3 Cheers for broadband Grin
You do realise you will never ever ever step away from the computer!

Whereabouts in the US are you from eeny?

eenywifemum · 19/05/2006 14:41

I know I am going to have to use willpower now!! NOT my finest feature! :) Like now... housework is beckoning...

I'm from St. Louis, on the Mississippi - haha I think I spelled that right! There is a song we learn in school when we are little to remember how many S's and P's there are and I never paid attention!

I moved here 5 years ago when Salamander and I got engaged - he is English.

YellowFeathers · 19/05/2006 14:43

I remember it!
M-I double SS I double SS I double PP I !

(I think Grin)

eenywifemum · 19/05/2006 14:48

then I got it right!! it must have sunk in without me realising it! See children's brains are little sponges!

Right - here is the old willpower then... I MUST go do some laundry!

lunavix · 19/05/2006 19:52

Hi everyone!

I'm officially two ounces below having put on a stone...At least it's just a stone is all I can think! If I can try to limit it to one more stone it'd be lovely!

crikey katylou I thought ds felt big at 7lb14 Grin

PinkTulips · 19/05/2006 21:55

don't talk to me about weight! was at my parents last week and my parents and i were chatting about the fact that i seem to be so much bigger than at this stage with dd, my dad was saying he thinks i'm definitely further than the scan dated me as i'm so big and my mom turned to him and said 'yes but you have to remember, she was alomost a stone heavier to start with this time, that's alot you know'. cheers mum!

just spent the whole afternoon cleaning and sorting the bedroom for baby and i'm absolutely crippled now, dp was a total sweetie and gave me a massage though, looks like all the screaming at him i did last night sank in Wink

just got the worst cramp in my leg, wouldn't go away no matter how much walking and stretching i did.

jay-jay, you must be so annoyed! olivos suggestion of getting a relative to employ you is a good one though, do you have someone who could help you out?

frodofitz · 20/05/2006 07:19

Morning all, is anyone else up? Watching Batman with DSS (my own abbreviation for darling step son)and unfortunately finding it difficult to retain my attention and diverting questions of when DSS can go in the Batman aeroplane! I'm tempted to say next week but i know he will hold me to it!
DH in bed lazing it up, thinks that cos i'm not at work at the moment i should get up at the weekend too...forgetting of course that i have got up all week to take him and pick him up from work!
Talk about weight issues, because i had horrendous morning sickness 8-22wks the only foods i could hold down were Greggs sausage rolls and hot chocolate so i put a good stone on anyway on top of that i stopped smoking in the August before i found out i was pregnant in the Dec..then to read that any weight gain will come now i was mortified, hence the melons for breakfast and trying to be a bit more controlled! DH supportive though and says he loves my wobbly bum...yeah cos that makes me feel better!!!!!!

PinkTulips · 20/05/2006 12:00

hey frodofritz, poor you up at the crack of dawn. dd tends to wake at 6 or 7 aswell but she's little enough to pull nto bed with us until a slightly more sociable hour, was dp's turn to get up with her anyway though so i got to be a lazy cow to make up for all my hard work yesterday, have only crawled out of bed a half hour agoBlush

eenywifemum · 20/05/2006 14:43

I'm another one who has slept in late today - I know my days of doing that are numbered!

PinkTulips I can totally sympathise with you about that weight comment! I would have really been annoyed! I'm sure she meant well but...! Now that I am not throwing up so much I have to actually think about what I eat as I very much want to get my figure back after the bouncing boy is born. So much pressure!! So it sounds like all of us are worrying about that right now, probably because this is a time in pregnancy where you do put on a lot! We'll do it!

PinkTulips · 20/05/2006 15:34

the most annoying thing about the comment was that pre-pregnancy she was always ranting on that i was too thin and needed to gain some weight! you can't win with mothers can you, lol.

i've no excuse anyway, had nine months to lose it before i got pregnant again but was using bf-ing as an excuse not to, now i'll have twice the work to do after this one.

MN is so quiet today, the one day i have nothing else to be doing theres no-one about!

BigHotMama · 20/05/2006 18:26

Hi ladies, thought I'd quickly catch up on the latest as was having withdrawals not being on here for a few days lol.

Hoar Cross Hall was lush, my all over E'spa body massage was so relaxing and my skin felt gorgeous afterwards. Got a bit embarassed when she started massaging my boobs and bump though, I didnt expect that and she didnt tell me beforehand so I was laying with my eyes closed (nearly snoring my head off!) and when she started on my belly i jumped as I'm ticklish, then i nearly started laughing when she did my boobs! She put on a mud mask all over then wrapped me in giant cling film then I drifted off to sleep for 15 mins before showering it all off. Girls, if you get a chance go have one done, its total bliss.

