Hi everyone,

Bamboozle- WOW! congrats hon, am soo pleased for you and little baby Toby.

Well, I have had a hectic weekend. DH wasn't supposed to be home as he had a duty for Sultan Show. But one of his friends had slipped threw the net and swapped places with him. So he surprised us by turning up on Friday evening.

Saturday, after DD1's ballet lesson we all headed off to the beach for a picnic, which was lovely. While we were there the air ambulance landed on the beach, which the girls thought was fantastic. (it was for a boy who had a neck brace on but he did walk out of the sea, so am sure he is fine, just precautions I think).

That night I couldn't sleep, had such a bad pain in my back and such pressure in my pelvis I thought I was going to explode. Could hardly move! (thought for one minute it might be early labour).

This morning went to church, ran the creche (only 4 kids today, and no poo, except for one little boy, who politly asked me to take him to the toilet.) Then went straight for another picnic, followed by church fun day in the park.

So two days of sitting on the floor at beach and park. Am totally shattered, my back is sore and my tummy still feels odd. But it was worth it, we had a good time.

HC- Are you still around or have you pooped yet?

Am excited about coming on here now, just to see if anyone else has had their LO.

Good luck girls!!!

35+5

pinkdolly · 25/06/2006 21:16

HC- Just re-read my post.

Should have been popped, don't really want to know if you have pooped or not. Sorry hon!

Fingers crossed for you HC, sounds like it could happen soon.

HumphreysCorner · 26/06/2006 08:42

Morning ladies

Pain gone now-wonderful what 2 paracetamol can do so had quite a good nights sleep until DH woke me up at 5am with his hayfever. Can't really complain at him though as it was me the night before keeping him awake.

We have some C-Sections this week don't we? Who is first?

pindolly-you have had a busy weekend. How can you sit on the floor? Even before I was PG I struggled to sit on the floor due to excess weight . Have lost 7lb in the past 2 weeks so under 13st again which means I've only put 2 stone on.

At the party my mum and sister in laws mum were saying that I'll be having the baby tomorrow-hope not as DD is at MIL's so don't want to leave her there. Can't do with a hyper child coming back to me when I have a newborn so need to have the baby either today, Wednesday or Friday then get home for BB on Friday and the football on Saturday. Oh, but I also need to keep my hair appointment at 12 o'clock on Wednesday-hmmm, do you think it will work out like that????..........................Nooooooooooooo.

Going to chill this morning while DD is at nursery so hope you all have a good day. Nice and cool, have managed to get my wedding ring on again.

Byee for now and hugs to all.

agalch · 26/06/2006 08:56

Morning ladies

Nice and bright here this morning. My kids finished up on Friday and are sleeping in so really peaceful here atm.My dd will be stirring soon and peace will be shattered and only one mindee today thank god!!

HC put your feet up and relax, sounds like you may not have much longer to go

Bamboozle well done and big hugs.Great name for your lo.xx

Re birthing ball,it can help in labour or just to get the head bouncing on the cervix to get things going/progressing.Worked for me and comfy to sit on in the last couple of weeks.

I can't believe that 2 of our girls have had their babies alrady
I feel as tho i still have weeks to go.I think it's because i don't know if i'm having my homebirth or even a vaginal delivery
I think once the decision has been made(week beg the 3rd July) i can plan things and get my head round what i will be doing hopefully.

I went to a friends 40th birthday party on saturday and i had the most fab time.Best night out in years.I also had 3 small glasses of wine which was very bad i know but i danced the whole night so i'm sure that helped the alcohol wear off.Friends kept saying i should not be flinging myself around(doing the timewarp etc)but i felt great,so glad i went.

Anyway have a good day ladies and hope you all are well.
xx

IamBlossom · 26/06/2006 12:47

CONGRATS Bamboozle! First of the Toby's to be born, when is mine coming?

Algach you rock star! I haven't got the energy to think about dancing at the moment never mind actually doing the timewarp. Feel really tired at the moment, I wish DS would stop waking up at 6am...

I've still got aaaaaages, so nothing to report.

ps .... just come back from docs this morning - went because i woke up yesterday with numbness to right side of my face turns out i've got bells palsy ....... like i need that right now ..... hope i don't look too strange in the photos with babe (when he decides to make an appearance)

HumphreysCorner · 26/06/2006 14:32

Oh deblaca-Bells Palsy is such a random thing to get but it does go away in the end. Keep your chin up and you will be fine in the photos.

Girls-I have had a mucousy show-TMI-like a GIANT bogey. It is going to happen soon isn't it??????? Am a touch scared now and shivering. PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER WOMAN!

Going to my mum and dad's for tea so think I will go early as will only worry on my own.

Catch yas later.

39+2!!!

spub · 26/06/2006 15:30

HC - any time now!! Omigod sounds like you have had your show. Good luck and make sure you keep us all updated.
Deblaca re the bells palsy. Did your Gp say how long the paralysis would last? On a practical/vainlevel - can you cuddle the baby into the affected side whrn you have the photo taken if need be?
Agalch - LOL at you timewarping when huge with child....
Have pent today doing last minute shopping for hospital and napping. Hopefully, it will all be over by this time on Friday!
Looks like HC will be next and I wonder who else will give birth before Friday?
Hope you're all managing the heat, aches, pains and sloooooooow passage of time!

nixnoo · 26/06/2006 16:32

38 weeks today- had MW appt...
she had a feel and said the dreaded words
"oooohhhh, this is a BIG baby."

So I am booked in for a growth scan on Friday.

She reckons it ia about 9lbs now, but she also said I shouldn't have any problems delivering it cos I am tall, and have a "nice pelvis" (ie: wide hips!)

