Oo now the Dr and the midwife are arguing. The Dr wants to push for induction, the midwife said it's pointless scanning me if it's happened twice then to induce

MrsVDB · 05/01/2014 18:07

Ooh could be close then frying is the monitor not picking up movement?

fryingpantoface · 05/01/2014 18:17

I'm bring induced tnohjit. At half seven

Angelesque · 05/01/2014 18:22

GOOD LUCK FRYING! Good that it's all happening for you and baby now x

MrsVDB · 05/01/2014 18:36

Oh my goodness bet your very relieved! Is the reason reduced movement?

Frizz1986 · 05/01/2014 18:42

Good luck frying

enormouse · 05/01/2014 18:50

That must be such a relief frying best of luck xxx.

Argh, changed my mind - I will be murdering dp. Probably tonight.
Ds is teething really badly right now and I went to give him some calpol. Dp (last to use it) hadn't closed the lid properly so when I shook it EVERYTHING got covered in calpol. The floor, me, ds - partially, the change of clothes I got out for him as he's soaked through with dribble.

I am so pissed off, how can he be such a numpty? He's only stopped doing the 'decorative' lid thing with the milk. I am hobbling about the place muttering "don't kill daddy" over and over to myself. If he's found floating in the river with a infant medical spoon up his arse, I'd like it known I had a valid motive.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 05/01/2014 19:04

enormouse I'll be your alibi Grin

frying ooh! good luck, so glad you did go in, baby frying soon!

tooth your DH is a man of sense.

felix bless her, bath time isn't fun time until you get ducks etc. Up until then she has every right to yell Grin

Just went to see the Hobbit 2 at cinema, in hopes that being away from home and hospital bag might spoof bean into appearing. No such luck, but it was fun!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 05/01/2014 19:05

I always forget stuff. Blush

another glad you had reassuring news, sensible to get checked out. Hope the poor love feels better soon.

MrsGSR · 05/01/2014 19:07

Good luck frying!

Congrats choco, altered and anyone I've missed :)

Naturegirl82 · 05/01/2014 19:08

Good luck frying

enormouse that sounds like a valid motive to me

I've had a fairly productive day. Nearly sorted our room but need a few storage boxes which I'll get tomorrow. I've built the changing dresser so I can put the baby clothes away tomorrow which will make me feel much better. Having a nice sit down now before dinner Smile

Good luck due date buddy frying looks like you will pip me to the post after all. So glad they are taking it seriously now and all the best over the next few hours Grin

I have felt so much bearing down pressure today, coupled with cervical stabbing pain and back ache all morning. Not looking forward to potentially another three weeks of this (if I go overdue).

Dh is away to a funeral three hours away tomorrow, and with work three hours ay on weds so I am feeling a little vulnerable but trying to be jolly and cross my legs.

Felix90 · 05/01/2014 19:22

Ahh good luck frying!!!

TobyLerone · 05/01/2014 19:55

Glad Mason is ok, another.

Good luck, frying!

enormouse, you need to twat him one with a heavy object. I have a Le Creuset frying pan I can barely lift. You're welcome to borrow it.

Well done, nature. Excellent effort!

felix, they always hate the bath. You'd think you were trying to kill them!

We were going to go to the cinema today, Humpty, but we ran out of time. I'd rather chew my own arm off than watch The Hobbit, though :o

I'm sure it'll be fine, mythree. Legs and fingers crossed!

We went for a walk in the woods today, but it was the slowest walk ever because my sister and my super adorable nephew came with. He's 2, and if you've ever tried to walk anywhere with a toddler, you'll know what I mean!
Then we did some food shopping, went to John Lewis, and I cooked a roast when we got home. Knackered now!

fryingpantoface · 05/01/2014 20:04

Thanks everyone!

induced because of protein in my wee and lack of movements.

apparently bug isn't engaged, his head is on the rim. They think I'll need two pesseries, so not to get my hopes up for a baby tomorrow.

