Hi ladies.

humpty what a rough time you are having :( do you have omeprazole?

bunt Id say thats just adrenaline! Maybe nesting energy?

frizz would you try arnica for bruising? Ive started taking a few 30c teeny pills a day. Not even sure I believe in homeopathy, but giving it a go anyway! Also witch hazel wipes like prep h might help you?

littleray welcome and good luck trying to keep up with this lot....they talk a lot ;)

MrsR thinking about you today and hoping all went smoothly and you are recovering well.

RE breastmilk, the stuffs like magic - can be used for loads of stuff - clearing sticky eyes etc too.

RE RLT, Ive noticed my BH significantly stronger 2 days after upping to 4 cups (from 2 a day) Not sure if it would have happened anyway though as I am now 39+4. But i feel I need to pee urgently every BH I have when standing up.

Went to get BP checked again and ended up getting checked out at hospital as GP did pee test and found protein. Low reading and with induction scheduled for monday Ive been sent home.

Was a bit surreal earlier though, thinking "this could be the last time I walk in these (hospital) doors with baby still in me"

When I got home I repacked the bags with all the stuff I thought of on the way to the hospital (thinking Id be in for induction or cs, so adding a few days stuff in) and some RLT etc. Also finally got round to updating iphone and kindle with new stuff in case of long waits at any stage. Sleeping with the blanket tonight so itll smell of me...all those little things I put off for the last week!

itsonlyapapermoon · 03/01/2014 05:26

So, I've been admitted up to the ward. Pending blood test results looks like we'll be meeting our little one via c-section either this afternoon or tomorrow morning! Hope you ladies are all going well!

TobyLerone · 03/01/2014 05:28

Good luck, paper!

And good luck for Monday, Blue!

chocoloulou34 · 03/01/2014 05:59

Good luck for today paper

Ladies I cant sleep. Bladder pain is back at its worst and am in agony. Have just had to take painkillers even though I'm due to go in at 8am!! Am so bloody nervous now. Got to ring at 7am for some reason to check they can take me!! Well they better. Cant go on like this anymore I rly cant. Keep worrying about everything now I'm wide awake. Worried about drive to hospital when I feel like this with my bladder, worried about my bad belly, still got slight thrush, piles... oh u know just stuff like that I rly cant do nothing about now. Good thing is baby is having a good old wriggle in there right now. I still cant imagine that he could be out this time 2moro. Doesn't seem real. Well I will ring at 7am and go from there ...

MrsVDB · 03/01/2014 07:27

Good luck choco hopefully your on your way, not long now :)

Good luck also paper how many weeks are you? Do you mind me asking what your blood pressure is? We're the blood tests routine? I've had low blood pressure all along but last week it was at its highest (still not too high at 120/80) but I just have a feeling it's getting higher

Had my 36w growth scan yesterday (at 37+1)) and baby has had a growth spurt from 37 percentile to 81!!! First head measurement scanner did said 42w but he re measured and it came out at 40+4, of all the measurements to be big eek! Didn't see consultant after as apt was cancelled so hoping all is ok. Scanner seemed happy

Got physio apt this morning for hands and back although as this is just initial consultation not sure they'll be able to do anything in time

Scanner also said baby is facing sidewards (head still down and I assume still engaged), is this normal?

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/01/2014 07:53

Good luck papermoon :)

choco really hope they take you today, you should be a priority after all you have been through.

BookTart · 03/01/2014 07:58

Good luck paper!

choco, all the very best for today. Remember, I'm only up the road if you need anything. I hope it goes well.

I've been up all night with hip pain. It hasn't been this bad since 6 weeks when they thought I had an ectopic. Still no show, no waters leaking, no nothing. Also, I had a rummage yesterday and I don't seem to have a cervix at all Confused. I don't thinks she's even engaged yet and she's due on Monday! I see an induction looming...

TobyLerone · 03/01/2014 08:08

Good luck, loulou! And what book said. We can come and rescue you/bring stuff. Just say the word!

MrsV, if it makes you feel any better, one of the sonographers I saw earlier in pregnancy told me that the BPD measurement (diameter of the baby's head) is so inaccurate that many hospitals don't even measure it any more.

I can't find my cervix either, book. And DH has tried whilst inserting EPO for me and he can't, either. Then again, he's got no idea what he's looking for :o
Perhaps we'll be induced together.

I'm so bored now. I've cleaned everything and the weather is too shite to go for a walk. Nothing to do now but twiddle my thumbs.

Frizz1986 · 03/01/2014 08:35

Good luck papermoon and fx choco is already on her way.

OK night last night feeding wise. Although at 2 points in the night Dh half woke and asked if I needed a hand, to which I replied yes. Then he turned over and fell asleep! Alright for some!

Venturing to the shops today as need food and also registering at the gp. Want to get all the formal stuff sorted ASAP. Next on the list is child benefits.

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 08:44

Gosh good luck paper!

Bluecarrot · 03/01/2014 09:04

mrsv look up spinningbabies.com for info on positions and helping them shift if need be. My dd is sideways with back to my left, which is good apparently.

Good luck to those with inductions and c sections today!

quack did I miss an update on Sofia? ( on mobile so easy to miss stuff!)

Have to go return stuff to shops today. I'm dreading it as weather awful with flood warnings, to get worse over weekend. But if I leave it much longer I risk not being able to drive, so gotta go for it.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/01/2014 09:14

choco hope they said yes, you really need this baby out. If not, try weeping down the phone at them?

paper good luck!

blue good luck for Monday.

No, no omeprazole here, just gaviscon. litres and litres of it

Also woken up with incredibly achy and sore hips/pelvis. So bad I couldn't stay in bed any longer. Today is EDD, so part of me thinks it's a sign, part of me just thinks Angry great a new symptom.

