Panic over - lost toy has been found. In the house. In a basket of hats/scarves that I last touched. Blush

Fair warning to all you first timers - this is what may become of you.
Children > sleep deprivation > memory loss > midnight panic about a stuffed fox.

AlyssInAManger · 17/01/2014 00:39

Yay I've reached 23 week Smile the midwife said that if the remaining baby gets this far, then it's definitely going to keep surviving! I'm not allowed to have sex but I don't really want to anyway lol. Last time I was pregnant I had so much sex though, makes me wonder if this baby is a different gender. When I asked the sonographer if she could see the gender, she had a look but the baby had its cord in between its legs! Cheeky baby.

dobedobedo · 17/01/2014 04:30

Yay alyss! That's good news!

I've just woken up to pee and now I'm ravenous.
Is anyone else needing to pee more again? Baby must be squishing bladder.

bushprincess · 17/01/2014 05:13

abyss that's such fabulous news!!!!!! So happy for you after everything youve been through, that little one is a fighter! Look after yourself and i hope you can start to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Xxx

bushprincess · 17/01/2014 05:15

And dobe yep me too, so annoying as since 12 wks the nighttime see breaks had stops4d, but this week i can't make it past 4am!!, (23 +4)

PotatoPolly · 17/01/2014 06:49

Alyss thats brilliant news! Thanks

definitely the same with my bladder and eating like an animal... Just can't stop eating!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 17/01/2014 07:04

Fantastic news alyss, take it easy and rest.

No bladder issues here (except for my prolapse at 15-16 weeks!). I dont normally get the needing to pee during the night back until about 30 weeks.

Pregnancy is so glamorous!

Has anyone used the "im pregnant" card yet? To get a seat or use a toilet etc? Ive pretty mich wprn ot out this time round, but for genuine reasons.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 17/01/2014 07:19

MRSMUMMY can you message me the adress you want me to send baby clothes to. Ill probably use myHermes to deliver as the post office near me shuts before I finish work and I trust hermes. Im not 100% on delivery charge as they work it out by postcode but theyre not expensive. I WILL get off my lazy arse this weekend and sort out the rest of the boxes of clothes I have! Xx

MrsFooCough · 17/01/2014 07:34

HELLO ALYSS I'M SO GLAD TO SEE YOU ON HERE AGAIN YAAYYYY FOR THE TENACIOUS BABY Flowers Grin

Also I am in agreement with PotatoPolly the thought of it all getting so MESSY after labour is terrifying me a bit. So I may have another wax nearer the time, I think I can manage the itching over matted gross hair ~TMI klaxon~

ThistletoeAndWine · 17/01/2014 07:40

What's the I'm pregnant card?

I've lost my voice and got another chesty cough!! Joys of being on holiday and then back here ;-)

mumof2aimingfor4 · 17/01/2014 08:21

Just a figure of speech thistle e.g. when you need the toilet and go in a restaurant and say, sorry can I use your toilet, im pregnant. They have to let you.

bushprincess · 17/01/2014 08:26

I did mumof2 when booking in for my flight back after christmas I used the pg card and the lovely lady at check in gave me 3 seats all together so I could put my feet up and stretch out! thank you lovely lady!

However.... the flight was chokka and of course someone came and asked if they could have one of the seats as they were 3 people in one row and there I was there with 3 seats to myself.... of course I felt so bad saying no (well, more a realisation that I couldn't quite cope with everyone looking at me and thinking 'what a selfish cow') that I agreed... but felt SO grumpy about it all night!

if I have to fly again I'll be more selfish, but looking more pregnant now (rather than just a bit chubby round the middle) so hopefully wouldn't feel so guilty!!

wm3010 · 17/01/2014 08:36

Alyss that's such great news, hopefully everything is plain sailing for you from now on!

I will definitely be having a wax nearer the time, have only been waxed once since the start but it wasn't too bad to be honest (actually usually find it's less painful with a bit more growth, sorry if TMI) and my beautician was very vocal about the fact she thought it would be a good idea prior to labour as less messy!

