Happy new year from beautiful Gran Canaria.

19+4 today. Was laying on the sofa yesterday morning and saw my tummy shift from one side to the other as my son did a complete shift about, he then continued to kick me hard enough that I could see the kicks. I love love love this stage of pregnancy.

Booked my 4D scan for first Sunday in March :)

loopylou52 · 01/01/2014 10:45

Happy new year everyone! What an exciting year for us all! Grin

sambababy · 01/01/2014 13:11

Happy new year everyone! Can you believe we are having our babies this year?

I am now 21+5 and totally addicted to feeling my baby moving. Every spare minute I get I lie down and put my hands on my belly. I just find it so incredible! And he/she is getting pretty rough already, I can see my belly move sometimes.

I'm also sales shopping for baby bargains, but have fallen in love with the uppababy vista travel system which doesn't seem to have any deals :(

Wishing you all a healthy and magical New Year x

Hezbean · 01/01/2014 13:20

Happy new year everyone!!! How exciting, it's 2014 and we will all have gorgeous babies this year. Hooray xxx

Minions · 01/01/2014 14:20

Happy new year! Stayed in bed til 12 today - first time in months, last time in years! Had a great Hogmanay :)

samba we're also looking at uppababy. There's a deal with pram centre, 10% off plus a deal with the Cruz model and car seat. 10% off vista but don't think there's a package deal.

snoozysleeper · 01/01/2014 14:35

Happy new year all!
Grin

Vikks · 01/01/2014 14:36

Mumof2 I booked my 4D scan too! 1st March, I can't wait to see little one again. All the grandparents are coming too and my sister, nobody wants to miss it.

Have a great 2014 everyone! x

Xavielli · 01/01/2014 14:42

I'm going for an icandy peach blossom or an oyster max - need something that can be double, single and has a good resale value.

AppleCrumble1 · 01/01/2014 14:51

Happy New Year to you all! What an exciting year we have ahead of us Grin
We've started researching prams too & like the look of the Uppababy Vista / Cruz as well as the Sola / Urbo & a friend has just praised her iCandy peach 2. We need to go & try them all out in store I think!

sambababy · 01/01/2014 15:07

Ooh thanks minions, will check out that website! Cheapest place I found for the Vista is a website called Baby Nest. £629.99 inc car seat.

Choppa · 01/01/2014 17:31

Happy new year everyone!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with tricky in laws. The Xmas period has been so busy but had a nice relaxing day today.

Exciting to hear about the buying going on! We still have lots of stuff from DS so not much to buy...only a Moses basket I think. I need to see if I still have the lists I made from 1st time round for baby and hospital bag etc.

I'm looking forward to 2014!

moominleigh94 · 01/01/2014 17:50

getting kicked constantly in morning and evenings, we have such an active little pudding Grin OH is feeling them every day!

struggling to summon up energy to do all my uni work, got 2 essays in on 8th, one on the 13th and one 23rd and got to direct the first years in a 15 minute play this month too Shock

we're either going for a graco or joie travel system. both are £99 just got to decide which ones best Smile

moominleigh94 · 01/01/2014 17:51

oh and 23+2 Grin

mrsmummytobe · 01/01/2014 18:24

Happy New Year ladies!! Congrats on the lovely scan news & welcome newbies. I can't believe that this time next year we will all have another little person to celebrate with :)

We have got a few more bits in the sales. We bought a Caboo baby carrier. The lady in the shop did an amazing demonstration for us & it looks nice & comfy for the baby as well as for whoever is carrying it.

Pram-wise, we are thinking of getting a Bugaboo but I've also heard really good things about the icandy. I hadn't heard about it at all until the last couple of days but it's meant to be amazing. Think we're going to go & have a look tomorrow.

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 01/01/2014 18:31

The iCandy's are beautiful! But lots of £££ - I have pram envy Wink I think the good thing about having the second is that you can splash out on things that are nice eg decent changing bag/ video monitor/ easy feed formula system for me Grin because 'essentials' are already bought (cot, Moses basket, car seat, high chair etc)

moomin35 · 01/01/2014 18:40

I feel so lethargic and lazy at 18 weeks - is this normal? I kepe reading that you get lots of energy back in the second trimester but doesnt seem to be happening to me! :-)

ThePollyAndTheIvy · 01/01/2014 18:45

we bought our bugaboo ages ago, there was a free carseat deal so we snapped it up and got our moses basket the other day too.
had my anti-d injection today, my arm hurts but thats the only side effect so farSmile
20 week scan tomorrow, I'm so excited i could burst!
DH felt the baby move for the first time this morning- good day all round if you ask me!

McBaby · 01/01/2014 18:53

I love my icandy peach 2 and just need to buy the conversion kit so it can fit DD and the new baby.

I would just buy it from a big shop like John Lewis as icandy customer service is supposed to be appalling but john Lewis will deal with them for you!

mrsmummytobe · 01/01/2014 19:23

Pollyandivy where did you get your bugaboo from? We're going to this little independent pram shop tomorrow as apparently they have got some really good deals on! I still cannot believe some prams cost the same amount as a 2nd hand car lol!

ThePollyAndTheIvy · 01/01/2014 19:39

mrsmummy we got it from mothercare. it's worth noting on their babyplan that the price/offer sticks at what you opened it at, its interest free and if you cancel you get all your money back that you've paid Grin I don't work for them honestly, just thought it was a really good deal!
I've heard it's really unusual to find deals on a bugaboo!

mrsmummytobe · 01/01/2014 21:33

Thanks pollyandivy. I hadn't heard of their babyplan but definitely going to look into that one!

hobbjobb · 01/01/2014 23:48

We've already bought our pram off a friend, the silver cross 3d, not the pram I would have chosen but it was ridiculously cheap, she basically gave it to us along with a brand new car seat she'd never used.

But I would say if you are spending a lot on a pram (I was originally looking at an Uppababy vista too) is do think about customer services.
Personally, I'd pay a little extra to get it from john lewis as they are so amazing if something goes wrong, my friend just got her icandy replaced after a wheel went wrong and she's had it for over a year and a half.
You may not get that service from a small retailer

On a separate note, my boobs are agony and my nipples are blue/purple and so tender I'm having trouble sleeping. Anything I can do about it?

Oh and happy new year, time is flying. I'm 19+3 today and my anomaly scan is next week. We're not finding out the sex, though it may be hard to resist once we are there, I've told DP not to let me cave!

rebeccax2 · 02/01/2014 09:42

Back at work! Yuk.

How is everyone doing? I have my scan on Monday morning and I just can't wait to hear everything is okay so I can relax into the last few months.

What does everyone do for a job? And will you be going back after?

moominleigh94 · 02/01/2014 10:48

I'll be finishing at uni two weeks before my due date (end of term) and going back when term starts again next September Smile looks like OH has a job delivering pizzas, and I'm hoping if baby and his shifts etc allows to get one at one of the supermarkets over the summer, just to get a bit extra in Smile

rebeccax2 · 02/01/2014 11:20

Ha! Oh nice you have the perfect break at term time moomin :-)
