It is totally rubbish. You're brave going to the outlet - I couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't snap and kill innocent shoppers if I went there today Grin

Duvet time is but a distant memory in this house, in spite of my pleading. Had a curry last night, but it was distinctly un-spicy. Looks like I'm in for the long haul! DH is now dead set against me being induced as well, because nct lady said it is BAD (Angry), so even if I get to 42 weeks I'll have a struggle on my hands to evict the baby. I'll go crazy with worry before then though!

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 12:18

I just need to get out of the house! And DH needs some stuff. And I can probably persuade him to take me to Wagamamas for lunch.

fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 12:28

Mm wagamammas! Love that place! I'm about to go to Asda. My new shoes have arrived which is exciting!

enormouse · 04/01/2014 12:53

I am shattered. And pissed off. And uncomfortable. So please let me have a little rant and then I promise - lots of advice and support.

Dp is back to work on Monday and have realised that we haven't actually spent any time alone together. His mum would quite happily have taken Ds - she's a teacher. But dp hasn't actually bothered to ask and she's going back to work too.
This has fucked me off in the extreme as I really wanted to spend some time with him before number 2 arrives. We could have done stuff in the evenings after the lo went to bed but he's used this time to arse about on his kindle/laptop/phone. I feel pretty low down on the priority list so to speak.

Ds is teething so he came in at 5am and has been all over me (understandably) and is fussy, whingy and clingy. Though he did really well at his pre school open day session and was so good.

The house is a tip, I'm had planned to get an essay written today but DS won't leave me alone. I feel pretty depressed right now. And just want to go back to bed.

Phew. Must crack on with my essay though. So I'll be on and off the thread procrastinating today. Hope you're doing better than me.

fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 13:22

mouse that sounds tough. Dh gets like that sometimes, so i blanket ban all phones/ laptops etc. It forces us to do something together, which sounds awful but you get into the habit of doing your own thing.

could his mom have your lo tonight?

tell him that you will be doing stuff tonight or else

enormouse · 04/01/2014 13:34

Ds is asking to go to his gagas (grannys), just wonder whether I should persuade him to put some proper clothes on first. He's wearing an gruffalo onesie and a waistcoat on top because he wanted to be an ewok today. Which I can't look at without smiling.

So we might just get some time together. I do want to thump him though (dp not ds). I am not feeling very romantically inclined. I could turn him into a test subject for my coursework instead of the virtual rat I'm supposed to be training.

fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 13:55

Nah, don't change him, they are only little once.

deffo use him instead of the rat

MrsRApilot · 04/01/2014 14:00

Hi ladies. I haven't read through but just wanted to post that Alexander Matthew was born at 15:55 on Thursday by caesarean. He was 7lb 15oz and looks exactly like Boris Johnson with a shock of straight blonde hair. Very sore at home (they let me out after just one night!!) but really happy. Will be on again with proper post when I'm feeling more human.

Congrats to anyone who has had their baby and good luck to those still waiting :-)

Naturegirl82 · 04/01/2014 14:11

Congratulations mrsr. Sounds like the cs went well.

fryingpantoface · 04/01/2014 14:22

Congratulations MrsR

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 14:31

Congratulations, MrsR! Hope you have a quick recovery :)

enormouse, that sounds hard. Hope you have a better evening tonight.

BookTart · 04/01/2014 14:45

Lovely news mrsr :)

Aww to the ewok enormouse. Try not to kill DP until after you've had your nice evening together Wink

Percypiglet · 04/01/2014 14:54

Congrats Mrs R, good news!

Felix90 · 04/01/2014 15:00

Congrats MrsR!! Smile

TarkaTheOtter · 04/01/2014 15:06

Congratulations mrsR great news

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 04/01/2014 15:20

Congratulations MrsR that's ace (and LOVE the pics on Fb - he's a gorgeous bundle!). Hope the soreness goes soon.

enormouse I feel your pain. My DH is giving up smoking for the millionth time and has replaced fags with incessant bloody computer games. I have bided (bid?) my time, ignored it, not snapped, offered tea and coffee when I've been making it, and FINALLY he has gone to hoover upstairs (his DF is visiting this evening). This is after four days of him playing pretty much non-stop.
I hope you get a nice evening tonight - play the preggo rage card?

book and toby it's BLOODY DULL, eh? I keep getting period-y pains, but then it turns out I need a wee/poo (no dignity left, not even going to apologise), or they go if I move around. Then I get pressure down low, but standing up/walking around seems to relieve it, not increase it.
I keep getting calls/texts too - managing to mostly stay calm and reply nicely/take it in a nice spirit, but it's getting on my tits too. My DM is the only one who gets it, and is sending me amusing texts, and not mithering me. My favourite one (which I send her) is: 'WHERE MA BEBE???' She usually replies 'Bebe too comfortable, you are too good at being pregnant. Only yourself to blame Wink'

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 15:31

Ha! DH has had phone calls from his dad (who he rarely sees and who lives up North) and his mum (who lives 45 mins away and who he speaks to most days) to ask if there's any news. I couldn't believe it when his mum called! Like he wouldn't have told her.

flyawayblue · 04/01/2014 15:32

Congratulations MrsRA, love the name. Hope you are recovering well at home.

mouse brilliant outfit for ds, don't think I could change him out of that! I agree with trying to get some time with dh this evening and like the idea of having a time without laptops and phones, we fall into that trap as well.

Still period sore today but nothing else happening, tmi but, felt for my cervix this morning and its not as closed as normal which must be a good thing. Guess the epo might be working.

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 15:36

I still can't find my cervix.

AnotherStitchInTime · 04/01/2014 15:44

Congratulations on the birth of Alexander MrsRA, take it easy with your recovery x

enormouse loving your ds's outfit. I think you need to talk to your DP, it doesn't sound like he is the type to 'get it' unless you spell out what you want.

Toothfairy78 · 04/01/2014 16:01

Greetings from hospital all!

Yup, got sent back in due to high BP, but will go home today. Honestly I feel fine!

Congratulations to MrsRA!!!

Good luck to those who are still waiting/being induced etc.

Glad to hear things are finally kicking off girl you choco, good luck with the next bit! X

Hugs to those with discomfort, tooth pain etc...

Carry On Nesting!

BandontheFun · 04/01/2014 16:04

Congratulations MrsRA

Fly I would have no idea how to find my cervix! So hats off!

Anyone else have no boob leakage what so ever (TMI even if I squeeze them), due Mon thought there would at least be something? Kinda stressing that I won't have anything once the baby is here.

Also was gonna buy some formula milk for at home just in case...good idea or bad?

GummiBear74 · 04/01/2014 16:05

Congratulations mrsra!

toby when did you last see it? Have you considered offering a reward for information leading to its safe return Grin

There's no way I could even attempt to find mine. And I'm not going to ask DH, he has far more important things to do (getting my bathroom finally finished)!

TobyLerone · 04/01/2014 16:19

:o gummi. I believe I was last certain of its known whereabouts before I was pregnant. A reward is an excellent idea!

band, I had boob leakage early, at 20ish weeks, and on a couple of occasions after that, but nothing recently despite doing quite a lot of stimulation in the last couple of weeks to try to encourage the lazy baby out.

Re formula, I've heard it suggested that if you're planning to breastfeed, you shouldn't buy just-in-case formula because it makes it too easy to give up. And it's not like it's not something you can get from any 24-hr supermarket if you really need it.

tooth, sorry to hear you've been back to hospital, but glad you're going home :)
