I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

poor you tutti!!
I feel like that today but I think (hope) it's because I'm really bloated and constipated - oh the joys of pregnancy.....

peachygirl · 23/07/2006 20:20

I've been feeling a bit of a bloaty fish too! I've just discovered the beginings of stretch marks on my thighs, off to moisturise!

julezboo · 23/07/2006 20:53

Evening ladies!

I seen to have popped out today too, my skirt would zip up this afternoon, so I went and made myself bigger with a big dinner at TGI's yum!

I also have very awful back ache on my right lower side thankgod the midwife is coming tomorrow x x

MaybeBaba · 23/07/2006 21:14

Evening! It is my birthday today so have been out for tea and now feel very very fat! 9 weeks today and got gp appt tomorrow - will amount to nothing as they have to refer you to hospital - expecting to get appt through for when I am sunning myself in Spain (or rather sitting in the shade!)

maazaa · 24/07/2006 10:32

welcome julez! scan tomorrow for me! very nervous and excited. Had a bit of a splurge on clothes yesterday - nice tops in Next sale. Went for size up so as not to tempt fate before scan by buying maternity wear (silly i know). feeling bit sick this morning....bleurgh, but on school hols now and off to Devon on Friday for anniversary! hurrah!

maazaa · 24/07/2006 10:33

happy belated birthday maybebaba!!!

julezboo · 24/07/2006 11:56

Hey all

happy birthday for yesteday maybebaba!

Midwife has just been, just went through tht eusual stuff, she willg et me into to see consultant this week though and another scan the week after!! It all seems a bit more real now.

She put my dates back booo! EDD 26th Feb, but she said it didnt matter as I would more than likely be having a section at 35 weeks due to blood clotting disorder, So its looking like January bubs for us!

How is everyone today, i feel sick, after I ate breakfast, really cant win, usually i cant face it and get really ill around 11am, so promised myself i would make breakfast this morning, still feeling sick though!

hope your all well!

lots of love

cadbury · 24/07/2006 12:19

hi everyone!
Have been manicly busy for the last few days and I think it's all catching up with me now

I'm feeling very bloated now - even the loosest clothes I have are a bit tight. Nausea is a lot better now though. Just really kicks in when I'm cleaning my teeth.

After the scan last week, I felt able to tell more people so I don't mind who knows now. My dd told her class on Friday and is getting very excited about it all - ds still can't raise an interest - I'll give him time - he's had his birthday to wrap himself up in recently.

I have a dating scan next Tuesday (2nd)

Maazaa - is is actually your anniversary on Friday? It will be mine and dh's 10 year anniversary of getting together n Friday - and guess where we got together? Devon!! Its our actual wedding anniversary on the following Monday. I really must think of something to get him

Julezboo - really hope things go well for you this time - you have been through so much.

shanks313 · 24/07/2006 15:05

I had my first GP booking in appointment today and found out I ad protein in my urine so I have an infection...probably cystitis.

Managed to get a cancellation for my blood test so had that today too and my first midwife appointment is booked for tomorrow

teabags · 24/07/2006 15:20

Hi all, how you are all coping in the heat?

I had my booking in appt today, it was all very wishy washy. I was gone within 10 mins or so! When I was pg with ds I'm sure they spent a good 40 mins with me! I really wanted to hear the heartbeat and thought that would be possible at 10 weeks but she wouldn't do it, she said it was too early.

julezboo · 24/07/2006 16:22

I had mine today too teabag, she told me it was too ealry, however I have a doppler arriving tomorrow hehe and I will be trying to find it!

teabags · 24/07/2006 17:43

me too julezboo! I am waiting for one I ordered on Amazon! I think you can get a heartbeat at 10 weeks and I'm going to prove it!

teabags · 24/07/2006 17:59

I meant Ebay, doh !

julezboo · 24/07/2006 19:08

LOL teabag, a few girls of another board have picked up their babys heartbeat at just over 9 weeks, Im 9+4 today, so Im gonna sit there otmorrow for hours more than likely till i bloody find it lol (and probably go into a panic if im still sat there at 5pm when dp gets home still looking for it!)

ChaCha · 24/07/2006 19:35

Hello girls,

Wish i had the time to catch up on all posts but don't...any important news? How's everyone coping?

