I had a procedure done for abnormal cells before my first pregnancy and no one ever mentioned anything about it. Although the abnormal cells weren't severe I think he cut them out, they do that instead of cauterise now to ensure they get a good proportion of clear cells all the way round. If that's called a LLETZ then I've had it done and had a perfectly healthy pregnancy that went full term.

CordeliaScott · 23/01/2014 12:53

Thanks sebsmummy I'm more than a little paranoid about everything right now. I don't think I'm actually going to relax until I have the scan and see that everything is fine... and possibly not even then...

LH1981 · 23/01/2014 12:53

Thanks Ladies, it's weird to want the nausea lol!!

I have a bump too. Def not a 'poo-bump' (hehe bugoven), as not having trouble in that dept, actually the reverse if anything. But definitely bloated and poochy.

I still can't face ginger nuts since my first pregnancy 7 years ago! Used to love them before that.

Cordelia I'd just listen to the professional advise and see what's what before getting too stressed. They might just want to monitor you more closely which is a good thing.
xx

rockin20s · 23/01/2014 13:03

my left boob is killing me! just in one spot, the bra I'm wearing is just too small so i think i will have to go up a size, might buy a sleep bra too.

bought too Ina May books yesterday, one on birth and one on breastfeeding.

tried to book a early scan privately and the only place in my area thats open on a Satuday is booked out till Feb 8th, that's way to far away!!!! I've been put on the feb 1st cancellation list. fingers crossed

my friend went to the EPU last night as she was having pain but all is OK, had a scan and saw a little heart beat! YAY

cookielove · 23/01/2014 14:29

I'm 5 weeks today, gonna call the Dr next week to mention that I am pregnant and get the ball rolling. Also had a letter through from the genetic counselling so getting somewhere with that to :)

xxmissbrightsidexx · 23/01/2014 14:34

Anyone else's sickness/nausea lasting literally all day? Mine is, from the moment I wake up, til I go to bed xx also my left boob is a lot bigger than my right, what's all that about lol xx
These pains on my left side are really bad :(

ThisIsMeNow · 23/01/2014 14:37

Cordelia, I had a LLETZ treatment about 9 months ago and a biopsy about 1-2 days before I conceived Blush so I'm interested to hear what the midwife says.
From what I've read the risk is only higher if you've had 2 LLETZ but we'll see.
I'm not sure if I'm more worried about cervix incompetence or failure to dilate!

ThisIsMeNow · 23/01/2014 14:40

Miss bright, mines all day. Comes an goes with regards to how bad but it's there constantly.
Dd woke me at 4 this morning and it was there then. Must be a 24hr thing.

My boobs are ridiculous. I'm still bf dd but only from one side and that boob is ginormous! It's been quite engorged too. I'm hoping dd will self wean over this pregnancy but it's killing me feeding her. Awful pain.

sebsmummy1 · 23/01/2014 15:03

Nope, no symptoms here.

rockin20s · 23/01/2014 15:11

thisismenow can i ask why you are only feeding from one boob? just curious

Mummyinpink1289 · 23/01/2014 15:16

round ligament pain is my worst symptom - everytime i sneeze now i have a cold at work i have to hide the pain from in my pelvic area. wish it would go away. Never started this early in previous pregnancies. anyone else getting it? like a sharp pain everytime you sneeze/cough/laugh/get up to quickly.

Mummyinpink1289 · 23/01/2014 15:17

im also trying not to cound the weeks as last time i did that i got to my scan date thinking i was 14weeks when they actually told me i was only 12. i was devestated. had to relive them 2 weeks all over again! lol

LH1981 · 23/01/2014 15:19

mummy, yep me too. It hurts like hell if I sneeze, cough or get up too fast. My third pregnancy and I don't remember it being this bad so early on either.

kirstycrinson · 23/01/2014 16:04

My EDD is august 28th. yaaaaay

ThisIsMeNow · 23/01/2014 16:04

Rockin, as much as I can remember I had a milk blister on one boob and ended up pumping from that side and feeding from the other and when it healed, dd just prefered to stay on one side. She's 20mo now and I bet we've been feeding like this for maybe 10/11 months?! Sounds crazy when I write it down!
