rant away sweetie, sounds like you need one. and as for tired i haven't had a late night in a long time and i'm shattered and it sounds like you have way more to tire you out. that midwife sounds awful, its a wonder some of these women qualify to take care of women in such a fragile condition when they so obviously have no idea what their doing.

melsy · 21/05/2006 20:44

pt I was relating to your posts re dh , mines been getting on my last nerve the last few weeks. Im a mad hormonal nutter right now and weve been screaming at each other nightly. Im on the verge of violence , although a smack round his arms may be is considered that already Blush. WHATS WRONG WITH ME!!!!!

Anyone else look at the bump and their whole insides turn over with anxiety??!!!

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 20:51

Thanks girls and Melsy, offer right back at you! It's a bit shit when your tired isn't it and can't even be arsed to do the things you know will make you feel better, like going to bed or getting a relaxing bath...i have an awful habbit of when i'm feeling low or really tired, overdoing it even more by trying to complete a job i haven't got a cat in hells chance of doing! Which makes me feel even shitter!
Fortunately i have my dh who although annoys the hell out of me when i'm ok insists on me going to bed early every night to the point where he will almost paddy with me to get me to go to bed. Like i say lovely when they are making excuses for you why the house looks like a bomb site, but not so good when your fine and dandy and trying to be palmed off to bed at 7pm!

Any consolation my sister has just been over and when i opened the door (haven't seen her for 3 weeks) says uurrrgghh your really fat now aren't you, put it away! I could have f*ing smacked her...not the maternal type!

jayjaybaby · 21/05/2006 20:54

melsy · 21/05/2006 20:55

PinkTulips · 21/05/2006 21:02

i know melsy, i've bitten dp's head off a fair few time over the last few months and i threw the remote at him the other night Blush thats what sparked the big row, he's a bit of a manic depressive and is in a slump at the minute coz hes out of work but the other night he actually had the nerve to announce to me at 8pm that he was so tired after his 'busy' day (read had to pop into rent allowance office in morning- 30mins and had to sit in the car with dd who was asleep while i tackled the weekly shop) that he was going to have a nap before BB! i'd been on the go all day, and every day recently, so i lost it!

it did clear the air though and he's been much better behaved since Wink

they do have a knack for winding us up in our hormonal state don't they?

dressedupnowheretogo · 21/05/2006 21:04

its jayjay by the way im inspired by my leaking boobs

tellme about it im 5'8 and i now weigh 16 and a half stone and i carry my weight and people keep telling me im all bump which is true as i can still get all my old clothes on and do my trouser zip ups half way and get my old tops on but how much bigger are we gonna get ?

people are so rude and why is it the world wants to talk to me now im pregnant sad or what

is bb full of mental freaks or what i feel so normal

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 21:04

My sister bloomin annoys me though i can hack it off idiots who don't know any better but seriously should sisters especially be a bit more intune! I have high expectations....

Thanks JJ will keep a hold of that.

So mine aren't the only ones heading in a southernly direction then, and this is before bambino....GREAT!

melsy · 21/05/2006 21:07

yesss they sure do, I sometimes think , why are you taking this sooo personally , IM just ranting , let me rant godammit, let me get it out , dont rise to it and add fuel, but NOOOOOO.

corr IM having a right one this evening.

Glad yours cleared the air pt , are you normally more calmer with each other ?

Thanx for the belt tip jj, I wondered if Id have to wait for physio or wether somoene at my surgery could get me a belt suport, my sis gave me hers , but its XXL , so wayyyy to big.

PinkTulips · 21/05/2006 21:07

btw as for the anxiety, just wait til there's a little newborn looking at you and you realise how good we have it when they're all bundled up inside us! or when he learns to roll over/off the bed, crawl towards stairs, run towards stairs, open doors to sharp things...... it never ends!

PinkTulips · 21/05/2006 21:12

nope, the opposite actually, we normally blow up more often and have great make up sex (sorry TMI) and are grand the next day but he leaves it go alot longer when i'm pregnant as he laughs most of my ranting off as hormones, even the stuff he's supposed to take seriously! we're quite an explosive couple in general but we've never gone to sleep on a fight, it all blows over quite quickely as a rule.

melsy · 21/05/2006 21:16

sex, whats that ???!!!

We're quite fiery too, both quite strong minded and dont give in easily.

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 21:18

Cheers PT so now i am having visions of the baba falling down the stairs...only kidding...well i'm not but i'm not that sensitive...YET
I'm totally milking the hormone thing, dh always been the more emotional one and at times i have felt like a frickin stone keeping everything together in a calm and orderly fashion, so now i blow up and he just has to sit there and take the grief..mmmmwwwwwaaaaahhhhh Grin

PinkTulips · 21/05/2006 21:23

lol frodo, paybacks a b*tch Wink

i don't have to have visions of babies falling down stairs, dd tries her best to give me the live show on a daily basis!

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 21:35

Too bloody right, the crap i've had to listen to from him, the big girl!

YellowFeathers · 22/05/2006 13:00

Afternoon all!

Melsy in answer to your Q
"Anyone else look at the bump and their whole insides turn over with anxiety??!!!"

I didn't

until last night!

I was sat in the bath and I just thought to myself
oh shit I'm going to be having another baby in 12 weeks time! Wtf am I going to do?

Am crapping myself even more now as my mum thinks I might be aneamic. She commented yesterday that I had really dark circles under my eyes and she checked inside the eyelids which are quite pale apparently [sigh]. So I hope that they don't want to repeat my bloods if I am.

Frodo, I'm another one thats suffered with anxiety. It started when dd was 2 weeks old. I've told the MW about it but since we're moving areas soon I won't have the same team so I don't know what they'll do or not do to monitor it. Tbh I just hope it doesn't come back as bad as what I had it.

Arabica, all the best with the scan today Smile
xxxx

frodofitz · 22/05/2006 13:24

LOL YF didn't you just say, 'this is not anemia this is carrying an extra stone plus on your front and can't sleep for s**t...or does she know her stuff too much?

Don't worry too much about anything, it's one of the things i have decided to do (she says!) Met with a girl from work before she went to work this morning (had to drop dh off at work at 07.30) and she was telling me what was going on in the office and i just said, you know what don't tell me cos it will piss me off and i can't be bothered stressing...just like that...it was so easy...then i went to mothercare and spent small fortune as per usual (pay day today woo hoo)
I'm sure your a wonderful mummy already YF and the fact your about to have another although will test you at times will just demonstrate again how unselfish you are in wanting to share your life and make all those sacrifices for that tiny little person. (you can tell the prozac has kicked in can't you!)

Something really wierd did happen this morning though and you lot have probably felt this before but i was driving along and i felt a prod by bambino so i put my hand over the area and swear to god i felt the outline of something small, like a hand or something...it was gone again before i could take in what it was but does that really happen and at this stage???

YellowFeathers · 22/05/2006 13:47
Grin Sadly my mums been a nurse since the dinosaurs roamed the earth so I fear she may be right. I may just refuse repeat blood tests and live off Spinach and Steak.

As for the movements I get that all the time now. I actually felt him move right down into my pelvis the other day so I had a poke about and he moved back up in to a really strange position as I and dh could see his head! I'm always getting feet and hands shoved out though and they bloomin well hurt!