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 09:40

I hope you got in choco!

humpty - gaviscon isn't really touching my heartburn. Not long to go! Yesterday my whole pelvis hurt, very odd feeling, but seems to be ok now.

mw called asking why i missed yesterday's appointment. On my green notes she had written 2/1 which is a Friday at 11.45. As all my other appointments have been a Fri i took it to mean today. She thought yesterday. Still, she's going to see me at 12 instead. I think that's her lunch time, so can't see me getting a sneaky sweep

itsonlyapapermoon · 03/01/2014 09:45

So turns out they are going to break my waters at 6:30 tomorrow morning instead and hopefully I have a natural birth instead. This is my 4th baby...why the fuck am I shitting myself now??? Lol I had no fear with the others, and 2 of them I did without pain relief. I must've become a big sook since I turned 30Grin

Toothfairy78 · 03/01/2014 10:00

Morning ladies,

Well, today would have been my due date. Instead we are celebrating our first breastfed POO! This is after a stressful few days of establishing feeding as my milk took FOREVER to come in! Which meant last 24 hrs of feeding every 2 hours whether anyone liked it or not. Never thought I'd be so pleased to see poo ever.

I can't believe how fast we're all moving now. Seriously cannot keep up with you.

Good luck to those being induced soon. Hugs to those with tooth pain and other pain.

And "COME ON, GET A MOVE ON!!" to the sprogs that need encouragement today.

GummiBear74 · 03/01/2014 10:11

Was doing really well with gaviscon until a few weeks ago, now even thinking about the stuff makes me want to vom Sad

Reduced to using rennies instead when desperate, but they don't work for very long. Have been living with constant reflux and nausea for what seems like forever and it's really grinding me down. Still, I'm grateful to not have spd, sciatica, or what poor choco is going through (hope you'll get sorted out today).

Sounds like we're all getting to the end of our tethers with the various discomforts we're feeling - let's get all these babies out before we go completely nuts!

Naturegirl82 · 03/01/2014 10:19

Morning everyone, good luck to any cs and inductions today.

Another day of cleaning for me. Hoping to get the majority of it finished today so I can have a nice relaxing day with my best friend tomorrow and she doesn't see how much of a hovel my house had become.

Hope everyone has a good day.

OP posts:
fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 10:21

Well done baby tooth!

paper - it's good to know the fear never leaves!

gummi - rennies do nothing for me. I've resorted to gaviscon strawberry chewable ones. Only i don't chew them because it makes me sick. so i swallow them whole with milk. Makes the milk taste of strawberry milkshake. Even then it doesn't help.

BandontheFun · 03/01/2014 10:22

Hey. Just checking in. Hope everyone is doing ok!

I'm with you guys, who are ready for it to be over. So bored now, and getting a bit ragey! Feel bad for DH he seems to be getting the brunt of it and he is being lovely so i just feel like a bitch!

Due date is Monday, Hoping I go before then. But I doubt it just feel the same, tiny bit more Fanjo pain but that's about it. Had more heartburn but luckily love hearts are still helping.

To everyone getting and induction or section today. Good Luck!

MrsVDB · 03/01/2014 10:45

Thanks book ill check it out. Mines led back on the left too so that's good :)

toby I have plenty of jobs I could offer you if your bored! Ranging from going to argos, bank, getting nails done, painting furniture, sealing the slate floor, wood fillering the skirting, fitting new skirting, painting coving, painting walls, bonding.... The list is endless! :)

chocoloulou34 · 03/01/2014 10:52

Sorry for delay ladies. I rang at 7am and just what I expected with my luck they told me they were closed overnight and had no room for me. I had a little breakdown on phone and was told midwife coordinator would ring me at 8am to see what they could do. Of course they didnt rang back so we spent next hour ringing their constantly engaged phone. OH finally spoke to them and told them pain I was in etc and they said to ring at 11 but wwooop b4 we did they rang and said they had space for me. So on our way now eeeeek. Thanks book and toby :)

Will update when possible. Thanks all for kind words..

TobyLerone · 03/01/2014 10:52

I've done enough painting the last few weeks to last me a lifetime! And I hate manicures. I'll go to Argos for you though :o

I've found something to do. It's nagging the DC to tidy their rooms because they're a right state and the rest of the house is fairly presentable. I've also changed my bed and dusted my room. Exciting.

TobyLerone · 03/01/2014 10:53

Yay, loulou! I'm so glad. Good luck!

fryingpantoface · 03/01/2014 10:57

Good luck choco well done on getting a space!

I'm shattered. I slept well, but I'm just in pain. Every time i bend over it feels like I'm cutting the baby's head off iyswim, but I'm just tired and need to rest after getting dressed. I also feel really sick.

i know being tired is a side affect of my possible thyroid problems but i feel like I'm on my knees. I need to have another blood test but the mw said if it comes back that i need thyroid medication i can't go on the birthing suite, she said to hold off if i can

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/01/2014 11:03

Oh choco I'm so glad!

Well done toothbaby on the first poo!

Just had a meltdown over poor DH, my TENS machine arrived, but wouldn't switch on. Now, I don't really think it'll do much other than distract me during labour. But to have organised it last minute, when the Birth Centre let us down and couldn't supply one, well, you'd have thought I was being asked to give birth in the jungle with no food or water or medical supplies. Ragey, incoherent sobbing. 'How am I supposed to give birth when NOTHING WORKS, and NO ONE CARES' was, I believe, uttered... Grin

DH phoned the helpline, was told to hold the on button for longer as the units are a bit knackered.

Turns out it works fine. Quite nice buzzing feeling in fact. Blush

Tell me this 0-60 rage/weeping gets better?? Have had it throughout.
