No doubt, Humpty!

chocoloulou34 · 03/01/2014 22:07

Ugh sorry for tmi but feel like my pessary thing has come out too much. Its a bit like a tampon as its on a bit of ribbon that hangs out you but obviously goes a lot further in and earlier there was only tiny bit of ribbon and now there's loads. Trouble is I'm such a wuss. It was rly painful when they out it in but I had oh's hand to hold. I'm too scared to tell the midwife as all the other women in here are now trying to sleep and 2 of there partners are in here too. They all gonna hear me tell midwife then am gonna have to be checked too in this silent room. Oh help. Want oh back here now. I told him to go home as nothing happening. But I do need to say something dont I? If its not in properly then labour never gonna start :(

TarkaTheOtter · 03/01/2014 22:14

The string was really long on mine and it worked fine. I think they just tuck most of the string up.

chocoloulou34 · 03/01/2014 22:26

Ah thanks tarka. Hope thats the case. Just feels different to what it did earlier. Best get them to check as I just dont wanna be laying here all night with it in wrong place having no effect.

Naturegirl82 · 03/01/2014 23:05

Hope you manage to get it sorted Choco

I'm knackered! Had a productive day though which Is good. Managed to get the kitchen properly clean and sorted which it hasn't been since we moved in, haIf the dining room floor scrubbed to get rid of the plaster stains, three loads of washing done and cleaned the bathroom. Just had a long soak in the bath and eaten some ice cream in bed as a reward. Also got the car seat fitted and Dh did another tip run. Finally starting to feel like the house is getting sorted. Smile

I hope those with pains get some progression. I had my first is baby here yet text today. I'm only 38+2! Although I have now started with the epo.

It had come a little loose -gross. Am now on monitor yet again but then will try sleep and hope for progression 2moro. Night ladies

Felix90 · 03/01/2014 23:56

Sorry Choco I thought they had put you on the drip when I posted earlier! I felt the same with the pessary and was convinced it was falling out but it was fine. Hope things start moving for you soon!

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/01/2014 23:58

Oh frying sorry they were dismissive of you. FYI the range on the CFM should be 110-160 although Mason regularly had peaks up to 178 when very wriggly. Variability is good. As Tarka said the toco transducer that picks up the contractions is really only good for measuring contraction frequency and duration as it picks up changes in pressure only.

choco hope things start happening over night, it always tended to in the ladies being induced during my time on the ante natal ward.

Well done on your productive day nature :)

Feeling a bit sore and twingy inside today, I think I have reached a new stage in the healing process and am finding it hard to gauge my limits. Gave me the perfect excuse to sit in bed watching 'Death Comes To Pemberly' on BBC IPlayer and eat chocolate biscuits.

Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 02:43

I'm currently sat in bed with ridiculous heartburn. Also listening to the pooch cry downstairs as we are making her get used to sleeping down there again after being very bad owners and letting her sleep up with us. She is really not happy. I know I need to wait it out and she will eventually give up but I hate hearing her so sad Sad I hope the noise doesn't wake the neighbors

OP posts:
Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 03:39

Still awake, pooch has gone to sleep now thankfully and I've just taken a rennies for the heartburn so hopefully that will help.

Hope you are all sleeping better.

chocoloulou34 · 04/01/2014 04:44

Hope you are sleeping now nature
Wish I was! I managed a couple of hours but thats all. Have finally got pain now. Not contractions but constant pain like rly bad period pains all round the front and back and feel sick too. Cant wait for morning to come. Feels v quiet and lonely in here. Hope I'm not boring you with all my updates lol

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 06:34

Poor loulou. It must be miserable for you Flowers

littleraysofsunshine · 04/01/2014 08:30

My skin feels like its paper thin right nowSad

chocoloulou34 · 04/01/2014 09:06

I'm contracting at last!!!!!!!!!!

Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 09:06

Littleray my skin feels like that too.

Glad things seem to be ramping up choco fx it continues today

Well that was the worst nights sleep and now I've overslept. It would be the only day this week I can't have a nap as well Sad

Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 09:07

Yay choco. Hope the pain is bearable Smile

fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 09:10

Yey choco!

nature - I'm sorry things are rubbish. We're all here if you wanna chat

AnotherStitchInTime · 04/01/2014 09:34

Brilliant choco and just with the pessary too :) If you feel able and are not too tired try to mobilise to bring them along.

Oh nature sorry you had a crap nights sleep, can you crawl under a duvet early this evening to make up for it?

fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 09:55

I'm up and watching Criminal Minds on sky demand. I need to go to the shop because we have no food in. So milk, something for tea... Fun! I'm gonna do a asda shop for delivery tomorrow.

I'm going to tidy today and bulk make chili as dh and ds are big fans!

I'm having pains on my cervix, started last night and still happening.

i need to crack on but i just can't be bothered. Ds will be coming back at 4, so I've got time

Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 10:46

Not sure where this morning has gone so going to put off buying curtains until tomorrow so I have time to do some more cleaning before my friend gets here. Not a bad day though as going to take the pooch for a long walk and get cake Grin

That's a good sign isn't it frying?

OP posts:
Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 10:48

another I'll see how I feel later. Might have an early night and listen to my hypnobirthing cd. Don't feel too bad at the moment surprisingly.

OP posts:
fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 11:03

Possibly nature, but I'm not holding out for anything.

it appears to have stopped. I have loads, absolutely loads, of milky thin discharge today, enough to wet a panty liner. Pregnancy is so glamorous

BookTart · 04/01/2014 11:26

Go choco! Hope it is all going well.

Nothing here AT ALL. I've got the right arse with it. Lots of texts asking if I've had the baby yet (not due until Monday for a start...), no show, no BH, no aches and pains. Sweep on Thursday, but I don't think she's even engaged yet so there's no point. Meh.

And now I will stop whining Grin

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 11:37

Crap, innit, book?
The past 2 evenings I've had really uncomfortable and strong (although not exactly painful) BHs every 10 minutes on the dot. No difference if I get up, move around, bounce on my ball, laze on the sofa. This carries on for a couple of hours. Then I go to bed, they carry on until I go to sleep. Then nothing!

Had (possibly the last for a while!) some 'duvet time' (that still makes me laugh!) this morning. Then DH went off to his driving lesson and I assured him I'd call him WHEN my waters break :o

When he gets back, I think we'll go for a walk around the outlet. I'm sure the woods would be nicer, but the weather isn't exactly our friend.

TarkaTheOtter · 04/01/2014 12:10

I agree with another being active during while the pessary is in really helps get things going. I found going up and down stairs really effective at kick starting contractions.
