Has anyone ever used a pregnancy pillow? I read all the reviews but most of them who have posted them after the first couple of weeks say they go flat. Ideally I'd like a goose feather one, so you can fluff it up.

I can't believe I'm getting uncomfortable already, its ridiculous and its going to be a looong pregnancy.

On the upside my MS has nearly cleared up although Im very sensitive to smells still. DH asked me if some chicken was on the turn and to me it smelt rancid, and I was wonderng how on earth he thought it could possibly safe to eat!

Scan today so nervous! Plus found out my mum has told while family I'm pregnant, apparently I'd like to wait til after the scan doesn't mean that and they were asking my sis today if it was common knowledge now more pressure on today!
On positive note last 2 nights slept threw and no toilet trips- does this signify the start of 2nd tri?! 12+5

We haven't told our parents yet, so no news spreading going on. Are you annoyed? I would be!

I've not gone off food either. I've also barely needed a wee at night. Maybe my bladder isn't getting the pressure somehow? Or I'm just used to holding it in as I tend to at work as I'm too busy for a wee!

Jealous of the scans...mine is 3 weeks yesterday! Nervous too. Feels so long after the one we paid for!

I am abit anoyed and will make a comment but more because I feel so worried anyway, what if its bad news then now there's a mountain of people who know my woes!

The odds ARE good for both of us as we saw wriggling beans with strong heartbeats at our scans. Still hard to be positive when there's people like poor Thunder about. :-/

Morning all. kitty i would be fuming, I also lie about my due date, and tell everyone that's later dc1 was very late and the constant "have you had the baby yet" drove me mad-- yep my. Good luck for today, yes my scan is tomorrow. So hard to keep quiet about it, especially when I look pg.
I need a bump pillow too, I can't get comfortable either, --can't understand how I slept on my front last pg, Im struggling to get in a position I can sleep in.
I have sicky coldy illness too. Bleugh.

I've been dealing with people sharing my news too, although not my mother! Bless her, it's so difficult for her to keep quiet given that she sees my SIL regularly & she's due in Feb! I'd only told 2 friends but another friend was getting really worried about me being ill so one of the original friends told her & swore her to secrecy. Unfortunately she's a bit of a (self-proclaimed) stereotypical American - she tactfully congratulated me in a very loud voice while there was someone who didn't know standing nearby. She means well, she just can't keep quiet about anything!

I slept relatively well last night! I didn't have a nap at all yesterday, managed a few mouthfuls of dinner before feeling so sick I couldn't stand being in the same room as food & went to bed early(ish)! I did wake up once but dozed until DH appeared with breakfast! Here's hoping it's because I'm 11+5 & I'm getting to the energetic, good sleep phase!

My scan is in 5 days! Eek!

Blending - I've not tried a proper pregnancy pillow, last time I ended up with 2 normal pillows under my head, one between my legs & one under my bump with a cushtie to cuddle! I've had one between my legs since about 6 weeks - it really helps with pelvic pain!

Flu jab done :-) Now safely on the train to work. Boo!

Not feeling as pregnant today. Suppose I should be grateful. My morning cup of tea still had me running to the loo though. I'll keep it down one day soon, I'm sure!

Yeah, it lasts about 36-48 hours! Everyone gets it at some point during their pregnancy but it's relative to the severity of your normal symptoms!

We still have managed to tell absolutely no-one. I don't know how we've done it. Tomorrow I am telling my best friend though as she's off to India on Saturday for two months - the first month spent yoga teacher training - so I won't be able to reach her easily. My mum and sister arrive for the weekend on Friday, so we'll tell them too. All three can keep a secret so should be okay. Everyone else will know next week!. I can't wait to be able to talk about it (assuming all goes well at the scan).

I have heard that a higher sex drive can indicate a boy. I think it was in the "Orgasmic Birth" book that I read that....(highly recommend it!).

I tried a pregnancy pillow with #1 and it just seemed to make me all tangled up and frustrated in the middle of the night whenever I wanted to turn over. I'm just a nest-builder with like 5 pillows taking up all of DHs side of the bed too during pregnancy .

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving at my parent's house everyone will definitely know. There is no hiding this bump! I look about 15-20 weeks pregnant instead of 11+3....even my mum said that she couldn't believe how huge I look (thanks mum, love you too).

She said it was a wriggler, 13wks today and 29th may so 2/3 days more then I thought and what they said at 9 wk scan I'm not bothered as this date counts and I'll happily be moved up

Awww a wriggler! That's fab kitty! It's so lovely to know that they're not only ok, but energetic too!

I know of 3 other mums in our church who've announced they're expecting recently! Looks like it'll be at least 4 babies born in the space of 2 months! DS was one of 13 in his school year, most of which were 2nd or 3rd babies so I wasn't expecting to be part of another baby-rush! How exciting! Our creche is going to get huge!
