Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
nez · 11/05/2006 17:01

Hey! Due 17th, but I never believe the hype...!
Momania Had similar experiences all thru pregnancy. A literal pain in the pelvis and rest of body but I'm happy.
Fenny Aha! Ulcers too - mad! For once am not trying to win any races so be my guest to pip me at post..
Dunjo Are you a bit mad?! I am bricking it. Worrying is such a waste of energy when I could be daydreaming about ..ooh anything.
Runtus Have written your name on my scrap paper..no idea what I was gonna say.

Having naughty massage tomorrow (we are skint). Hope it eases my poor self.
Hello to May. nice name! I had an 'aunty' May, she was cool and lived well to 97!

Morning ladies.

Last night in bed was a complete nightmare, couldn't get comfortable, when i did eventually get some sleep i woke up with severe cramps in right leg, it still hurting this morning, i wish that i was being awoke with labour pains instead.

Never mind 11 days to go now, these 2 weeks are gonna be the longest of my life.

My partner and I have definatley decided now on the name of our baby girl its gonna be Macey Louise.

Has anybody else decided on theirs names yet?

:) :)

runtus · 12/05/2006 08:30

I actualy manage to sleep pretty well last night, unfortunatley I seem to have kept DP awake half the night with my digestive system (ahem)............lets just say I hear there was a slight breeze in the room last night Blush. Guess that explains the tummy ache I had before I went to bed.............and there was me hoping it might be the start of something. Damn it.

On the name thing - we have decided on Cameron for our boy...............

Asur · 12/05/2006 09:55

Hi ladies,

just thought I'd give you an update... Nothing happening with me... Well, I've been having regular contractions (every 3-4mins) for past 30hrs ish but only 3cms! Midwife says still in latent stage - lucky me! Have been given some painkillers so hoping that they will kick in soon so that I can get a little sleep - am shattered. She has warned me that it could still stop but nothing else they can do just now, just wait and see! At least the head is starting to engage which is a good sign... Apparently quite a big baby so it's maybe just taking it's time and hopefully soon 'proper' labour will start! Will let you know though,

Hope everyone else is well.

momamia · 12/05/2006 10:09

Asur - it sounds like everything is happening as it should, i hope you labour kicks in soon.
Good Luck lets hope by tomorrow you will have your lovely baby.

Lovely day again, i'm gonna take my little boy to the park to see if i can wear him out and then i will be able to have a rest, its getting very tiring running round after a 2 year old when i'm this big, my brain is functioning, my body doesn't seem to want to.

Speak to you all later

:o

nez · 12/05/2006 12:13

Hello all,
Feeling bad today. Sick of it all the discomfort, insomnia, pains and twinges with possibly a good while to wait. Been very emotionally up and down too. Normal then!?
Happy Friday though..and be lucky!

bubbles28 · 12/05/2006 13:03

Nez having a massage is NOT naughty at this stage, I have decided that 'pampering things' are absolutely compulsory, I have had a couple of treatments this week and thay have definitely helped to me sleep better and feel a little more emotionally level..... so ENJOY!!!!!Wink

Momamia I too was woken with horrid cramp last night and my calf STILL hurts, although I don't have to run around after a 2yr old so I fully admire you. Thanks as well for wishing me well yesterday, all is looking set now for Natural Birth..... feel a bit strange that we would have our baby now if I had had Caesarean this morning !!!!!

Hope everyone else is well, I LOVE the idea of soaking my puffy little feet in a baby bathSmile!!!!!

Have started taking Raspberry Leaf Tablets instead of the Tea..... it was a bit sickly!!!!!

CMac · 12/05/2006 13:20

Bubbles - did your baby turn by itself in the end? I'm in the same position - went for scan at 37 weeks expecting to be given a date for section (had been breech for weeks) and it had turned!! I too had spent the last few weeks getting mentally prepared for a section so it was a total shock! Have seen the consultant and am booked in for a section on the 25th (41 weeks) so I'm giving myself 7 days after due date to go naturally... here's hoping (didn't want to wait longer because of having had a section before). Now i'm panicking about natural birth and worrying that i'll end up with fullscale labour then a section which will really p me off!! Good luck!

And congratulations to all the little ones who have arrived already!

momamia · 12/05/2006 13:56

bubbles28 - just think though the longer you baby is inside the better it is for them, their lungs and everything will be ready for when they decide the time is right. I know it must be a little disheartening as you would have had your baby by now, but just think of how quick you will recover by having a natural birth. :) Thats what i'm thinking of anyway!

CMac - is the midwife gonna give you a membrane sweep before you have your section if you go over, i would advise it, as i was 5 days over with my first and i swear that this brought the labour on as well as sex!!

My little boys gone for his afternoon nap now, so i think i'm gonna have to join him to recharge my batteries before he wakes up.

Speak to you later :)

runtus · 12/05/2006 14:31

Just come home fron 3 hours charging around to the hospital for blood tests and into town to mee the MIL..........feet striaght back in that baby bath and it feels even better than yesterday!!!!!!!