I nap with DS twice a day now and have very little 'get up and go', have also reached the 'i can't cook stage' and am consequently off to supermarket to stock up on convenience foods for a while. Still get quite sick and extremely tired. DH's b'day tomorrow and our anniversary Saturday - haven't even arranged anything

Cola flavoured fizzy sweets are very nice

MaybeBaba · 24/07/2006 20:09

Hi - had my apt with GP today - quite useful and managed to get midwie appt for this thursday for booking in - also got appt with dietician and blood lady - although they are in august. We are trying to be proactive this time - I had gestational diabetes last time and it is very likely it will reoccur so I have changed which hospital to go to - haven't told dh yet, but the logic is that the other one has more speciality as it is a big teaching hosiptal and so is better set up with all the specialists. It also has a midwife led unit on one side and the consultant based on the other side, so I have the best of both worlds - hoping not to have c-section as dd with be in school and not sure how I will get her there, but i have c-section it will be a few weeks earlier than due date.

julezboo · 24/07/2006 21:16

ChaCha - I much prefer cherry flavoured fizzy sweets myself !

Maybebaba - Did you have a nice birthday hun? Your gp sounds very helpful, My care is being delayed a bit since we moved which Im a bit anxious about, after having 5 mc's and one difficult birth at 31 weeks Im pretty high risk and pretty frightened! (someone remind me why we are doing this again lol?)

Anyway Ive had a fair busy day unpacking, Im suffering now, my back is sore (again) and I have a pain in my flower (sorry tmi!) Although it has eased alot and more like pressure! Not sure if its normal though - anyone else getting it?

Tommy · 24/07/2006 22:13

Evening all..... I got a letter today giving me an appointment with the consultant at the maternity hospital and I have no idea why..... My MW didn't mention I would get one nor did my GP - I'm a bit puzzled.
Do you think it's just because I'm old?
I did see the consultant with DS1 but second pregnancy was without problems and the miscarriage was over a year ago now so I'm a bt baffled as to why they have sent it to me.

maazaa · 25/07/2006 09:06

Hey there everyone - Scan today - keep your fingers crossed for me!

Cadbury - it's our first year anniversary this Sunday! I am really looking forward to the break away and although it's just three nights, I am getting quite excited about packing etc!!!

Tommy - perhaps your hospital automatically triggers consultant led care with your history - maybe worth giving them a ring?

Maybebaba - if it does happen, when will your gestational diabetes kick in? Does it mean your baby will be bigger (must stop watching Discovery Home and Health programmes!!!)

Babe · 25/07/2006 09:18

Scan yesterday and she didn't half push the probe thing into my abdomen. I was on the point of saying OW several times, but didn't want to distract her as she was measuring. The baby started to move around like mad, and can't say I blame it, you could almost see it saying 'Get OFF! Stop PRODDING me'

All measurements normal, although where I am the Nuchal stuff seems to be done differently (I'm going to have to get someone to translate it for me!).

By the way, I bought an AngelSounds doppler a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't find the heartbeat (would have been around 10 weeks) which freaked me out. Having seen how hard the gynae had to push the stick thing into my abdomen to get a reading I can sort of see why we might not have found it!

Tommy · 25/07/2006 09:21

thanks maazaar - will talk to MW today about it. The hospitla is so big I sometimes feel that no-one really knows exactly what is going on!!

maazaa · 25/07/2006 11:26

Hey Babe

I was so annoyed when I had my booking in appointment with midwife and she poked and prodded. Those little babies are obviously more robust than we think, but it's still quite scary. I have my scan this afternoon - silly question, but if I am wearing low rise trousers, do you think I will have to take them off or will they just push down waist?

Am SOOOOO nervous!

Babe · 25/07/2006 12:14

I wore a wrap skirt and the doc just told me to take off my knickers and pull my skirt up. Being English I still feel embarrassed about being asked to remove any clothing even by a doctor, but she really needed access to quite low down towards the pubic bone, so I guess it was a good idea.

All the best with your scan x

babydriver · 25/07/2006 12:29

Hi all! Just a quick post. Had my scan and booking appt yesterday, and all seems to be well thank goodness. Good deal of prodding around but not too uncomfortable. (Maazaa, I was wearing a skirt which I unzipped and shoved down to pelvic bone, seemed to do the trick.)

I've now told people at work, which is good as I was keen to, plus a number of them had guessed as I'm already getting a bit of a bump. Will have to get into the mat stuff very soon!

MaybeBaba · 25/07/2006 12:56

Sneaking on at lunchtime in work!

Julezboo - birthday was fab - did no cooking - lunch with friend and tea at mums (dh working)and brother was up with buba (8 months and teething!).

Mazza - the diabetes thing should not kick in until the 2nd or even 3rd trimester - it does mean big bubs as they feed off the sugar you eat (which includes that from pasta and the like!), so on sugar free diet (after I have eaten these biscuits!!!!). DD was 10lb 14oz and a c-section - would like to try and avoid that again if can, but seeing as I was living on cakes and sweets last time I can see why she grew so big!