Thanks for all the nice comments said about my little baba, just imagine how much bigger them cheeks gonna grow by the end of my pg.

NBG I think all that excitement at the concert must have made you bit light headed chick, glad you had good time! Was the robster there in spirit?

Welcome Frodo, sorry to hear your having a bit of a rough time with your hormones, hope coming on here will help you out cuz its been great for me so far!

Forgotten who mentioned the snoring, (JayJay??)but YES I am snoring very very loudly and my breathing during my sleep has become very erratic and irregular apparently. Have been wearing the breath rite strips but they only help it a little. My friend woke me up a few times during our stay at Hoar Cross because she couldnt sleep, and she was wearing ear plugs bless!

I've put on a stone and a few pounds, so am hoping I wont put more than 2 stone on overall cuz I'm already a big lass, but must admit its all belly and havent put weight on anywhere else. Getting really breathless doing housework and just general walking, have to take my time and not rush.

Sorry its a bit of an essay, hope your all doing well and speak you Monday.

Hoping to catch some nice bargains from Babyshow tomorrow x Grin Grin

frodofitz · 20/05/2006 19:22

Evening all and thanks for the welcome again. It has made me feel better coming on here to be honest because as much as i have supportive people around, they just aren't in the zone...do you know what i mean. Whereas on here you know probably everyone else has the same or similar anxieties and it doesn't have to be a big deal if you don't want it be, you can just have a moan.
I have been given anti depressants though and even though i felt that was a bit extreme i wondered if anyone else had similar probs either this time or another time round?
Another question...and i hope this isn't too personal but i was enjoying my 36C cup (was minute before..32aa) when i feel as though my boobs have deflated and dare i say it...a bit saggy! I have worn sports bra's since just before 3 months when i looked like a porn star wearing 2 pieces of triangle cloth (i could see the lady at contessa was disgusted with me) so have been looking after them, and i just don't know what has happened!
Any light on either subject would be most welcome!
One more thing....guess who's putting DSS to bed this evening...you got it..me! DH gone out sodding fishing again, although i must admit i will enjoy the peace in about 15 minutes time!
xx

sarahlou1uk · 21/05/2006 11:05

Morning everyone. Woke up with a stinking cold and a bad headache (I can thank my ds for the cold!). Also, think I've got conjunctivitus as well because my right eye is a bit yucky and I've had to take my lenses out. Apart from that, I'm fine. How is everyone else?

jayjaybaby · 21/05/2006 12:32

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 13:02

If you want to swap a few tales of woe i'm on [email protected] I don't know if that's the done thing but ah sod it!

eenywifemum · 21/05/2006 13:06

Hi everyone! Before I forget, I was wondering if anyone else has had the hiccups for the entire duration of their pregnancy?? I started getting them chronically before I even knew I was pregnant and I still have them every day. Sometimes the usual type of hiccups but always these really loud manic ones!! Weird???

BHM - I would SOOOO love to go to a spa! You lucky girl!! I've been snoring too, I often wake myself up with it. I dont blame you for getting giggly though when the massage moved to delicate areas! :)

Frodo - I have struggled with anxiety really badly during the whole pregnancy, but I havent mentioned it to a doctor. For the first 3 months I cried every single day worrying I would have a miscarriage and now I have been worrying about stillbirth - but I have (I think) pretty much got a grip on that and have been worrying a lot less the last few days. Its no surprise with all the hormones and worry about the baby that women get depressed while pregnant! But on the whole I have been really happy - when I'm not worrying!

Sarahlou - you poor thing you sound really poorly! Hope you feel better soon! I got caught in the pouring rain yesterday and was sure I'd catch a cold but so far no sign of it!

Right... prepare for another posting!

eenywifemum · 21/05/2006 13:07

Frodo - I have an eternal struggle with my breasts, they are a bit on the big side and keeping them from giving in to gravity is hard! Keep wearing that support bra!

eenywifemum · 21/05/2006 13:22

Me again! Sort of... Salamander has lost his password and its registered to his work email address so he cant get it until Wed. So he is coming on under my username so...

