Hi Thunder. Great to hear from you and that you're doing well. Do keep us posted with any news!

Suppose there is less nonsense but still plenty of talk of nipples and bumps and generally things that would be considered TMI in the real world! Grin

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 15/01/2013 13:03

Hey thunder definately not a good thing, I'm feeling very sane

Thunderthunderthundercats · 15/01/2013 13:47

Hey frus and lor. Good to hear there are still a few random tmi conversations going on, but sounds like you might need to work on the silliness a bit?

So- how are all the nipples? Still sensitive?

My boobs started to get a little bit tender this week which was my big symptom last time but trying to not get my hopes up. Tbh think something crazy is just going on with my hormones at the mo- exacerbated by a conversation with my hairdresser after my hair colour didn't work properly this time round. She asked if I had period or anything as apparently that really affects how the colour works. Going to go back in a week or so to see if it takes next time. Having said that I went when I was pg last time (I know I know- a can of worms) and the colour worked fine so it's unlikely to be linked to anything too promising. she jokingly offered to pick me up a hpt whilst at the shop

And, while we're on the subject, my nipples are doing well.

Lorelei353 · 15/01/2013 14:37

Glad to hear your nipples are well thunder. Mine are sensitive and were dry and cracked but a little nipple-cream from Boots has done the trick (since you asked).

It's amazing the symptoms you see and the minor changes you suddenly become aware of in your body once you're TTC (and also pregnant). I've never monitored every little detail of my body the way I have done since last June!

My sister is TTC at the moment and giving me regular rundowns of her symptoms too. Different every month too.

bringonthetrumpets · 15/01/2013 14:45

Hi Thunder!!! I hope this one is it for you! Can't wait to hear more news from you. You can still be a June member :)

Hmm, yep itchy nipples over here too. I think that it's because we are completely devoid of all moisture in the air in good ol' Minnesnowta (the current temp is 3 degrees F with a wind chill of -9 degrees F). My poor, poor skin Is it spring yet!?

How are everyone's little kicking bubs? Mine has decided that under no terms is he/she going to let DH feel the kicks. It completely stops the minute he puts his hand on my bump. I know he could feel it, because I've felt the kicks with my hand.... we'll catch he or she when is least expecting it.

Thunderthunderthundercats · 15/01/2013 15:28

Youch these itchy sore cracked nips sound grim! Poor you girls! It sounds like you need some sort of moisturising boob warmer pads to keep them happier?

Hey bringon -sounds like your bubs is trying to wind you up already. I bet if you could see in there, she'd be sniggering and lying totally still every time he puts his hand out? A sign of things to come....

Lorelei353 · 15/01/2013 15:29

I can definitely feel movement now bring. I've thought I might be feeling it for a while - occasional flutters here and there - but they disappeared so quickly it was hard to say for sure. The last few days I'm sure it's babs though. Not strong enough that DH could feel it yet but it was a hyper little thing yesterday!

Jojobump1986 · 15/01/2013 15:53

My nipples are fine! Grin

I got my first Braxton Hicks this morning! I don't really remember getting them at all last time but it felt like a v mild labour contraction. I suddenly felt a little like there was pressure on my chest - as if my diaphragm just got a bit tense & then my belly got really hard & I could finally identify where the top of my uterus is! Very exciting but I wasn't expecting the slight breathless feeling that went with it. I used to get that with the let-down reflex & I think it's the same hormones so it's not surprising that it should have the same effect! Smile

He's also wriggling lots & I can sometimes feel it with my hand but only when DH isn't around! It was the same with DS1 - I felt the very first movements at 17+3 but DH kept missing them until 24 weeks!

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 15/01/2013 16:09

How are your monties thunder? and have you run up any stairs yet? Wink

Thunderthunderthundercats · 15/01/2013 16:56

Funny you should say that, frus because it was on running down stairs that I realised they'd gone a bit tender. Only on the sides though, whereas last time I had to physically grab them they were so sore I'm sure you remember the image of me wandering around wearing my own hand bra That was from around cd27 ish though and I'm only on 24 today.

Monty watch- nothing much going on there! How are yours? Still keeping count?

kittykatsforever · 15/01/2013 17:40

Hello thunder Grin woo the 2ww how I remember the Montie talk lol I'm glad boobs feel sore and as I recall it was later on so still plenty of time for the "hand bra" I have heard about colour not taking when pregnant and about using bleach etc hmmmm
I'm about to go out for lovely meal, it's my bday GrinGrin though boo to 34 30 was so much more fun!!
Little bubs has been quiter last few days but I have been busier so may have missed it, dh felt her last week though so that was nice and 3/4 days ago she went mental in the bath yes i still have them hotBlush and you could see my tummy jumping up and down Grin

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 15/01/2013 17:46

Still in the same ridiculously high count thunder and they're now huge.
Do your boobs hurt when you poke them?

