Morning ladies, hope your all well and blooming nicely.
I cant seem to keep up with who's doing what on ere, I forget as soon as I start to reply so forgive me if I get a little confused.
NBG, I definately havent had any BH's yet then? because these are more like twinges that I sometimes get and not often at all. My bump goes hard but like Arabica I dont feel anything other than that. Know it sounds weird but I want a BH so can know what they feel like to prepare myself a bit.
Aprilgirl, bet your excted to see your man its gone really quickly, is he back for good now?
All this talk of clothes makes me want to make some more purchases, loving the wrap dress over the trousers idea, bought what looks like either a long top or a short dress from H&M and it makes my bump look really lovely. My friend at work is 11 weeks pg and is showing already and has come in a lovely black dress from Next Directory, am going to order me one today, its so pretty and only £24.

Well DH really annoyed me yesterday, our antenatal classes clash with one of the World Cup England Games and he told me he cant miss the match, Angry Shock Angry how rude? Its the final class of 3 and he thinks he will know everything by then (YEAH right!). Decided to take my mom with me as she will be at the birth too and she's ecstatic. I'm just glad I'm not due in June as he would probably say, 'Oh bab dont go into labour, the game is on in 10 minutes and I cant miss it!' - can you imagine??

aprilgirl1 · 27/04/2006 12:47

no BigHotMama not for good, just for 4 days Sad but when he goes back its only for 10 days then another 4 days off, so it aint too bad!! pick him up at airport at 7 tonight xxx

BigHotMama · 27/04/2006 13:01

Aprilgirl, enjoy GrinWink and make sure he pampers you LOADS!

jayjaybaby · 27/04/2006 13:17

thought i'd let you knbow ive taken up knitting and im addicted but means i spend loads of time sat down
and i listening to my takt that greatset hits colllection cause i cant find original cds to listen too whilst i tackel my ironing pile

Nbg · 27/04/2006 15:55

BHM,a Is your dh physcic? England might not get that far!!! Shock Grin

Have just got back from MW. Everything is hunkydory although the urine sample picked up something but they're keeping an eye on it anyway.
Just starting to stress now about getting a new team of MW's when we move.

Vertbaudets's bits are really nice but I have had bad problems with their delivery. In that it takes an age for them to come so I'm quite reluctant to buy again.

BigHotMama · 27/04/2006 16:03

Lol NBG, Grin he said its the last qualifying game before the quarter finals so its a game they will definately play - BUGGER! Thats what you get for marrying a football obsessed fanatic. (Sad - he knows the dates of all the games already)
Did you take them some chocs at your appointment?
(if not you can forward them to me ha!)
JayJay, what you knitting then? Something for the bab? I get too impatient to do anything that requires concentrating for longer than 20 seconds!
Just placed an order with Next, £120 worth of summer clobber on its way! Hoping thats me done now. Smile

Nbg · 27/04/2006 16:42

£120!!! I don't like the fact you can't try their bits on before buying but they do have some good stuff.
I took them a planted flower arrangement. It had lillies in, a little yucca tree and some other flowers but it means they can keep it then.

BigHotMama · 27/04/2006 16:51

Its really good because I order them from the catalogue, they get delivered to my local Next store by Tuesday and I can either try on in the shop or bring home then if anything dont fit they have it back and send it back for me! Everything I've bought has fit because their sizes are quite generous and have room for extra belly too. And I dont have to pay until end of May wehey! Grin
Hope your new midwife is as nice and helpful, I've had different ones each time and never seen the same one? Sad

Nbg · 27/04/2006 17:27

MW was also talking to me about labour.
She said expect this one to be born quicker (which I knew) roughly half the time of your first and half the time for pushing.

Sounds good to me!

olivo · 27/04/2006 19:13

Evening all! all this talk of clothes makes me think i should be going online and finding something too. Am mostly relying on my sister-in-laws hand-me-downs at the moment!
saw my gp today - was meant to be going next week but have picked up a cacky eye infection Sadso managed to combine next weeks appt with this - even though I'm feeling the movements and things, i still find it sooo reassuring to hear its heartbeat.everything else was ok too phew! got antibiotic drops for my eye, fingers crossed it will clear up soon!

hope everyone is ok

nbg - good news about your future internet connection! Smile

PinkTulips · 27/04/2006 21:20

o god, all this talk of clothes is bringing me out in a cold sweat. dd's christening is in june (embarressingly late i know) and i desperately want something nice to wear but can't spend a decent amount on something i'll probably never wear again. scouring e-bay in the hope i'll see something dirt cheap that i can get my dad to bid on for me.

