1 doughnut per day before bfp comes? so if it takes a minimum of three cycles like the first time, I will have consumed 90 doughnuts by end March (assuming I'd started in Jan).

I forsee two potential problems with this: 1) money and 2) persuading the OH to dtd with that weight gain

But I'll think positive- and will give it a try over the next few days as pma dictates I'll get my bfp soon!

You realise that if you do get a BFP I'll forever be claiming it as an example of how DC (doughnut conception) really does work!

I wonder if I could start an urban myth with this - like 'you can't get pregnant the first time you dtd' it could be 'if you beat your breasts with a doughnut you will get pregnant'! It wouldn't be my first urban myth. A friend & I convinced everyone in our primary school that a corridor was haunted & we could see red glowing eyes... 7 years later my little sister came home from school complaining about glowing eyes in the corridor! I must ask my niece if the rumours are still going 17 years on!

Good news all round on the doughnut front. According to today's Stylist magazine 2013 is the year of the gourmet doughnut. Forget posh burgers and hotdogs with champagne - this year it's about doughnuts.

I had some McDonalds chips a few weeks ago and they made me happier than anything I can remember in a long time. I could've cried!

I have an inkling it might be a girl but that's only really come on in the last week or so. Up until then I didn't feel strongly either way. I don't know if I'm just thinking girl because I have a niece so when I imagine having kids, my mental picture is my sister with her little girl. Dh thinks it's a girl too.
