Hi just caught up, congrats bamboozle on toby jack, and good luck HC sounds like up are def on the way.

Annie29 · 27/06/2006 13:49

Hi Girls,

Nothing doing here yet. This is my last week at work though, so I'm not too very much, just tidying up bits and bobs.
We MIGHT be exchanging on our flat this afternoon, and then completing by next Tuesday, but only on the one we're selling, which means moving in with a friend until the new one is ready to go. We need to get out of there though, as there is meant to be builders moving into the flat upstairs next week. So that'll be a pain in the YouKnow Where, having to move twice really. So I can't go popping just yet anyway. What a palava...

Jersey, sounds like you might be on your way too, after your show, and your practice run! Good Luck!!!

HC thinking of you, hope you are doing ok!!

Twirl, GOOD LUCK, you may well be next to drop x x x

Feel like LO has dropped as well. Everyone keeps telling me how huge I am. One of the PA's just told me second babies are always HUGE.... Great...

Take it easy everyone!!

Annie 37+5

AggiePanther · 27/06/2006 14:02

Ooh good luck jersey sounds like you might be next - mind you we've heard nothing from HC today yet so she may well be on her way I guess.
Midwife has just left- I burst into tears when she asked how I was so she's booked me into see the consultant on the ward on Friday - she thinks they may induce me due to my complications (spd, heart probs. So fingers crossed

puddytat99 · 27/06/2006 14:20

Hi everyone

Twirl - Good luck with your c-section on Thursday

Jersey & HC - Sounds like it might be between you two, as to who is next, unless Twirl beats you.

Feeling totally shattered today. Had really bad back ache all afternoon yesterday. Went to bed and everything seemed to kick off but nothing regular or really strong, just uncomfortable at front and back. Went quiet after 4/5 hours. Been to aquanatal to see if that helps. Has eased the backache, had a chat with mw and she thinks it all looks good for being very soon. 39 weeks on Thursday.

Hope everyone else is ok and coping well, going to put my feet up and watch Tim.

Shazeroo · 27/06/2006 14:50

Hello!
Sorry I haven?t posted for a while - I have been reading though! Congratulations to Jane and bamboozleslover on their babies! Hope everything is going really well for you! And good luck to everyone having shows and c-secs this week!

I went to a hospital appointment last night and saw the same midwife twice in a row?.!! I was told last week that I was 2/5 engaged and she told me yesterday I was 1/5 engaged ? so I said Oh, the baby slipped out then?. And she said no! It?s gone further in ? 1/5 is practically fully engaged! (is anyone else get confused by this? That 1/5 is more engaged than 5/5? Is that a bit backward??) So I said how long does it take from now til the baby comes out then? And she said it could be a couple of hours!!! So That sent me into a panic ? especially seeing as I?m not supposed to finish work til tomorrow and I haven?t had a show etc. I was getting some period pains and cramps on Sunday and last night but they didn?t last. But nothings happened yet and I even made it to work! I was really panicking last night as I don?t feel big enough or prepared enough for it to come yet ? but now I?m thinking ?bring it on? as I don?t know if I?ll ever be fully ready!!! (Along with loads of drugs too though!!!)

Anyway take care everyone!

pinkdolly · 27/06/2006 15:29

Afternoon-

Took delivery of my new car seat today, am a lot happier now that I have that.

So the race is on now between HC-Twirl+Jersey.
Unless Shaz or Puddy slip in there.

We should take bets on who is going to be next!

I think all I have left to get is some breast pads and some button up tops/nightshirts for breastfeeding.

Twirl · 27/06/2006 15:53

Pinkdolly - mothercare have a really good sale on at the moment and I picked up some fab breastfeeding pjs at the weekend - they had a lot of nightshirts in the sale too.

maewest · 27/06/2006 17:51

kayzed - to be fair it wasn't someone from work that made the comment. However, I don't think its sunk it yet with some of my colleagues that I won't be around, as people keep saying things like 'oh I must talk to you about...' and I say 'book in some time before Friday' and get the reply 'what this Friday?' Um yes, that's why my replacement is sitting at my desk and I'm clearing out my files! I have been with the company for nearly 6 yrs and am the longest serving member of staff, so prob seen as a bit of a fixture

pinkdolly · 27/06/2006 18:13

Twirl-

Thanx for letting me know about the mothercare sale. Am off out on Friday so will definatly be looking in there. (I am a bit of a bargain hunter).

lilianna · 27/06/2006 18:25

hi i'm really hoping someone is around. I just want to know what your show was like? sorry hate to ask but i have just had orange discharge.
sorry to go into detail but am a bit freaked out by it.
Thanks lilianna

spub · 27/06/2006 18:37

Liliana-
Mine was like a big mucousy plug with a pink tinge. It fell into the loo.
If you're at all woried, phone the labour ward at your local hospital.
Best wishes.

pinkdolly · 27/06/2006 18:43

I was just reading your posts about the mucus plug and I can honestly say that I can't remember seeing it with either of my girls.

Mind you, my waters didn't break on their own with the girls either. The midwife had to pop them, so maybe thats why.

(sorry that was today's bit of useless information)

spub · 27/06/2006 18:49

Pink - I had the plug but still needed the mw to break my waters for me (at 8.5cm dlated!!).

my waters broke at the pushing stage and the show was like blood tinged snot. i had the show about 4hrs before dd was born

Annie29 · 27/06/2006 20:52

Lilianna, I had a show two days before DS was born, and some more on the day before. It was like a big gunk of mucous, jellyish stuff, a bit orangy pink. You'll know if it is, sometimes you get just little bits, but if it really is the plug then there will be quite a lot of it, as it has to fill up your whole cervix bit... good luck!!!

Twirl, do you know if the mothercare sale includes prams and buggies??!!!! Good luck for thursday!!!

Maewest I also finish work this week yaaaaay,

Have a good night everyone

Annie 37+5 still

Twirl · 27/06/2006 21:13

Lilliana, when I lost my plug last time it was a big jelly like blob stained orangy/pink. I did have a fair amount of mucusy discharge for the few days before this though. It could just be the start of it coming loose.
Annie - the mothercare sale was advertised as up to 50% off selected ranges. There was definitely a lot of baby/toddler/maternity clothes on sale and toys, but I'm afraid as we already have pushchairs etc I didn't notice whether any were on sale. Perhaps you could check with your local store before dragging yourself shopping!!!
Just noticed that HC hasn't been on today....hmmm.... wonder if it is happening for her right now???
