hi girls i seem to be having false alarms every other day at the moment. Hopefully not to long now baby 4/5.
Still trying to get the house sorted. Hired a power digger at the weekend- bloody thing didn't work, so even longer till the garden is done and ds2 is due his 1st b.day party 22nd july (he'll be 1-23rd july).
Not much left to do in babys room. Anyway better go for now to collect ds1 from playgroup.
Take care
lilianna

Kayzed thanks a mill. That is all great advice, and I think you are right I will wait till he is out of nursery, the baby has been here for a few months, and he is 2, so after Sept. I think new baby, new bedroom, new bed and no nursery might be enough changes to be going along with for now....I think I've let the "oh all mine were potty trained by the age of two" comments sink in a bit too far, I must chill.

Just been to gym and walked for 30 minutes on treadmill, sweating like a goat. I think I'll go to bed for a bit now Grin

Where's Bumpy?

Bloss

Thanks everyone, I'll read all your advice later and definitely act on it.

Thanks guys

IamBlossom- Im not starting with DD 24 months yet either due to all the changes. Ive let her run around the house etc and got the potty out but not taken it to seriously. Im hoping that if I leave it to sept to start then it will be less work than now as theyll understand more by then.

I cant believe our thread is finally kicking off with the babies. Who wouldve though all that time back that we'd finally be here nearing D day

IamBlossom · 19/06/2006 19:03

Totally agree Kayzed I'm not fussed to be doing nappies either it was purely that I didn't want to hold him back!

KBaby, lets do a potty training thread in September - cos we are going to have so much time on our hands to be Mumsnetting.....NOT!!! Be good to go through the whole debacle with someone else though.........

koshka1984 · 19/06/2006 20:35

Hey everyone,

Spent ALL DAY in hospital today.

Went in at 9am to drop off my wee-jug (classy)
Waited till 12 for all of the blood, observations etc.
THEN! Was told protein V.High, and to stay in until the results were in for the latest jug at about 3.

Well...just got home now to be told to come back on Weds, protein still high as before.

Seems to me a waste of a bed in the hospital. But they did save money cos i did not get fed!

Did see LOs face in the scan though! Was sucking thumb!!!

Hey!

JaneOT has had the most beautiful little girl - Evie Maegan, 17.06.2006, 11;46, 4lb 6oz.

They are still in hospital as Janes BP is still high - she wants home ASAP but I've told her to wait as there are going to be so many days that you which you were not at home and someone else is going to do the cleaning - Well, maybe in the NHS!

Cant wait to meet your special little girl - Don't suppose you will get to read this far down the thread!!!

jom · 19/06/2006 21:11

Good luck OldieMum! Smile

Cute pic of your DS Kayzed, a good one to embarass him with later on in life!

Had my mw appt today and am booked in to be induced on my EDD (17th July) as I was told after DS not to go over next time. Seems real now! Although hopefully I'll go before that as I'm going for a VBAC and apparently there's a higher chance of success if you go into labour naturally. Time will tell.

Its definitley all coming together - the cot is up and 75% of the baby clothes are washed and sorted after finally arriving from Oz last week. Have organised most things for my hospital bag just need to put it all together (in the bag). Have even started having a few period type cramps a couple of times over the past couple of days - which I didn't have with DS so maybe this one will happen by itself. Here's hoping!

Hope you're all well and enjoying the slightly cooller weather.

Thanks for the update iPod!

bumpybel · 19/06/2006 21:16

Evening ladies!

Just spent ages catching up on all the news... cant believe Jane OT will have had her baby and Oldie mum wont be long. Good luck guys.x

Bloss, I'm here at last! Been feeling soo down in the dumps with these bloody period pains and back ache.. this is the twelfth day ive had them now and two weeks since my show. I'd like either for all the tummy aches to go away until my due date, or for it to get hardcore and move on to the serious business! The midwife at aqua natal said that a long preparation phase should mean a shorter labour, but i'm just getting fed up of constant tummy aches now.. and loads and loads of braxton hicks... rant rant rant! sorry!!!

Wish i knew what to expect next! Had a bottle of beer tonight and debating having another to try and chill out a bit. Wine is more my thing but the beer is ice cold and smells nice at the moment!

I'll be back on tomorrow...l going to catch up on BB!

Love to all and hope youre feeling better Kbaby

bumpybel · 19/06/2006 21:19

Ooh congrats Jane OT... hope alls well with you xx

spub · 19/06/2006 22:10

Hurrah! Welcome to Jane's little girl.
That's it; the floodgates have officially opened!
Hope you're all well!

AggiePanther · 19/06/2006 22:28

deblaca · 20/06/2006 00:20

Lovely news - Congrats Jane and Evie Meagan .....

agalch · 20/06/2006 06:47

Congrats Jane OT Grin

Glad your lo arived safely, can't wait to read your birth announcement.

pinkdolly · 20/06/2006 08:25

Morning girls,

Congrats to Jane and your little girl. How exciting that the first of our brood is already here! How many days till the next one?

Hope everything goes alright with oldie!

Am off into town this morning to get some more raspberry leaf tea. Think i'm addicted to the stuff, it's really nice. Am trying to limit myself tho, as your not supposed to have too much are you.

Also gonna check my weight coz I seem to be losing weight as opposd to be putting in on. At last MW appointment she said baby seemed right size, but it was a home visit and she didn't have her tape measure with her so she was guessing.

Have a nice day everyone. Hope you are all well and not feeling to huge.

lilianna · 20/06/2006 08:27

hi they say you are meant to lose some weight just before giving birth.

HumphreysCorner · 20/06/2006 08:50

Morning ladies

I think it is possible to lose weight at this stage as I have only because I feel so sick and one mouthful of food gets stuck in my chest-lol!

Good luck to Oldie as well and we have a few sections next week don't we?

Love to all.

Congratulations Jane, and Welcome to the world little Evie! Hope you are both well, and will be home soon.

Who's next then!? Koshka? Bumpy? Oldiemum? Jersey? Lilianna? Anyone???Good luck everyone!!!

Thought I had a contraction this morning on the crowded tube, but I probably just imagined it! Or it may have been a Braxton Hiccup. Nowt to worry bout, ladies! Still three weeks and two days to go...
Was thinking about hanging round in Harrods and hoping my waters break there, they might send me some nice gifts!! Apparently M&S send you flowers if your waters go in there!

Looks like it's going to be another WAY too hot day, take it easy everyone!!!