Well at least I get to see LO again before it is born, although I guess I won't see much of it's face as it is partially engaged.

Don't want to breal any records!

oh, and some random information for you all:
Hackney has the highest birth rate in Europe!

Good luck HC - definitely on your way, lucky lady!
x

AggiePanther · 26/06/2006 18:22

Congrats bamboozles and welcome to Toby
Sorry to hear about the bell's palsy deblaca - hopefully it will go soon.
HC - sounds like it's really happening!! Good luck!!!

janeOT · 26/06/2006 19:01

Hi All

Congrats Bamboozle!!
Nixnoo groq=wth scan can be really inaccurate they scanned me the day they induced me and said Evie was 5lb 10!! 1lb out!!!! which is their margin of error apparently!

Ayhow, thanks for all you lovely messages! You'll have to bear with me struggling to find time to catch up on every1's progress and add msg myself!
Things going well here, my blood pressure has stabilised so can hopefully come off medication soon, Evies gained up and beyond her birthweight shes now 4lb 10 1/2 oz but still oh so tiny....Didn;t realised how dangerous pre-eclampsia is until I saw the consultant on Saturday I was really ill kidneys failing and all sorts, so ladies keep an eye on your blood pressures and protein!
Evies really good, hardly cries (The only person crying is me my nipples are SOOOO sore but slowly getting beeter) I think its coz shes feeding so much c/o her low birth weight!
Anyhow I'm sure your all bored of this now and desperate to be in the same position! They'll all come when their cooked

Love Jane and Evie xx

jom · 26/06/2006 20:38

Congrats and well done to Bamboozle! A great story to tell - exam in the morning - labour in the evening - all in a days work! Your birth sounded very positive, hope we hear lots more of those!

Good luck with you HC and anyone else who may be experiencing any activity.

37 weeks today, not too much to report just period type pain again in the early hours of this morning.

Take care all

kbaby · 26/06/2006 21:55

bamboozleslover - Your probably too busy to read this for a while. But Congrats on little Toby. Glad everything went well. Hope things settle down soon for you and you have some food soon.

Janeot - Glad everything is well again. Kamilosan is a god send for sore nipples send DH out for some.

Youll all have to start a baby thread soon in the Post natal bit with all these babies.

Hope HC is ok.

Anyway off now, I still have ages to go and not much to report apart from heartburn, insomnia and the odd dig in the ribs

Annie29 · 26/06/2006 22:08

Good Luck HC, sounds like it's on the way!!!!

Jane you sound like you're doing great...

Night night everyone, take it easy

Good luck HC, can't be long now.

This is my last week at work, handing over to my mat cover. Yesterday felt like i was talking nonstop, feeling a bit anxious that I won't get it all done in time, but know I'll feel better on Friday when I can just go home and switch off. Someone said to me 'well, you'll be around, she can just give you a call if there's a problem' . I don't think so! I want to spend the next couple of weeks focussing on getting ready to meet my baby, not discussing the finer points of project management!

pinkdolly · 27/06/2006 08:09

Morning Gals!

36 weeks for me today! Getting closer.

Kayzed am sitting here sipping my raspberry tea at the momont and finding it quite nice. Am just weird I think, even DD1 likes it. I have to save her a bit at the bottom of the cup.

Nixnoo- I second Jane on the growth scan. With DD2 I had one a week before she was due. They told me she was already nearly 8 pounds. She was born weighing 5 pounds and 14 ounces. So they were well wrong with me.

Jane am so glad everything is going well with you and baby Evie. You could try shoving white cabbage leaves into your bra for your sore boobs.

My bump feels hard as a brick this morning and really heavy, slightly achey. Also finding that my sides and back are aching too. I think Lo has definatly dropped and my belly is hanging off me now.

Well, I best go and start the day. Am feeling quite tired so dont think i'll be doing too much.
Have a good day girls.

Pinkdolly I'm with you on the 'bump as hard as a brick' Feels like it's going to drop out too - sometimes have to walk holding my bump up with my hands.
I don't mind the raspberry leaf tea either - provided I don't make it too strong. I find it a bit bitter if I leave it to brew for too long.
Well MW will be here in half an hour to discuss birth plan etc - lets hope she tells me that I'm about to go into labour or something - had a bath with clary sage last night but nothing happening so far

Twirl · 27/06/2006 11:48

Morning ladies, bumps and babies.
Nothing much to report here, 38+5 today and c-section due in 2 DAYS OH MY GOD! I am so scared now, still have lots to organise and not enough time to do it in. DH finally got the baby stuff down from the attic this weekend (talk about leaving it till the last minute!) so just off to give it all a clean now. Will pop back on later - hope someone else drops before me....

jersey · 27/06/2006 13:03

Afternoon, well had a practice run on sat night/sun morning! Had cramps/bad period pains from 10:30 till 1:00am and got up to get some painkillers as couldn't sleep. Then went straight into every 5 mins lasting a minute back pain and stomach tightening. Then in between back pains only. Woke up DH who said are you sure your in labour! Rang hospital who said I had to go in as under 37 weeks. Thought I would get there and be told I wasn't contracting, but I was you could see them on the monitor. Anyway there weren't strong enough and by 5:00am where going so eventually they let me home as I was dilating either on the understanding that if they start again I was to go straight back in as they think I will be very quick this time. Luckly I only live 10mins from the hospital or they wouldn't have let me go. Sunday evening I think I had a show so they must have been doing something, but as we don't have any childcare today, and DH has an interview tomorrow I'm not to go into labour today or tomorrow . Hospital said so long as I go after friday then we can use the midwife led otherwise I will be on the monitors/consultants again so fingers crossed.

Hope eveyone is ok as not had time to read the rest of the posts yet.
