I had the whole DH aversion thing too - he smelt like a beast to me, and he kept breathing near me and I felt too squashed. In fact for the last couple of weeks he was evicted to the spare room as I'm just so hot and restless at night.

Which is why I was so glad when the (ahem) desire came back... complete with a bubble bath and candles.

And while I was still hot and restless in the night, at least I felt fondly towards him again!

Hello everyone, finally had a chance to catch up, poorly dd all weekend which I feel I'm getting and so busy!
Lor- on the cm, I think I posted on the early bus about it, definatly green yellow in colour and I worried it was mucas plug comming away but I think it's fine and has come sort of once a week since, any spotting is quite common after sex! Although I'm with the others and havnt done it once Blush so tired I can't even describe plus with dh arm not sure he's bothered at the mo, I was I bed at 7:30 last night, it's getting rediculous, I can't describe how exhausted I feel
I'm with you Jojo on the lack of clingy dd although at the min she's uber cuddly with my mum and makes it clear she's loving her more, hugs and crying when she tries to go, when I come back from work it's like she's not bothered ( or punishing me!!) hard when your the one up at night with poorly screams!!Sad
Scan on Wednesday!!!
Nice to see thunder- hopes she gets to join us very soon again xx

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 19/11/2012 16:55

trumpets and mrs I'm with you both on the DH aversion.
I'm so tired, and clostraphobic and, well, icky. such a passion killer

Phew, well at least I'm not the only one!

MrsBri · 19/11/2012 17:51

Nope...we all have DH aversion! :-/

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 19/11/2012 20:33

I seem to have an aversion to being awake too. Zzzz so tired.

OP posts:
Jojoba1986 · 19/11/2012 23:16

I'm having similar aversions too! DH can't do anything right, especially if he's just woken me up! I seem to be exhausted just before teatime so end up falling asleep so DH wakes me up to ask what I want, decides for me because I'm too sleepy to answer, wakes me up with a bowl of cheesy pasta shoved under my nose & then gets stroppy with me when I feel too sick to eat it! Anyone fancy being woken up by the smell of cheese? I've been incapable of being pleasant in the evenings for several days now & he still doesn't seem to get that constantly insisting that I must eat & asking what I want just annoys me & makes me think about food which makes the nausea worse! Grr! Sad

Jojoba1986 · 19/11/2012 23:19

Needless to say, there's no chance of DH coming anywhere near me! Unless he wants a black eye!

MrsBri · 20/11/2012 04:23

Actually, I'm loving cheese, so that would be awesome.

And I think that's sweet of your DH. Some would let you starve! He's also right that you need to eat.

I generally decide what we are eating but DH makes it, unless he doesn't know how!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 20/11/2012 07:05

Cheesy pasta would make me gag at the minute too jojo even though I love cheese but shoving it under my nose wouldn't be a good move. I know what you mean though, I'm hungry, but DH cooks and the smells just make me feel ill.

Anyone else struggling to get up and going in the morning? I think I'm going to go back to bed after the school run.

And I have the start of a stinking cold today too. Feeling rough as houses.

OP posts:
MrsBri · 20/11/2012 07:38

As much as I struggle to get going, I have to leave the house at 6.45 and get back about 18.30, assuming no delays! I'd love to be able to go back to bed, especially after a night's sleep like last night. Or non sleep.

Food doesn't make me sick at all. Food actually stops me from being sick, so I embrace it. Then throw it up, ha ha!

Chemical smells like perfume, deoderant etc make me gag.

Already later for work than anticipated, thanks to Merseyrail. I'm hoping my day's bad luck is done now!

I have to say that I try to be really grateful to DH, even if he's getting it a bit wrong. As it could be worse, he could not help at all. I appreciate his help when it comes down to it. Even if he smells and tastes funny!

Jojoba1986 · 20/11/2012 08:17

Of course I appreciate his help. What I don't appreciate is him trying to force feed me when I'm feeling sick purely because he thinks it's the appropriate time for food. I feel ill in the evenings at the moment & eat at other times but that's not good enough for him because he's a bit ocd & likes things to happen at the 'right' time. The main reason he insists on making me food is because he thinks it's food time, regardless of how I'm feeling, & not because he's trying to be helpful.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 20/11/2012 11:34

I'm the same jojo I can't eat in the evenings. although I can stuff my face the rest of the day. luckily DH doesn't cook for me unless I ask him too as he knows this, but he still asks, and still cooks for himself, so I get the smells.

