Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Great idea Eddie. I'm camp yellow too :)

Thanks olimoss for app recommendation... Just listened to baby!

Olimoss · 22/01/2013 13:57

No worries tho' should stress I think it's so dependent on baby's position at any given time that I'd not get too worried if you can't hear anything on a particular occasion.....

forgetmenots · 22/01/2013 14:05

Indeed - and I think a lot of the apps are designed for third trimester! Nice to have a listen though, thanks for the tip :)

pinkapples · 22/01/2013 14:40

Can someone link the stats thread as I have no idea where it is Grin will be updating tomorrow baby permitting

forgetmenots · 22/01/2013 15:06

No idea why last one didn't work, third time is a charm....

Phew :)

pinkapples · 22/01/2013 17:13

Thanks forgetmenots Grin

Everyone keeps asking today what we want but as long as its still ok I'm really not bothered is that normal to not have a preference I just want it to be ok I'm so scared although have no real reason to think it wouldn't be fingers crossed!!

DontmindifIdo · 22/01/2013 17:20

hi all,

had my 20 week scan today and I'm having.... a stubbon/lazy child who will not move into a position so we can see if it it's a girl or boy. Now I really, really want to know, but not sure if I can justify spending £100 on another scan just to find out...

Saw the consultant, he said I should have a more straightforward birth this time round and there is a drip they can put me on to reduce the chance of hemorraging this time, but if I want a c section, he'll sign off on it. I'm seeing him again at 34 weeks so have a bit of time to think about it...

pinkapples I don't have a preference either, I've sat and imagined both scenarios and blubbed at both. Staying team yellow, just hoping for a lovely healthy baby :)

Congrats on the good scan dontmind, even if baby is being 'spirited' Grin maybe he/she wants it to be a surprise? :)

AlohaMama · 22/01/2013 17:41

Great news on all the scans. And dontmind glad you got some positive news from the consultant, despite your tricksy baby!! Do you have to have a private scan? Can you find some excuse to legitimately need another one, or are they not that easy to get?

Still have another week to wait for mine. After feeling some movements last week, I don't think I've felt anything since, so I am looking forward to some hopefully good news and reassurance.

DontmindifIdo · 22/01/2013 17:49

aloha, nope, after 20 weeks if everything is going to plan, there's no reason for another on the NHS. DH isn't bothered enough to pay for it and we paid for a private scan at 8 weeks because I was stressed after the misscarriage last time, so feel like we can't waste another £100 just becuase I'm impatiant...

Pinkapples, I'm team yellow too...like others, I just want a healthy baby. Convinced the little bugger's a boy though! But I'm happy to be proven wrong :-)

Dontmind, great news regarding scan / baby's personality shining through. And your birth options too :-)

Had my risk assessment at work today. The HR lady was horrified at my commute and said they're more than happy to consider some working from home if it gets too much before I go off on maternity :-) Definitely going to try for that.

Also got given my first seat offered on the train on a rammed service. Flashed bump and was just given it rather than having to ask. Win!

arlandria666 · 22/01/2013 18:14

Scan tomorrow eeeeek been looking forward to it for ages now i am really scared :-( as long as baby is healthy i don't mind what it is just worried something will be wrong is this normal or am i just super paranoid dam it! Was hoping after 12 week scan my mind would be put at ease but no such luck x x

forgetmenots · 22/01/2013 18:44

Good luck arlandria and pinkapples for tomorrow, think the way you're feeling is totally normal, I'm already bricking it and I've a couple more days to wait!

pinkapples · 22/01/2013 18:50

Arlandria it's normal I think I am absolutely terrified although like I said no reason to think there's anything wrong no pain or bleeding etc fingers crossed for us what time is your scan mines 2.30 and hubby has booked day of work lucky man! I've still got to work from 7.30am till the apt as hospital is only like 2 mins walk from work but think I have the rest of the day off I normally work till 6pm woohooGrin

Still no feeling much and not looking to fat either which is good I think it is quite round tho but my uniform at work covers it well

Prayers for tomorrow!

MrsBri · 22/01/2013 19:04

It's definitely normal, ladies...I'm terrified and still have 2 weeks to go til my scan.

Good luck to both of you. xx

arlandria666 · 22/01/2013 19:18

I have to be at work at 7.30 too! My scan is at 1 i don't think i am going back my husband is off the whole day too dam it! I haven't had any pain or bleeding either think i have felt a few movements but can't be sure just can't wait to see baby again and hopefully find out everything is okay will post as soon as i can after ringing/texting a million and one people! My dad doesn't want to know what it is but i have a feeling its going to be stubborn and we won't be able to find out lol it wouldn't roll over on 12 week scan just was flapping about on its tummy with its legs crossed lol x x good luck tomorrow pinkapples x x

Sunbeam18 · 22/01/2013 19:21

Congrats on the scan news, and agree that it's normal to be nervous. Still got over a week to wait.
I get a bit annoyed when people ask if we have a preference of girl or boy - does anyone ever answer this question?? If you said one then found out it was the other then you would feel so guilty!

redwellybluewelly · 22/01/2013 19:27

Hope all scans go well tomorrow, mine is at 9.05am and we are hoping to find out the gender.

I then tell work Monday and family next weekend. Not looking forward to telling work at all.

On the upside DH has finally agreed he needs to do bedtimes and nights, cant lift dd easily now and im exhausted permanently!

forgetmenots · 22/01/2013 19:29

Good luck redwelly, and pleased to hear it about DH! :)

Sunbeam18 · 22/01/2013 19:34

When ahead of your due dates are you all planning to leave work? I'm thinking of finishing 15 May (due 18 June). I will have paid holidays to take so my actual mat leave won't need to kick in until the due date. Hooray!

Sunbeam18 · 22/01/2013 19:35

Good luck, redwelly - exciting!!

forgetmenots · 22/01/2013 19:41

Thinking of taking leave from w/b 13th May, I'm due on 13th June but thought same as you sunbeam, I could use up some leave so that I have more time. I really don't want to be there right up to the wire, even if I, feeling good, some time to gather myself and get organised would be great. We'll see...!
