Congratulations Vikks! :) Lovely that it was a joint effort by your DS and DH!
I was lucky enough to get pretty much my ideal birth last time around, so I'll probably just reuse my birth plan again this time. I had two pages, one for if I got my home birth and another for if I needed a transfer to hospital.
A few things for people to consider putting on theirs is whether you want the cord cutting straight away, whether you want an injection to help the delivery of the placenta and whether you want your LO to have a vitamin injection.
Lots of good advice from Choppa, Moomin. I didn't feel very attached to DD before she was born. I'm more of a logical than emotional person anyway, so I'd carefully made all the arrangements but I wasn't anywhere near besotted. Same thing this time around. I don't think I've ever felt anywhere near crying at being kicked or seeing a scan or anything!
When DD was born I didn't feel a sudden rush of love or a switch flicking or anything. It was more a case of "Oh, a baby. Can I have a shower now?"
I cared about DD of course, but at first she just seemed like a very demanding pet. Over time, my love for her has grown as she's become a proper little person and now I can't imagine a time without her in my life!
So try not to worry about your feelings towards your LO. You haven't met them yet, not really! Nor have you had a chance to get to know them, or for them to get to know you. Some people are able to fall in love right away, but others take some time. At the end, the depths of feeling are the same.