Might be the screwball icecream accompanying it though.....

sniff · 12/05/2006 16:04

hi all glad to hear you are all ok my babys head is fully engaged and I have a bit of back ache and my tummy keeps getting harder I am hoping that this is the start of it as I am now very uncomfortable

Congratulations to all those who have given birth can't wait to join you on the post natal thread hope I wont be to long

thebecster · 12/05/2006 16:13

Glad to hear everyone is well! I can't wait to go over to the post natal thread either... I was so sick all through last night and all of this morning AGAIN. Feeling a bit fed up to be honest :(

The baby is heading in the right direction and 3/5 engaged, but I'm not having any 'twinges' and he's not due for another 2 and a bit weeks... And my bump is so enormous - how am I ever going to give birth, it feels like I've got a little giant in there Shock

Not long now, that's what I keep telling myself!

momamia · 12/05/2006 17:17

thebecster - have you been sick all through your pregnancy or does it come and go? Also have you decided on your name yet?
:)

Does anybody keep getting stomach, i been getting alot over the last few days i dunno whether its relevent though!

pennytiff · 12/05/2006 18:09

Asur Hope things are rocking and rolling for you soon. Apparently the "Grand Ol' Duke of York" sends baby down.

Oh my feet are like balloons aswell. I love the weather but it really isn't great for the swelling. Apparently if you have Aftersun (Aloe Vera) gel, stick it in the fridge and use it when your you feet and ankles puff up.Wink
I know when Monday has been and gone that I am going to feel so disappointed so hopefully something will happen this weekend. Have to rope DH into wining and dining me so we can coax this baby out!Wink
Just can not wait am too impatient.Grin Plus am sick of rasberry leaf tea, pineapple and curry (made a vat of it the other day).

pennytiff · 12/05/2006 18:16

Love' Macey Louise' Momamia

We've decided on 'Lucas John' for a boy or 'Anya Grace' for a girl. Let's wait and see if the student was right or whether my instincts were right!

Asur · 12/05/2006 18:45

Hi again,

I've managed to have a bit of rest which was much needed. Contractions are now 15mins apart which is good - seems to be a sign of 'real' labour rather than just the latent labour I was in before. MW said on phone "yes, 15mins apart is much better than 3mins apart for next 20 days!" 20 days!! I don't think I would've lasted that long - would've been pulling it out myself well before then! :)

Hopefully it won't be too much longer though. Good luck to everyone else though - hopefully this will be a productive weekend for a lot of us :)

As for the baby bath idea - sounds like bliss... Can't believe I hadn't thought of using it before, seems so obvious now.. Will just go try that out just now :)

AbiGilby · 12/05/2006 19:43

Pennytiff DH did "Grand Ol' Duke of York" on my bump, and baby used to kick like mad. Now he's here, DS looks at DH when he does it. I’m sure he remembers it!

Bouj · 13/05/2006 08:14

Hi all, just quick (funnily enough have little time!) I had a baby boy on Tuesday 9th at 2.00pm. All is well, home from hospital today. Will try and post full details later. But he is just lovely, and ds1 adores him. Hope those still pregnant are coping, and will try and catch up on those who aren't any more too!

hockeymum · 13/05/2006 14:00

Congratulations Bouj - I wondered whether you had gone in to have your little one as you had been quiet for a couple of days - Well Done. Look forward to hearing the full story and whether Oz experiences beat uk ones, although thats probably a given!! Well done you.

momamia · 13/05/2006 19:17

Hi everyone

Theres not much going on with me at the moment, it sounds like its all happening for everyone else. I'm soooo jealous.

10 days to go.....hurry up baby. :o

Congratulations BOUJ, i hope you are both well.

ASUR, good luck with your labour and the birth of your baby, look forward to hearing from you soon.

Speak to you all later

:)

AbiGilby · 13/05/2006 21:48

Congratulations Bouj on the birth of Edward, and I’m so pleased for you that the birth is something you remember with pride and pleasure.

Schmoo · 14/05/2006 09:27

Hi all, can I jump in?
Glad to read I'm not the only one climbing the walls with expectancy! EDD not 'til 22nd, but like many of you, am so puffed-up, braxton-hicked to death, uncomfortable, etc(ad infinitum) desperately hoping for an early arrival. It's reading threads like this that keeps one sane :o
Even tried jumping on the children's trampolene yesterday ...... I think I'm loosing the plot, don't recall being so impatient with my other two.

momamia · 14/05/2006 09:41

Hi everyone

Had a really uncomfortable night, didn't get much sleep. i dunno how much longer i can cope like this, i'm so desperate for this baby now. :(

9 more days to go......is everyone else counting like me?

I've got another midwife appointment booked for thursday, but i'm hoping i'll have her by then, i'll just have to keep my fingers crossed. I've still not had any Braxton Hicks though.

Hope everyone else is ok and not too uncomfortable, speak to to you all later.

:)

fenny1 · 14/05/2006 11:57

Well, my bump has today or tomorrow to start her entrance before I go off for the 'sweep'. My MW friend says it depends how much I can tolerate as to how much my MW will route around, going to grit my teeth and bear anything I think.
Been using my TENS machine for my backache which has worked like a dream. V encouraging for the actual event.
Had legs up on garen chair over lunchtime the other day and ended up with flower patterns imprinted into my puffy calves for the rest of the day, not the best look.
Tomorrow id D day and I don't know how I will compe for the next 10-14 if nothing happens!!!!

sniff · 14/05/2006 12:10

I feel the sames not due fior two weeks really uncomfy no sleep convinced I will pop early back ache, braxton hicks, sick, diaharrea, head aches honestly never felt like this with last two