Minions · 17/01/2014 09:05

Alyss, absolutely brilliant news - so pleased to hear from you! Have been thinking about you hoping all was well.

My friends and family kinda push the maternity card on me, in a nice way. Ie don't do that, sit here etc. found it weird but -milking- graciously accepting it now :). Was on London tube this week, stuck my big bump right out but no one offered me a seat, was worth a try ;)

Haven't slept right through the night for weeks now. I think the baby is using my bladder as a bean bag. Night & day I need to go!

bushprincess so so excited for you, eek! Hope today/tonight passes quickly before you DH returns

As for 'maintenance' I'm still tidying bikini line by waxing it myself. I find the veet strips are good, sore at the time but lasts longer and when it grows back it's not uncomfortable. I really don't like shaving but will if I have to. I've never been one for full deforestation though and won't be starting now! Hoping for a shower or bath soon after birth to get cleaned up.

bushprincess · 17/01/2014 09:24

Thanks minions.... am whiling away the hours and being completely unproductive (hence hanging around here too much!!!) Smile

LongTailedTit · 17/01/2014 09:27

Yay for Alyss! :)

ThistletoeAndWine · 17/01/2014 09:43

While doing Xmas shopping with dh we went to Manchester City centre and I was desperate for the loo, the queue was massive I was willing to wait, dh asked the attendant to unlock the disabled loo and told him I was preg!! I was mortified but relieved!!!

Is this allowed or does it make me sound entitled???

randdom · 17/01/2014 09:46

Alyss I am so happy for you Grin

Random question, does anyone else find that their bump occasionally gets randomly really hard? No pain or anything else just really hard. Lasts less than. 30 seconds. I am having a mind blank and bit sure if I have asked before..

21 weeks today!

Vikks · 17/01/2014 10:06

Alyss fantastic news!!!! Keep doing whatever you're doing. 23 weeks today too!

I am so going to stick my bump out if there's ever a toilet queue. Little girl has taken to using my bladder as a toys! I nearly had a accident last night when she suddenly kicked it. Blush

I've got another 'lovely' pg symptom, my boobs are leaking through my clothes! I didn't not think I'd be buying breast pads this soon. Could it be because it's second baby? It wasn't this bad with Ds. Maybe they remember the job they have to do, I fed DS for a year??? Any other 2nd, 3rd times the same? Hmm

Vikks · 17/01/2014 10:09

Sounds like Braxton hicks randdom.

rebeccax2 · 17/01/2014 10:37

Such amazing news ALYSS - go little one, go go go!!

My current and recurring symptoms are piles. YUK.
Lightheadedness and surges in heart rate which freaks me out, but is apparently quite normal :-/

Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good really.

sambababy · 17/01/2014 11:04

random I just started noticing my bump getting hard this week, every now and then. 24wks today!

dobedobedo · 17/01/2014 11:23

vikks My boobs have leaked through my clothes since week 14!! Especially at night. Night time bras and breast pads are a godsend. This is my second child, but I had leaky boobs from about the same time with ds - my first!

random that sounds like BH. I get them too. 24 weeks today for me too! Another big milestone Grin

loopylou52 · 17/01/2014 11:35

Fab news Alyss, what a little fighter you've got in there! Smile

My bump gets harder some times but I thought maybe it was baby moving round.

Those of you travelling on trains and tubes, do you have the TFL 'baby on board' badge? In theory it tells people you're pregnant to save you having to stick your bump out to get a seat. It's only actually worked once for me so far but also helps me not feel guilty about heading straight for a priority seat etc. You can pick the badge up from any tube station and don't need any proof you're pregnant.

loopylou52 · 17/01/2014 11:37

My boobs thankfully haven't started leaking, and neither have they grown! Bought some new unwired bras the other day - I've gone up two sizes in back size but cup size is still a definite C. I didn't particularly want big ones but am now strangely disappointed!