went down to hosp to book my appointment for next week and the senior midwife got majorly flustered that i'd have to wait til next then to see consultant, seemed seriously worried and i got a massive lecture about making sure to come in if anything starts to hurt or bleedShock really starting to freak out now, especially as we're away this weekend to talkm to priest about dd's christening a 2 hour drive away.

jayjaybaby · 28/04/2006 09:15

yes im knitting a scarf to practice then im doing a boat neck sweater then a pretty little eyelet dress

by the way cant beleive you spent 120 in next try there clearance shop you save loads and they do maternity im well jealous cant wait til i get materinty allowance
im gonna pamper my self like never before

lunavix · 28/04/2006 09:22

I bought some bits off ebay and am feeling better. Maternity jeans, they're cropped and from next, but the bottoms are turn ups (think they were the 'in' thing for pg people last summer!) I really liked them so finally found a pair in size 10. Look huge thoguh Shock

Also got some brand new next wooden mules, with a pink leather band and buckle going across the toe. Hopefully will keep my feet aired during the summer!

Coriander73 · 28/04/2006 09:28

...Hijack...

Pucca..a boy huh?!!! Congrats..:o

I'm one of only two ladies on our thread who aren't finding the sex out till d-day...quite tough though as naturally I'm curious!!! Hope you are feeling well.

aaaah just ordered some summer clothes from Vertbaudet... what little they had in stock. hopefully they'll show up so that I can leave the house.

I had a MW appointment this morning (they are supposed to come to my house) but neither one of the two didn't show up and didn't call either Sad.

Nbg · 28/04/2006 12:49

Thats a bit pants KG.
You've been brave ordering from Verbaudet!
Have a look at my dilema thread about snowboarding next year. Don't know what to do!

I've just found this site for anyone thats interested.
\link{http://www.drfoster.co.uk/localservices/objectlist.aspx?w=25\Dr Foster} It gives you info about the maternity services, facts and figures for the hospitals in the UK.

Arabica · 28/04/2006 13:15

Good link NBG, v interesting!
Had my 26wk check today, heartbeat loud and clear. I have been referred to the physios for my back problem, as I can't afford to keep visiting my chiropractor privately. They also took my bloods (for iron count and some kind of screening needed prior to getting anti-D). Also discovered that my c/s is likely to be done at 38wks--ie, around 19 July. So I am definitely having a July baby, but I'm going to stay here where I know everyone (or feel as though I do!). I get a firm date at my 34wk appt.
It's so exciting!

kitegirl · 28/04/2006 13:39

what thread nbg?

Nbg · 28/04/2006 13:51

\link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1375&threadid=168373\Here KG} You maybe able to give a good POV.

That is exciting Arabica. You'll probably be the first then Grin
My MW told me to look on there for details about the hospital I will be changing to.

Arabica · 28/04/2006 15:02

Hope you sort out the holiday dilemma. I'd love to go on a holiday but I don't think we will be able to afford one until approx 2020!
Information for my hospital was a bit out of date BTW.

jayjaybaby · 28/04/2006 15:16

why has my girl not been added to the stats list have i got to copy it in
Sad im really not clever with computers
been cleaning like a mad woman all day and been baking im never getting up at seven again it feels like its at least six o clock
ive even colour coordinated my other halfs wardrobe

i think i might be going mad

kitegirl · 28/04/2006 15:31

wow Arabica how exciting that you know the birth date already!

We are deliberating whether to go for an elective and be done with it. If medical reasons (which I can always find mind you) it would be covered by dh's health insurance so could go to a posh private hospital and watch satellite telly for 4 days with a herd of nurses and midwives on my beck and call. But a part of me wants to give VBAC a go. I won't dare start a thread on this as I know how it'll go Grin

thanks for the link Nbg!

jayjaybaby · 28/04/2006 15:44

btw congratualtions arabica you'll be able to tell us all about it my baby will be like a whole month behind

does it make it all seem abit more real

BigHotMama · 28/04/2006 16:33

Hi everyone, hope your all ok! Really feel preggy today, my belly is looking huge and the top of my bump is tender, oh and I got heartburn too. Got to muster up some energy to go to an 18th birthday party tonight, and then try and decide what I can wear?
JayJay I think your losing it girl! Haha sounds like you got lots of time on your hands, wish I had some! Bit sick of work now, just want to break up 10 weeks today & counting.
C-Section just scares the hell out of me! At least you know when your having it Arabica, you can prepare yourself! Dont want to think about birth yet! Far too scary! Shock
Have booked 2 days off in May to go to Hoar Cross Hall Spa and Hotel, am getting pampered to the max, they do an E'spa Pre Natal Body exfoliation and Massage, and I get a free facial bliss! Well cant go abroad this year, so this is the next best thing and DH is paying for my treatments bless...(think he wants rid of me really!)
Hope you all have a nice bank holiday weekend x x
