hi everyone, you've all been very chatty!

well my wedding dress has arrived and its lovely, not quite what the woman looked like in the pic but im a lot fatter than her ! lol glad its sorted tho so i can just get on with the rest of the planning and not worry!

babys had a quiet few days think he doesnt like the heat as i dont, hes also taken to kicking towards my back so i dont feel as much!

as for the temp in london, i pity myself, its horrible here it reached 37 here today and i just cant bear it any more, its driving me mad, thank god its cooling down a bit at night so i can sleep at least but i cant do the housework etc as im to tired and i get dizzy if im up for too long, so dirt piling up here too. dotn even have a garden to escape to so its just a case of sitting in with curtains shut and windows open for me, wish we could afford an air conditioner!

right, what else was tere, oh yeah FB congrats on your little girl, sorry it wasnt a duck. when i was first pg dd had told me 'baby' pointing to my tummy before i even knew (she must have been about 16month) and when i asked boy or girl she said duck, in middle of mothercare, assistant found it highly amusing and said she'd pay a lot of money to see that!

Good Morning all !

Well its good to see the temperatures dropping at last all over the Country .. EXCEPT HERE grrr.... I'm in Kent and basically the Map of the Country is yellow today apart from the South East which is still bright apparently its only going to reach the dizzy heights of 90 degrees today .. oh joy !

Debz99 · 20/07/2006 08:07

Stacey - glad your dress has arrived. It must be a big relief.

I hope most people managed to get a decent nights sleep last night. It was certainly cooler here than it's been for a while.

Is anyone else getting aches at the bottom of their bump? I seem to have expanded quite suddenly (the trousers that fit me last saturday don't fit today!) so wondered if these pains are stretching muscles? It's not very painful, just uncomfortable. Am I normal?!

Morning all,

Raining here bring back the sun... please!!

Stacey I am so pleased your dress arrived and that it is OK for you What a weight taken off your mind!

I can't believe DS leaves his nursery tomorrow, he is so ready for school and the extra challenges it will bring, but at the same time, he is still my baby boy, it doen't seem right for him to be starting on the path that will lead the rest of his life already. Why can't he stay young and innocent for just a little bit longer?

Anyway, hope you all have a nice day, and if any of you have some sun, send it up here please

No it needs sun, it is foggy and muggy as hell, and of course wet, yuk yuk yuk! It wouldn't be so bad if it thundered, cleared the air and then let the sun burn the clouds and fog away, but nope, it is just drizzling and horrid.

I know I should stop moaning, but I am pregnant and hot, and so I deserve to have a whinge I reckon!! LOL

FoghornLeghorn · 20/07/2006 09:22

Stacey, thank god your dress arrived safely. You can concentrate on all the last minute bits and pieces now
It's my birthday today and I'm sat at home on my own working Feel all sad and lonely. Picking DD up at 1 though and we are going to see my new nephew/DD's new cousin. She keeps calling him big cook ben from big cook little cook, bless her!
Not finding the heat too bad, its just at night time when i'm exhausted and just want to sleep but can'tbecause it is way too hot still its get me mad.
I'm 22+2 today and can feel kicks every day, can also feels some movement on the outside and DH even felt it the other day - the kicks are really really low down, right in my bikini line. Am so tempted to find out what we are having but equally am not, think we would be disappointed in ourselves for finding out, plus my 2 BIL's have found out what they are having in August & October so will be nice to have a surprise in November

NatalieJane · 20/07/2006 09:27

Happy birthday FHLH Enjoy the morning on our own, and then party it up this afternoon!!

When is your scan?

FoghornLeghorn · 20/07/2006 09:30

We had our scan last week but our hospital has a policy not to tell patients what they are having but there is a place about 20 minutes away where we could pay to have a 3D scan and find out. I am tempted and would like to know for getting organised etc but also loved the surprise we had with DD, think I will just buy boys and girls bits but make sure i keep the receipts.

NatalieJane · 20/07/2006 09:35

Oh I see, I thought I remembered you having your scan, sorry I find it really hard to keep up with everyone!

You are braver than me, I don't think I could cope not knowing the sex! LOL

Debz99 · 20/07/2006 09:38

NJ I would gladly swap, the sun has just burnt the last of the clouds away and it's hot and sticky here now. Sorry Stacey I'm pleased you dress has arrived safely and that you are happy with it.

NatalieJane · 20/07/2006 09:41

The sun isn't doing any burning here

Debz99 · 20/07/2006 09:46

Take it away NJ its not nice here anymore .. Can someone please turn the heat off !

NatalieJane · 20/07/2006 10:07

I think the worst thing about it here is that it is so dark, I have big bay windows in my living room (where I am sat now) so you couldn't possibly flood a room with more light from outside, and yet here I am sat with the light on because it is so grim and grey

NatalieJane · 20/07/2006 10:08

The fog has lifted a bit though, it is just slightly misty up on the hills.

amyjade · 20/07/2006 10:33

Happy Birthday Foghornleghorn ! it's my birthday too!!

saralou100 · 20/07/2006 11:23

happy birthday, birthday girlies!!!

it's a lovely sunny day here today, we had a big thunderstorm in the evening which seems to have cleared up nicely, so although we have beutiful blue skies it's not too hot today... i may even venture out of the house later!!

spent 2 hours sorting out upstairs yesterday evening, sorted loads of stuff another box to charity shop and more rubbish, yet it looks worse than before i started.. i don't understand!! see how i feel later, hopefully i can get somewhere this evening... it's ridiculous the amount of clutter we have acumulated in 4years!! or even the 2 years we have lived in this house!! have talked dp into sellling all his war magazines on e-bay.. only i get the pleasure of making a catalogue of them all 1st!! dp is getting on my nerves at the moment!!

Delia · 20/07/2006 11:34

happy birthday fhlh and amyjade. hope you enjoy your day.

I've just wilted reading all the messages from the last few days as have been hiding in the coolest part of the house ignoring every other room! have taken to eating ice cubes!

It's a bit cooler today but still think i'm going to melt by the time we get to 1.00 and really am not interested in food at all!

Stay cool ladies!

Happy Birthday FoghornLeghorn and AmyJade - hope you have wonderful days

Much cooler here today thankfully as was feeling really grumpy in the heat. Seeing the mw this afternoon so hopefully her palpation will reasure me its only one! Got to that stage (huge bump) when everyone keeps telling me "not long now" and then looking really shocked and telling me it must be twins when I say only til Halloween at least! Really don't think its two just a big baby as per usual. Did think about taking up smoking this time round to get a 7 lber instead of a 10 - only kidding Talking of smoking was out in a pub for the first time in ages (ie since before they brought in the smoking in public places ban) last week and it was so nice to not be in a smokey atmosphere.

Had an awful time last night with one of our baby kittens - he got shut in the washing machine and washed . Thankfully DH heard him not long after the machine had started and by some miracle was able to open the door and rescue him. Been at the vets this morning and all seems well - phew.

Cool thoughts and many ice cubes to you all.

CattyB · 20/07/2006 12:01

Virtual party - top idea.

Putting on the stereo and grabbing a pretend cocktail and nibbles as I write x
