Oh mrsG sounds like a bit of an ordeal! What have you named her/how heavy?

congratulations

Naturegirl82 · 20/01/2014 20:51

Congratulations mrsg. Glad it was all worth it and you have a beautiful baby girl

Thanks for all the thoughts. Family are as ok as can be expected, glad in a way that it happened before my parents went away even though they won't be able to make it to the funeral. Waiting to hear (hopefully tomorrow) when the funeral will be, but don't know if I'll be able to go as 250miles away and if not had the baby by then dh wouldn't be able to come as can't take time off. Even if I've had the baby still got the uncertainty of whether she will need an op when she is born so just have to play it by ear a bit.

fryingpantoface · 20/01/2014 20:51

sunshine that sounds really tough

hugs x

fryingpantoface · 20/01/2014 20:55

So sorry for your loss nature

TobyLerone · 20/01/2014 21:25

Congratulations, MrsG!

Sorry about your grandad, nature :( I dread the day I lose mine. He's 85.

Hope you don't have too much longer to wait, sunshine.

We registered Meredith today. And we had what we thought would be our last midwife appointment, only they won't sign us off because Meredith's cord is still on. So apparently we need to try to soak it off, so she had her first bath tonight. We thought she'd hate it, given how much she's hated being topped and tailed so far, but she absolutely loved it!
Health visitor's coming tomorrow, meaning we have to get up earlier to hoover :o

TobyLerone · 20/01/2014 21:29

Oh, and I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight today. Sadly, pre-pregnancy weight is still a bit fat, but at least it means that all weight loss from now on is actual weight loss, IYSWIM :)

Frizz1986 · 20/01/2014 21:39

Congrats mrsg

No need to hoover toby They told us that as long as you can find the keys to open the door they don't care. They fully expect you in your pjs.

One of the girls on my nct has a poorly baby. Not sure whats wrong but she had her 2 weeks ago at 39 weeks and baby had to stay in as was on antibiotics. They were hoping to go home last weekend but shes just put on fb that baby is being transferred to alder hey as infection levels went up again. Shes been keeping people up to date on fb but not in detail. Feel so sorry for her as no indication of problems all pg.

MrsGSR · 20/01/2014 21:40

frying she was 7lb 15oz and 55cm long. DH choose the name Leah, and her middle names will be Susanne, after her nans, Susan and Anne, and Elizabeth which is a family name my sister and a load of others have as a middle name.

TobyLerone · 20/01/2014 21:42

Sadly, there's every need to hoover! Also, I plan on telling her that I have no intention of seeing her again unless I decide I need to. So I'd better look a bit together :o

I hope your friend's baby is ok. How worrying :(

MrsGSR · 20/01/2014 21:43

That's impressive toby, I think it'll be a while before I'm back to pre pregnancy weight, let alone my 'ideal' weight (I managed to put on quite a bit whilst ttc!)

Felix90 · 20/01/2014 21:57

Enormouse hope the funeral goes ok. Also sorry for your loss nature Sad

Congratulations band and mrsg!!!!

Toby that's impressive! I am still 2 stones heavier than I was to start off with and even then I was a massive heifer Hmm serious diet needed but I just really can't be arsed.

Visited my parents this weekend as my oldest sister was down from Scotland so took Sylvie to meet her! Stopped at my other sisters house and my two nieces (2 & 5) loved having a baby around. The older niece came in the room when I was feeding Sylvie and the conversation went - 'are you breastfeeding?' 'So you've got milk in your thingies? I call them thingies instead' 'so you drink milk then the milk goes in your thingies and then Sylvie drinks it?' I just agreed as I didn't know what to say haha! Grin

TobyLerone · 20/01/2014 22:09

I'm still a heifer. Just lost almost 2 stone since Meredith was born. Mostly baby and associated shiz, obv.

My 2yo nephew is fascinated by 'Memeniss' (as he calls her!) "eating boob" :o

Felix90 · 20/01/2014 22:23

Haha eating boob!!

Also forgot to ask - does anyone know how to get chicken korma colour baby poop stains out of baby grows? She did a massive happy explosion in the middle of the night (think right up the back jobby) and it went all over my favourite Joules baby grow Hmm it was about 3am so I just left it in a sink full of hot water but now I'm not sure how to wash it to get the stain out? It's horrific.

Felix90 · 20/01/2014 22:23

Nappy explosion not happy explosion!!!!!!!

TobyLerone · 20/01/2014 22:27

Is there anywhere you can hang it outside? Apparently sunshine is the best. Or you could always bleach it if it's all white.

Felix90 · 20/01/2014 22:31

It's white/pink floral so can't bleach. We live in a back to back terraced house so nowhere to hang Sad don't think we even get sunlight on this street!

AnotherStitchInTime · 20/01/2014 23:38

So sorry to hear about your grandad nature

Congratulations MrsG and band

Felix Vanish sensitive powder works well and is fine for colours. You can pre-wash soak it and then add some to the wash too.

Toby very impressive, I actually have no idea what I weighed before pregnancy so haven't bothered to weigh myself after.

enormouse I hope the funeral goes well tomorrow.

little it sounds like your baby will be with you soon, poor you with the pgp, must be agony :(

Felix90 · 21/01/2014 00:47

Thanks another! I think I may have some in the cupboard actually so will give it a try.

Frizz1986 · 21/01/2014 00:55

toby i am still 2 stone heavier. Don't think it helps that i am still stuffing my face (with all the xmas nibbles we didn't eat) but the mw told me to eat loads if breastfeeding. Apparently i wasn't eating enough to start with.

felix i alse have a poop stained outfit. Ours is because she decided to poop mid nappy change and it went everywhere

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 21/01/2014 01:01

Congrats mrsg and band
enormouse and nature you poor darlings. That's really sad, I hope you are both okay.
bunt and littleray good luck!

Just had meltdown, fed Alexandra for two hours earlier, she is getting something, but not enough as the second DH and mum had to leave (strict visitng hours) she screamed and screamed until I tried in desperation to feed again. With no milk, she's just ruining my nipples and the pain was ferocious. DH persuaded me over phone to ask for a bottle to fill her up. She drank all of it. All the mws said at her size with delayed milk, I have to top up for now.
Oh, and the consultant came by earlier, said she is macro somatic, which should have been caught, and that future children should be delivered by c section. Bit cross that not one midwife noticed her size.

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 21/01/2014 04:14

So sorry for your loss, Nature and Enormouse. It's a horrible thing to happen when you're in the midst of newborn hormones/emotions. I lost my dad when our first dd was 3 weeks old. It's was a very lonely time. Thinking of you both.

MrsG congratulations! That's another dramatic delivery for the January club! I'm not panicking, I promise...

Nature I'm with a private hospital as I'm overseas, and they've been trying to break my water for the last two weeks! I had a borderline GTT so OB doesn't want to leave me to go too overdue, and has said 41 weeks max. Had a couple of sweeps last week so we will see what happens today and tomorrow, otherwise Thursday is the day.

BuntCadger · 21/01/2014 04:39

anotherbitofcake · 21/01/2014 06:05

Marking place

MrsVDB · 21/01/2014 06:24

Congratulations mrsg that must of been worrying with the hb dropping so glad all is ok

humpty hopefully your milk comes in soon. Do you know when your going home? What's macro somatic? Did the mws not comment on size when they felt your bump? Mine say he's going to be big everytime they have a feel

MrsVDB · 21/01/2014 06:25

Good luck bunt :)
