X post great advice from Frus there x

kittykatsforever · 17/01/2013 16:00

No it hasn't kept leaking ( well its hard to say nothing as I have that much cm -it always feels abit damper then before pg! charming I know) but no more then normal and it was just when I was sick the once, ive not been doing them no frus I'm very naughty Sad I do remember you saying it too and I remember sneezing last pregnancy and if I needed the loo too much I'd have to cross my legs as the same thing happened but I did just accept it was wee then, I think it's because when my waters broke it was just abit like the same amount and didn't seem to keep comming but I was having contractions a few hours later so knew that's what it was plus it was in bed and hadn't sneezed etc I feel like an anxiety freak this time, someone slap me with a wet fish!

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 17/01/2013 16:11

remember to do you pelvic floors.

kittykatsforever · 17/01/2013 16:24

I know I know but in fairness it happened first time and stoped when I wasn't pregnant, I was bursting too
Didn't want to ring as really so embarrassing to admit and really deep down know I just wet myself < sheepish> but like torturing myself worrying about every bloody thing, where is the chilled kitty I once was < looks under stones>

Blending · 17/01/2013 16:36

Oh god you have reminded me of the dreded tena lady.

I had server swelling (odema) with DD, and no amount of pelvic floor exercises helped, and I had to resort to wering them from about 7 months onwards. It felt so wrong, but the alternitive...

Actually this time I seem to be having an easier time of it, and I actually had a male collegue tell me how much I suited being pregnant, as it made me "glow" in an attractive way. He's not at all creepy although when I type that out it sounds it!

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 17/01/2013 16:45

kitty kitty kitty I won't accept your excuses. [teacher face] just because you got off lightly the first time...

kittykatsforever · 17/01/2013 18:19

I know I know < clenches while types>
Blending I think that's lovely, I like all prego compliments if I had any lol love my little bump!!

bringonthetrumpets · 17/01/2013 20:00

Yes, kitty kegels and squatting to prepare those muscles for the big stretch. And it'll help you when you're 90 and not weeing yourself Grin.

In other news........It's a girl! She was so wiggly and posed perfectly for all of her measurements. The tech kept mentioning how lovely and "textbook" she was. We are SO excited!! Even DH is excited for a little lady in the house, it's so sweet! Ahhh! Can't believe it!

kittykatsforever · 17/01/2013 20:14

Oh what fab news bringon!!!
Told you McDonald's = girl Wink
Bet your so excited!!

kittykatsforever · 17/01/2013 20:21

From your opinion then bring would weeing abit when your sick sound logical? More likely then anything else? It was while actual being sick

Blending · 17/01/2013 20:40

Congratulations! Another pinky!* And a wriggler too!

*(Other colours are available and whilst I do not wish to gender stereotpye anyones unborn child it is a useful shorthand for a girl which is instantly recognisable by most of society- phew caught that before I get slung off MN and have to go to that other place where everyone calls each other "Hun" and "lolz" everywhere!)

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 17/01/2013 21:12

Don't you dare slink off there blending it's much more fun here on the dark side.

Yay bring you're like the opposite of me. Grin

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 17/01/2013 21:43

kitty you must try not to worry. I am adamant you wee-ed yourself whilst being sick, just like I did, with the coughy bit, I'm sure it was the being sick movement of your stomach muscles pushing down on baby who in turn bounced of your bladder.
I know it doesn't help when you are worried, but I'm sure if you were leaking you'd still be leaking.

Thundercatsarego · 17/01/2013 22:41

Love the name change rocky!

Congrats blending! Lovely lovely news!

bringonthetrumpets · 18/01/2013 02:32

Oh no, don't you dare! By all means, call this little baby "pinky". I'm so going to gender stereotype this kid and feed into societal expectations, because I can finally guy something pink! I am going all out on the pinkness for this poor child! I'm so ready to not buy something with dinosaurs, trucks, and have a wardrobe be in blues, greens, and browns. Bring on the ruffles, tights, and dresses. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about weeing whilst being actually sick. Confession- last stomach bug that went around (dear god, never again I hope) I weed myself whilst being sick and I wasn't even pregnant. There's a whole lot of force going through your body at that point and your sphincters have to open to get the sick out, not surprised the urethral sphincter would open as well. . Like Frus said- if you were leaking amniotic fluid, you would still be leaking. It's earthy and sweet smelling and smells absolutely nothing like urine, so that would be your big indicator.

Can't stop looking at the scan pix! Squee!

kittykatsforever · 18/01/2013 05:58

Thankyou girls!! What would I do without you GrinGrin
Bring get yourself down to those shops, those ruffles won't buy themselves lol Wink

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 18/01/2013 07:20

Yeah bring get yourself out there shopping for pinks and hearts and bows and frills. I'm going for dinosaurs and cars and trucks and bright greens, oranges, blues etc. (yay)
DH bought his first boy item yesterday.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 18/01/2013 07:55

Snow day snow day! I love working in education.

Thundercatsarego · 18/01/2013 08:11

...err oops I meant bring, obviously. Non-baby brain Wink

Jojobump1986 · 18/01/2013 08:23

I'm sulking. I was supposed to be going to visit my family, including sick grandmother, this weekend but DH has decided that it's not safe to travel... This coming from the man who wanted to walk for over an hour to get to work because the buses are cancelled! He even admitted that there is work he can do at home but was still trying to convince me to let him go in! Hmm

kittykatsforever · 18/01/2013 08:55

I'm at work Sad
Contemplating a half day though apparently the m6 is allready down to 2 lanes on my section due to the snow, there was non this morning!
Thunder when do we find out if you do have a shhh baby brain

Thundercatsarego · 18/01/2013 09:02

I work at home...damnit! No snow day for me. We have a lot of snow down here (SW) and it looks lovely!

Well kitty this is first cycle back now so no idea really but I'm on CD 27 now and last time I got a bfp on day 29! Trying not to think about it yeah right because I really think my hormones are still just all over the place. You take care travelling.

kittykatsforever · 18/01/2013 09:15

I know how you feel thunder your body will bit abit screwey but I got pregnant this time the first cycle after mc, no symptoms at all funnily, I think I ovd about a week later then normal and did test based on dpo rather then days of cycle if that makes sence, did you track ov?

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 18/01/2013 09:41

Thundercatsarego · 18/01/2013 10:05