Thunderthunderthundercats · 15/01/2013 17:50

Happy birthday kitty! I'm 34 next month too- know what you mean about 30 being so much more fun.

frust I know what you're doing- payback time?! But just to play the game.... not really, disappointingly enough. Just a bit tender round the sides still. And the answer is no to your next question. I'm not going to jump up and down.

Jojobump1986 · 15/01/2013 17:53

Poke them harder! You can make yourself more pregnant by exacerbating your symptoms, don't ya know?! Grin

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 15/01/2013 18:18

And eating donuts

Thunderthunderthundercats · 15/01/2013 18:46

Mmmmmmmm doughnuts.

Want Wine now as well.

Thanks for the tip, jojo Wink

Jojobump1986 · 15/01/2013 19:32

Hmmm... Yup. I'm definitely getting a migraine! I always know when one's coming on because I get a slight nagging headache, my brain ceases to function & I get a v odd sense of humour. Am currently giggling at the thought of people poking their boobs with doughnuts to try & get pregnant! Hmm I think I need to lie down now!

OhThePlacesYoullGo · 15/01/2013 22:57

Was discharged Monday evening... hurrah! We are at our new flat now as two of my friends and BF's brothers moved ALL of our stuff while we were in hospital. How amazing are they? So have been curled up on sofa all day in our spanking new living room. Lorelei have to admit, I haven't been all that 'good natured' about things for the past few days. I've pretty much spent the entire time that I wasn't sleeping, drugged up or unconscious, throwing an epic pity party for myself, crying and feeling anxious.

...On the up side I am happy to report that my nipples and boobs are perfectly fine. Grin

Ah jojo migraines are pants. Hope you are not too bad.

Jojobump1986 · 15/01/2013 23:24

Places that's wonderful news! How lovely to get to come home to your new home after all that drama & have everything sorted & ready for you! Smile

My migraine hasn't quite developed the way it usually does. I think forcing myself to eat & then relaxing all evening has helped.

bringonthetrumpets · 16/01/2013 00:45

Wonderful news Places Lots of rest and growing that little one.

Doughnuts sound AMAZING right now! Thanks ladies, now I'm going to have to drive to the 24hr grocery by my house and buy a box! Speaking of, anyone having any cravings? I could eat cream cheese out of the container, anything with vinegar in it, and rice krispie treats. Not a very healthy diet if I didn't force myself to get in some greens.

Thundercatsarego · 16/01/2013 12:01

bringon you've made me crave cream cheese now and I'm not even pg!

Glad the migraine didn't come jojo, well done for keeping it at bay. I'm still prodding here, but not with doughnuts as that could cause some sugar related boob itchiness which I would then interpret as a symptom

good news places!

Jojobump1986 · 16/01/2013 12:30

Grin but it has to be with the doughnuts. If you use a ring doughnut it'll be a girl, a glazed one for a boy & a glazed ring doughnut if you want a surprise! Other doughnuts work too but the results are a bit more variable.

(This was what I decided last night. I made my poor DH sit & listen while I listed all the rules of doughnut conception. I think he now understands why I usually go straight to bed when I feel a migraine coming on. I go more than a little bit loopy! Blush)

Thundercatsarego · 16/01/2013 12:36

Ok, so if this scientific fact I need to know more:

A) how many times to I need to hit my breasts with the doughnuts?
B) which breast- or both?
C) do I have to eat the doughnut afterwards?
D) if this is doughnut conception does that mean I don't have to dtd?

Lorelei353 · 16/01/2013 13:04

Places great to hear you're home and everyone chipped in to get you moved in. I think you were perfectly entitled to a pity party. You went through an awful lot.

Bring I haven't really had massive cravings, but am eating more chocolate than normal (I usually don't really eat it) and really want burgers. Medium-cooked, juicy cheeseburgers preferably. Mmmmmmmm. Smile

The doughnut theory is an interesting one. Your migraines sound like more fun than mine Jojo. I can't think at all!

FrustratedSycamoreIsNesting · 16/01/2013 13:43

Jam and cream donuts are girls. Krispie Kremes are boys.
