Pink I've done a similar thing with ginger and spring onion - its a cure of Sal's for a cold.

mornin all....sorry, not been posting anything for ages but 4 weeks ago developed pre eclampsia and after going for my normal AN appt was incarcerated in hospital....since then i have been at large (in more ways than one, ankles toes and now i notice LIPS!) but having BP, proteins etc monitored 4x a week, spose I just been feeling pretty scared but believe me i have been clocking in and keeping my proverbial eye on you all. Cutting to the chase will be going into hospital this morning for ..well...we'll see. Will it be straightforward induction, a long drawn out job with loads of messing about with my bits or a section? Whatever ladies, my big august bundle of joy will be arriving under the guise of a july baby. Can I still be in your gang please. I'll bring you up to date on my release. Take care everyone, lots of love and luck to you all. (trying to be brave but really brickin em!!!)

YellowFeathers · 28/07/2006 07:24

Was the last thread that big?
We're proper girlies aren't we
(You can be one too Sal if you want!)

Gosh bumble! Well all the best to you sweetheart. Perfectly normal for you to be craping yourself! I think we all do regardless of birthing circumstances.
I wish you all the best and can't wait for another announcement

Just to let you all know, I've been having BH's/contractions all night. They've been that strong they've woke me up but I'm not getting excited as it sooooo could be a false alarm. One thing I do know is that although they are not regular, they aren't going away! (Please god be it, please please please!)

See thats me not getting excited
Dh has gone to work anyway as he's only 5 mins away so I'll stick around with my pals today. Please keep me amused!

Dreamy, we've just ordered a new washing machine. Matches the fantastic dishwasher we got. Don't think we could cope if the one we had completly conked out on us. Not great when you have kids is it?!!

Booby, I'd love to be able to knit. Something to get stuck in to. Did you teach yourself or is it a skill you've been taught over the years?
Also immensley pleased about your MW. Its brilliant that you have her full backing and support.

Oh and not only am I getting these "regular tightnings" but I got cramp in my right calf 3 times last night so my leg is agony today. Can't walk on it properly! I've got to go and walk the dog as well this morning!

dreamydowler · 28/07/2006 07:26

good morning sorry noone was around for you earlier bumble I really hope today goes well for you will be thinking of you all day good luck xx

dreamydowler · 28/07/2006 07:38

morning yellow It sounds like you could be nearing the end too how exciting. Ive seriously got to go looking at new hoovers today as ours has died. Ive had my washing machine for years and it still works but Im really hoping to get a larger capacity one mine holds 5kg I think but I have seen some that can hold 8kg Im sure it will ease the burden of constant washing for us if I get one but they are about £400 minimum so need to have a good look first. I have given up trying to sleep I dont know what is going on outside this morning but there seems to have been a group of people about making one hell of a comotion since about 6 this morning. My ds age 8 came in early hours too saying he felt sick and with the usual bathroom trips and needing a drink myself Im not sure I got any sleep at all last night dd will be in shortly reminding me its toddler group this morning and if she asks me to make cakes one more time I swear Im going to scream I have promised them we can cook over the weekend. Got to send a moneygram to my daughter in thailand today never sent one before has anyone else sent one? Im a bit nervous about it I hope she gets it ok.

dreamydowler · 28/07/2006 07:44

shes awake asking for the bouncy castle already little love where do they get their energy?

YellowFeathers · 28/07/2006 07:45

Busy day then?
Just so you know, we bought ours over the internet from Dixons, emailed them for a price match as dh had seen it cheaper elsewhere and he had some discount codes to use there so thought he'd give it a try.
In the end we've paid £290 for a £379 washer including delivery and for the other to be taken away.
Deffo have a look at the discount sites!

As for hoovers, can't recommend Dyson enough if you haven't already got one.

YellowFeathers · 28/07/2006 08:21

Have been pondering what to get dd as a pressie from baby too.
I bought her a pushchair on Tuesday but had to get it refunded because MIL has bought her one so I went back to my original plan of a Thomas Aquadraw (keep her busy for feeding periods).
Its normally £26 plus p&p.
Managed to get it from LX direct using a £10 off and free p&p code!
So have paid £16.99 for it!
Bargain.

dreamydowler · 28/07/2006 08:51

brilliant. Im thinking of getting her a dolls bath. Just been looking at the dysons I definitely think I will go for one of those well off to toddler group now have a good day

PinkTulips · 28/07/2006 09:01

Yellow, our babas might be sharing a birthday been having contractions since bout 6am, still wide enough apart that i'm not panicing but definitely contractions and definitely not easing now i'm out of bed and moving.

dd is being sooo sweet, she keeps hugging and kissing me and the bump during contractions

i'm off to have a nice hot shower now and see if that affects things.

bumble, i've probably missed you by now but good luck sweetie, i'm sure everything will be fine and i'll have my fingers crossed for the nice quick induction.

YellowFeathers · 28/07/2006 09:03

Woohoooo Pinky!

Mine are still coming but not regular.
I'll race ya......

YellowFeathers · 28/07/2006 09:14

I knew there was something else I wanted to mention.
What does everyone think to exchanging email addresses and maybe even numbers?

Thought it might be another nice way of keeping in touch.