I've come in on my own because visiting hour finishes at eight, have brought my phone, the spare battery, dh's laptop, and my fully charged kindle. Apparently if two pesseries fail it will be a c section. So i should have my baby no later than Tuesday apparently.

cant go up properly, but stupid dh's deserve telling off! Dh sometimes does the "lid is for decoration" trick. It does my head in

BookTart · 05/01/2014 20:05

Hope it is going well frying :)

MrsVDB · 05/01/2014 20:12

Good luck frying it's a good job you went in again :)

flyawayblue · 05/01/2014 20:13

Glad you went in frying and they are keeping a close eye on you. Hope the pessary works and amazing that you will have your baby by Tuesday.

Did lots of tidying today so the flat looks less like a bomb went off, now to take down the Christmas decorations tomorrow and then the flat will be back to ours and maybe baby ready!

Frizz1986 · 05/01/2014 20:26

At least you have an end point now frying so its really good that you went in.
I took loads of things in on my second hospital trip as I was so bored when I was waiting on xmas eve and xmas day. Dh was amazing and put stuff on my ipad, dl things onto my laptop and everything so it helped pass the time a bit when she went in for her light treatment.

Dont forget ladies to add yourself to the baby list once they have arrived. Be great to see how many people made it to january lol.

AnotherStitchInTime · 05/01/2014 20:26

Good luck frying :)

enormouse how annoying Angry

mythree legs crossed baby will wait a few days.

nature very productive, I am not looking forward to the girls new flat pack chest of drawers arriving. I have roped my Dad in to help put it together, the thought of putting 12 drawers together wasn't very appealing!

humpty hope you enjoyed the Hobbit :)

itsonlyapapermoon · 05/01/2014 20:56

Hello ladies! Things didn't quite go according to plan, but our boy arrived 6:58am Saturday morningSmile
I'd been admitted for pre-eclampsia and they were going to break my waters at 6:30 Saturday morning and see if labour progressed on its own. I'd drifted off and maybe had been asleep for an hour when I had an almighty gush and flooded the bed about 12:30am. OMG so much fluid lol!! Had to call DH to get back up to the hospital quickly and they had me set up in birthing suite by the time he got here. I had contractions coming every 2-3 minutes and got to 7cm in about 3-4hrs. I was hyper contracting though by that point and was having 5-7 contractions every 10mins. Me and bubs were starting to get tired so I requested an epidural. They gave me an injection to ease off the contractions to give me a break too. Was such a relief after that point and labour was great, I was cracking jokes about "fanny gazing" with the midwife lol. I was getting strong urges to push but bubs head had been on a bit of an angle and my cervix wasn't dilating evenly. They let me go for a bit longer but in the end they decided id stalled at 9cm and they needed to get him out via c-section. C-section was pretty bloody full-on! Baby's head was stuck in my pelvis and they had to use forceps to yank him out. There was so much pressure I got them to up the epidural twice.
They finally managed to get him out, and the midwives were all acting shocked...I was a bit out of it and didn't understand what the fuss was until one came over and said, "We've weighed him 3 times...he's 5 kilos!!!"
No bloody wonder he got stuck!! So out lovely (not so) little boy, Lewis Clark made a grand entrance to the world weighing in at a strapping 11lbs 1ozShock
He's been in the special care nursery since then because they've been trying to stabilize his blood sugars, but he is fine, he'll probably be in with me from this arvo fingers crossed and hopefully home tomorrow! He's feeding like a champ, can't get enough lol, he keeps trying to shove his fist in with the boob! DH is absolutely enthralled with his boy, and the kids adore their new baby brother! Sorry about the epic saga this post had turned into lol! Hope for the ladies still waiting on your babies that they turn up soon and all goes well! Xx

Naturegirl82 · 05/01/2014 21:08

wowzers paper congratulations. What a weight, no wonder it was a difficult birth. Hope you both recover well.

Wow paper 11lb ShockShockShock congratulations and wishing you both a speedy recovery!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 05/01/2014 21:32

paper ShockShockShockShock
That's phenomenal, what an amazing lady you are, and how fab that you have your gorgeous (not so!) little boy!

AnotherStitchInTime · 05/01/2014 21:36

Wow paper, glad they moved to c section when they did. What a whopper! Great to hear he is feeding well and will be able to be with you soon. Re: c section take it slow, not easy I know when you have other kids, but don't be tempted to do too much too soon especially after the difficulties and delivery with the forceps you had (my first EMCS was like that and the internal healing took a lot longer than 6 weeks).