OP posts:
Jojoba1986 · 20/11/2012 11:44

DH seems to have decided that because I'm not cooking at all that means he can cook all the things I don't like, like Bolognese sauce, which really stinks! He then complains about having to cook different meals for different people... I have gently pointed out that I don't want him to cook for me! Hmm

Librarina · 20/11/2012 12:14

I've been eating a lot of breakfast cereal in the evenings as I've not really fancied much proper food. Poor DH has been having various things on toast, but I did brave pasta the other night and really enjoyed it. It turns out that I'm not anti-food, just anti-cooking it.

On a more exciting note, I think I might be 12 weeks today. I feel like there should be some kind of parade/badge/special 2nd Trimester song... but all there are achy sore boobs and a slightly uncomfortable 'fanoir'.

peardrop2 · 20/11/2012 12:24

Lib congrats on reaching 12 weeks :-)

I've been fortunate to enjoy most foods apart from fish as I've really gone off all thoughts of having fish which isn't great for baby but I'm taking omega 3 pregnacare to help make up for it. I am still having to eat lots of apricots, current buns, raisins and other things to help my long-term pregnancy battle which is a hassle but I've now excepted it as the norm!

14 weeks.

Thundercatsarego · 20/11/2012 12:27

nic does that mean your marriage isn't erm...consummated then? Wink

Blending · 20/11/2012 12:30

Going back up thread, I have the opposite problem to DH aversion! I'm not supposed DTD until 12 weeks due to a slight bleed and a previous MC, but this week I've been waking up after the most incredibly erotic dreams ready to jump on him! I figured that everything is fine now, and that I have had a couple of scans which were good, and nice firmly closed cervix, it should be OK (Plus I will burst trying not to which is obviously not good for the babies Wink)
I can't be the only one on here can I?

No proper food for me in the evenings, but I'm constantly snacking on dry-ish non-smelly stuff like popcorn, cheese and crackers, crisps etc which helps keep away the nausea.

I'd hate to be woken with something stuffed under my nose though Jojo! I know he's concerned for you but they can make themselves a bit of a martyr sometimes can't they! (Actually I have an angel for a DH, but he still manages to annoy me from time to time, I think its part of being preggers)

Kitty, I get upset because DD doesnt want to come home from nursery and screams when I try and get her in the car. Long gone are the days when she cried "Mama!" and came running towards me full of joy. Now she bolts to the far side of the room! I tell meself its because Im like a comfy old pair of slippers, and yes it was me that was up 4 times last night with her not her nursery teacher!

bringonthetrumpets · 20/11/2012 14:03

Haha that's awesome Blend! I'm missing those pregnancy hormones that I had with the other two pregnancies. Even more reason for me to think this is a GIRL. Roll on 2nd tri when I'm not dead tired and suffering from stinky things. Grin.

mmmm, it's 8 in the morning and cheese pasta sounds fabulous right now! My nausea has left the building, but the absurd cravings for random foods at all parts of the day has definitely moved on in!

MrsBri · 20/11/2012 14:13

Dear oh dear, Thunder!

We had half sex the morning after the wedding, so I think insertion counts to consummate!! I didn't want to continue though, so we stopped.

Bored of giving sympathy blow jobs now though!!

Lorelei353 · 20/11/2012 14:32

Ha ha Thunder. This is why we're glad you're still popping in. We'd totally missed that!

MrsBri We'll let that count Grin

Kitty thanks for your comment. I knew someone had posted on one of the other buses about having cm like mine but couldn't find it/wade through the threads. I've had nothing at all since so I'm going to just assume it's all fine.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 20/11/2012 17:55

lorelei I remember that thread, but don't know which one it was.

OK so I've officially changed surgeries and made my next appt with new midwife in December. They don't have any flu jabs in stock so I'll have to wait until December...seems a bit pointless then doesn't it?