HERE'S SALAMADER - Eeny out.

blimey - yes it's true I have forgotten my blinking details and they're all on my work pc!

i just wanted to say a couple of things as i haven't been on here for a while and i've been reading through the lot!

so hello to new guys and hope you are all well.

i wanted to say that you will probably see Eeny on Big Brother in the near future, as thanks to Olivo she has taken it upon herself to eat the East Anglian quota of Kit Kats. If that Golden Ticket doesn't turn up soon i'll be amazed Shock seriously!!! So thanks Olivo!!!!! Our fridge has turned into a wafery chocolate heaven Grin!!!

Eeny now requires two pillows supporting various bits of her body whenever she goes to bed - they have to be positioned very carefully or she cannot sleep due to Bump/Alexander - consequently the bed has become a very lumpy bumpy place and I am regularly cushioned during the night!

if anyone fancies a laugh have a look at \link{http://unerik.com/\this}

Well I will toddle off now - have fun and speak to you Wed - or next time I sabotage Eeny

Salamander

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 13:30

Hi salamander, sorry clicked on the link but could feel an eppy coming on...only kidding but that flashing messed with my mind a little Smile

Eeny are you back? Support bra's, is this the same as a sports bra?
In answer to the hiccup question, that is really wierd b/c i have 2 or 3 hiccups when i wake up every morning...and that's it! I find it really strange but funny too!
Talk about bloody heartburn and an embarrassing yeast infection though!....poor me Sad

olivo · 21/05/2006 15:52

salamander - oops! sorry [ grin] for coverting your wife to kitkats!! which reminds me, havent had one for a few hours.....

eeny - only 2 pillows? i have four at the moment Blush but still hurt every time i move!!

frodo - i suffer from anxiety and i know my doc is keeping an eye on me. i've been on anti depressants before several times and i know they helped me.i wouldn't hesitate to take them if i needed them whilst pregant - its exhausting being anxious all the time.

frodofitz · 21/05/2006 19:01

Thanks Olivo only been on them for just short of a week but feel better knowing i don't have the pressure of work for a few weeks and like you say taking the meds whilst pregnant in preperation for bambino is going to be far better than waiting until baby is here and finding i'm a total mess!
Feel better just talking about it, was mortified admitting that was prescribed meds when should be happiest time of my life...but then have got married, moved house and got pregnant in space of 7 months so it was bound to catch up with me.. Smile

eenywifemum · 21/05/2006 19:42

Frodo dont feel guilty at all! Salamander and I went to see my neurologist to talk about migraine treatment while I am breastfeeding and he said (its true) its all about getting a balance between what's best for you & baby. Like, for me, what the baby will gain from breastmilk far outweighs the small amount of medicine that might transfer through to him. And for you, NOTHING can be more important to a baby than having a happy mother! So you are doing the right thing! My best friend got pregnant 2 weeks after getting married (unplanned but very happy with baby) and moved house as well and she had loads of anxiety. It's too much to take!

(And by the way a support bra IS like a sports bra :) )

Olivo - yes its only 2 pillows but they are HUGE! I just woke up from my daily 5pm nap and had to dig myself out of bed as usual!

Has anybody had the Mr. Kipling apple & blackcurrant pies?? I LOVE them!! They are the only things that get me out of bed after my nap (heated up of course)

melsy · 21/05/2006 19:51

Evening all , always so much to catch up on , by the time I post though Ive forgotten what everyones said Blush. Not sure I said hello to you Frodo, you can talk to me about pills , deprsssion etc , Ive had it all !!

Im sitting here in really awkward pain , my backs just getting worse and I dont quite know what to do. My gp has put me on physio waiting list, but not sure what to do in the meantime. Ive been considering acupuncture or Bowen technique ,but its the cost of this on top of possibly having hypnotherapy again , as Im getting very very anxious about hospital as you all know.

Im feeling quite flat this evening, IM making less arrangements ot see poeople lately ,as just forget ! or just to tired to do nursury run and run around to. I havent got a great wk , have dentist tommorow and then my mental health assesmant Thursday.

PinkTulips · 21/05/2006 20:26

Sad melsy, sorry you're having a rough patch pet. how long are you likely to have to wait for physio?

melsy · 21/05/2006 20:33

Im not really sure pt , I think its less time than usual.

Ive just realised Ive got my bloods at my surgury Tues too, YUCK . I hope its not with the DIM wit midwife who wanted to discharge me post dd , and didnt detect pnd and didnt even know how to hold my baby , when she came to weigh her INCESSANTLY 2-3 times a week, as of course I breast fed and she wasnt gaining against those bloody charts. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR sorry Im right grumpy and teary this evening in major rant mode. I must be overtired , not sure why , havent had late nights.
