Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

Supercalafraga · 27/08/2013 17:02

Hi all,

Been having a read through and might jump on here if it's ok... my edd is end april but everyone on that thread seems way ahead of me!

Very bloated with swollen boobs and the tiredness seems to be kicking in. I look like I've picked up two stone! Shock

5+2

MacCrackles · 27/08/2013 17:07

Sorry for your loss really red/littlebairne. Fingers are all crossed for you. I can understand why you'd feel comforted by using a Dopler.

Glad Germany was fun Impatiently! The chance for lie-ins always to be warmly welcomed IME!

Feeling v tired today. 3+3

MacCrackles · 27/08/2013 17:09

DopPler. Ahum.

LongTailedTit · 27/08/2013 18:29

impatiently yep, I'm getting lightheaded already, every time I get up quickly I go a bit dizzy and get black spots in my eyes! It passes quickly tho.
I had a bit of nausea last week but not this week so far, just wind, wind and more wind.

YY to stats thread and Maybies! :) Could call the thread Maybies Stats?

MacCrackles · 27/08/2013 20:24

So you may recall I was concerned about a feint line on hpt yesterday (Clear Blue Plus). I now feel as if AF is on her way. Grrrrr. DH not keen to go to supermarket to pick up a test, I don't appear to be either as I'm still here typing ironing. Did any of you feel like this?

In other news, another website shows me 4+0, (rather than 3+3) so who knows!!

impatientlywaiting · 27/08/2013 20:32

MacCrackles the day before I got my BFP I was convinced AF was on its way. I felt like my cramps were getting gradually worse, and even took myself off for a bath in the huff. Next day I got my BFP and since then cramps have been on the whole really mild, maybe 3/4 times a day for about a minute at a time.
I'm sure that your feeling that AF is on its way will just be stretching pains. Although I'm impressed at your restraint - today is the first day since Thursday that I haven't tested (if I include BFNs then today is the first day in about a week and a half that I haven't tested) even though I've seen the line get darker I just like to reassure myself.

I'm saving myself for my second clearblue at the weekend, hoping to see that my conception weeks will have changed from 1-2 weeks on Saturday to 2-3/3+ weeks. When I was pregnant in July I did a CB test 10 days after i'd got my BFP and it still showed 1-2 weeks which as it turned out was the start of my miscarriage, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it change this time around.

impatientlywaiting · 27/08/2013 20:37

Tried to get info people had already listed in this thread. Apologies if there are any mistakes. Feel free to add to them.

MacCrackles · 27/08/2013 21:09

Thanks impatiently, good stats list! Hoping you are right with AF, or lack of! I will stop off at Sainsbury on my way home from work tomorrow if AF stays away.

Also realised that my spelling is awful .

McBaby · 27/08/2013 21:21

mccrakles a line is a line no matter how feint esp when its very early. Last time I got a feint line at 3 w 3d and you could barely see it digital ones still showed as negative. By 4w the digital test came up positive.

NannyPlumForPM · 27/08/2013 21:24

Hi all! Got my bfp today- clearblue reckons 1-2 weeks but I totally forgot when af was! I'm rubbish at remembering things :( what shall I say to go when asked?! And how accurate is clearblue date wise ??? Tia!

LongTailedTit · 27/08/2013 21:34

Impatiently - O M Geeeee, have you seen the graph that the March stat lady has done? Shock [http://postimg.org/image/matgxs3up/ pie charts 'n everything]

LongTailedTit · 27/08/2013 21:37

Gah - pie charts 'n everything

impatientlywaiting · 27/08/2013 21:39

Longtailed I did see it. I was briefly on that thread. She was amazing, did graphs, there was an interactive map flying around at one point. It sent my geeky side into overdrive.

Congrats and welcome Nannyplum. I would guess to get a postive HPT you must be fairly close to 4 weeks so would maybe just say you are that until they can tell you a bit more clearly at a dating scan?

EmJay9 · 27/08/2013 21:54

Hi and congrats to all the newbies. No stitch feelings today so feeling bit better bout that. I have had a nausea like feeling which comes and goes, still v tired with disturbed sleep though and v sore boond! Had phone call from midwife today and she's squeezed me in for a quick app on 9th Sept but she really didn't seem v friendly or easy to talk to Hmm

RosesInTheRain · 27/08/2013 22:37

hi, will join you if I may. DC2 or 3 depending how you see it as my last pregnancy ended in TFMR. This is pregnancy no.7 due to several previous mc. So I shall be mostly lurking until 12 weeks if I even get that far Hmm

Depending on the calculation EDD would be anything from 1st-6th May, got my BFP on Sunday. So bloated already!

RosesInTheRain · 27/08/2013 22:38

hopefully she'll be better in person EmJay :)

LoveWine · 27/08/2013 23:54

Hi everyone! Can I join as well? I just got my BFP, here are my stats:

LoveWine EDD 5/5/2014 DC1

I am not entirely sure what to do next I.e, call GP, etc. so any advice is much appreciated!

LongTailedTit · 28/08/2013 02:32

Welcome Roses and LoveWine :)

LW - I rang my docs this morning, I'm 5 weeks today and thought it was too early but rang anyway, they said that was fine and that they don't want to see me anyway, as they pass my details straight on to the community midwife who will come see me at home! V civilised.

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 28/08/2013 05:59

Hello all - nice to see lots of ladies from the August bus!

My sleep is getting a bit better but I am feeling very nauseous first thing- and so hungry later on! Already having trouble zipping my skirts up! I remember feeling I looked fat rather than pregnant for ages last time, can't wait for a bump!

OP posts:
YikesHereWeGo · 28/08/2013 06:34

I'm the same, jelly on the bloated front. Can't believe I'm looking so fat already at only 4 weeks Shock
Welcome to the new ladies - exciting!!!!!
roses - my last pg ended in TFMR too (14 weeks) and I had 1 mc before that, so I'm certainly taking each day as they come this time round and trying not to get too carried away. Can't wait to be 'out of the woods' though not quite sure when that will be. Will defo feel better after 12 week scan - if I get that far. Hope you're finding it ok this time round? Flowers

PixieBumbles · 28/08/2013 09:10

I have to admit I'm feeling bloody awful today. Really terrible headache, feeling queasy and absolutely exhausted. I'm at work at the moment (yes I know, Mumsnetting at work Shock...sshh don't tell anyone...) but I'd much rather be snuggled up at home Sad.

bouncysmiley · 28/08/2013 09:26

I'm so so tired. I don't remember being like this last time around. Maybe i'm getting old (or it could be a combination of pregnancy and a toddler!). Queasiness starting to kick in too...I'm going to bed straight after dd at the moment and still struggling at work! Anyone else completely zonked?

hamncheese · 28/08/2013 09:53

Both times I've had bfp I've been convinced af was coming imminently!

Cupcake11 · 28/08/2013 10:10

Hi all - do you mind if I join you? Got my BFP last Thursday and I think I'm due 1st May. My only symptoms have been sore boobs and spots. I rarely suffer with breakouts and the whole right side of my face is covered with them. Hormones!
This is my first by the way. I've been to see my doctor who just made a note of the pregnancy and told me to phone the midwife. I've got my booking in app with her for the 25th of September but then I've got a group midwife session tonight - has anyone ever been to one of these?
Also, is anyone considering going for a private scan before the 12 week one?
