frying when I called at 11am I was told to go in at 4 then not seen until 4.30! It's not really in line with them telling us to go straight in if we're worried though is it! Hope you get seen soon

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/01/2014 15:52

frying I hope all is ok, they are a bit slow off the mark at your hospital. Every time I went in they had me hooked up with 10 mins of arriving in triage or labour ward.

frizz yellowy egg curds are normal as are runnier yellow poos, mucus is common during a cold where it has dripped post-nasally into their stomachs. I have to use Pampers micro with Mason as the newborn are just too big for him still, they stop leakage.

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 16:04

Still not hooked up. Not gone anywhere. Baby hasn't moved again yet.
so tired! I went through a manic "I've got loads of energy" spurt and now I'm crashing.

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/01/2014 16:16

frying now might be the time to make a little noise and complain, it's been long enough, it is not difficult to hook you up to a monitor, I was doing it myself during my long stay in hospital.

Frizz1986 · 03/01/2014 16:17

Thanks another it's silly all the stuff I haven't figures out yet.
frying hope they see you soon. It's rubbish that you get told to go if you are worried and then it takes forever for them to see yo. Surely it's such as easy thing to check that they would do it to get you home.

Well mw came and said mucous poop is fine unless there are any other worrying factors. And she has put on 130g in 48hrs!! Woop woop. Mw was shocked at the weight gain as it's so much. Next visit on Tues then passed over prob to jaundice clinic for them to monitor her weight and jaundice.

flyawayblue · 03/01/2014 16:34

frying can't believe how long you've been waiting, please make a fuss they may have conserningly forgotten you.

Good luck to everyone being induced today, keep us updated Smile

On maternity leave now but still feels like Christmas holidays as DH is off too. Poor guy is driving me mad though as won't let me clean, tidy or move things. Actually looking forward to him going back to work on Monday..

Do tired today as slept horribly, hips really sore and if I move or lie in the wrong way I get shooting pains down my left side. My bump is also numb which is very odd, next mw appointment is Wednesday so will query then.

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 16:41

Well I'm hooked up to a monitor, baby's heart rate is all over the place, 120-168, highest contraction was 54%? Then goes to 25%? These mean anything to anyone?

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 17:29

Well i said i wasn't happy with the movements so will be seeing the Dr. From what i can hear outside of the curtain I'm being told not to worry and to come back if i get worried.

still waiting to hear from the Dr for def tho

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 17:50

Was told to go home as the Dr wasn't worried. This was told to me by the mw. If i was worried i was to call triage...

I'm so upset. I didn't want to come to the hospital because i said he was fine. Waited three hours to be seen then for nothing to happen.

I'm so fed up i burst into tears. I didn't even want to go to the hospital! But the Dr made it sound like i was being a drama queen.

the woman in the bay next to me got admitted because of pre ecampsia and she'll be induced Monday. You know you've hit the low point in pregnancy when you're jealous of the woman with pre-eclampsia. Which has made me cry even more because it's such a nasty thing to think

Naturegirl82 · 03/01/2014 18:17

Oh frying sorry you've had such a rubbish day. I bet it has been stressful waiting around just to be made to feel like you were overreacting when it wasn't even your choice.

Ah frying huge hugs to you. How dare they make you feel that way. You poor thing. Hope you can relax at home now though.

Well nothing to report here. Bugger all is happening. Not even a twinge. Am just sore down below where he rammed the pessary in ouch!!! Am sharing room with 3 other women that r being induced and nothing happening with them either! Have not been offered drip for induction but gel has been mentioned if things arent happening 2moro. I want some contractions pleaaaaassssseeeeee ...

TarkaTheOtter · 03/01/2014 18:30

frying variation in the heart beat is a good thing I think. It should only really be constant when baby is sleeping.

The contraction numbers aren't supposed to be that important, it's how often you have them and how long they are.

frying how pants! Going in was the right thing to do and unfortunately some drs are cuntpuffins! Hope you are back home and able to de-stress.

choco fx you go first. Sending contraction vibes your way.

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 19:23

Choco - good luck and hang in there!

thanks everyone, it was just disheartening esp because i knew it was nothing.

next appointment is 17 Jan so we'll see what happens

TobyLerone · 03/01/2014 19:35

Rubbish, frying! Sorry you're disappointed :(

I am very uncomfortable in the lower 'area' tonight. Round the bottom of my bump and my lower back. Rubbish!

Mythreeknights · 03/01/2014 19:58

Bad luck frying for such a frustrating day, but the important thing is that your baby is fine!!! That's why 90% of the time it feels like a wasted trip to hospital, but for potentially saving 10% stillborns then it's worth it. Hope you get some rest tonight.

Nothing going on with me. I went into labour with My first born at 38+2 which is tomorrow for this pg, but cannot see it happening this time tbh. V v active baby today and last night...settled now but felt like it was trying to rip itself out of the side of my ribs earlier, and I have an anterior placenta so theoretically feel less.

Good luck chocco too...it's your turn at last!

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 19:58

Ouch, not nice toby

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 20:01

My three - oo it could be going somewhere!?

I'm holding out for 38+5 which was when Ds was born.

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 20:04

Typically Bug is going nuts in me now! I had a bit of a cry and now I'm feeling a lot better. Dh has assured me that people don't think I'm a drama queen, which is good.

belly is so tight at the moment, so he's just messing with me!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/01/2014 20:17

frying you were right to go in, don't feel bad! Besides, I was right drama llama over the TENS machine earlier, so we can share the Overly Dramatic Pregnant Lady Crown, if you want. (For the crying, not for going to hospital).

fly hurrah for mat leave!

toby I hear you, went for a walk earlier and since then have been achy, sore, back hurting, but nothing definitive or useful. I don't think it's leading anywhere other than towards another tantrum as it just feels like over exertion. Bah.

flyawayblue · 03/01/2014 20:17

Sorry they made you feel like that frying, they sound horrible to be honest.

choco hope your next and things start overnight or that you at least get some rest.

humpty and toby sorry to hear your in pain, hope it goes away or is the start of things Smile

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 20:25

It's a dealhumpty

TobyLerone · 03/01/2014 21:08

frying, it doesn't matter now. The baby is moving loads now, and that's all that matters. I'm glad it's finally decided to reassure you!

Mine's unlikely to lead anywhere either, Humpty. Except perhaps a crap night's sleep. At this point I'd be shocked if I had a good night's sleep.

Hope it either ramps up quickly or lets you sleep, loulou.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/01/2014 21:26

toby catch you at 4am...

choco good luck!

frying you may wear the crown now. I'm going for a bath.
