This will (fx) be DC2 and I am definitely bloating. I've been wearing baggy tops to hide it as I don't want to tell many people yet.

I don't remember this with DD - I do remember being convinced I had a bump at 10 weeks, but that was more wishful thinking than anything!

Passed my mc 'anniversary' without incident yesterday and still feel horrible today (yay!) Am still in two minds about whether to have a private early scan - have my booking in appointment on friday, when I'll be 10+2, so if the scan date is relatively soon after that, I'll probably manage to hold on....

I've heard that after your first pregnancy, you show earlier. I'm still only about 6 weeks (I don't know exactly - my edd's a cautious one!) and I'm look the same as before, but I do feel a bit bulgey in the evenings. I had to unbutton my jeans after dinner!

Don't worry about the giving birth bit yet! once the head's out it's all slithery, like birthing an eel and you have the option of drugs, which never happens when you're constipated!

Later on, they're fab for baby gear like bouncers, moses baskets, sheets, sleeping bags etc. We're greenies so into getting stuff second hand

catch 18 months is a long time to try IMO, I'm not surprised you feel anxious. Hopefully it will be settling in pains and there's a sticky bean in there. xx

Hello! Just had my scan date through, 18th Sept at 5.15pm. I didn't think it would be through before we go camping tomorrow. Yay.

Nausea has eased somewhat since changing to folic acid rather than pregnacare, the bloating and constipation has eased impressively. I am still feeling exhausted and bloated of an evening. Things sure feel more intense than last time with DD, it also feels like it's dragging until my scan, but last time I was busy at work and collapsed in bed of an evening.

I wish DD would have a nap, as I could really do with one mid-afternoon, but she gave them up a long time ago. She's at MIL's while we pack the car up ready for a week in Swanage. Just hope it's not cold

I'm on DC3 and I already look 4 months pregnant (7 wks today). Not sure how I'm going to get to 12 wks without people twigging, have already caught my DM looking sideways at my bump!! Starting to actually worry that I've got my dates wrong...

I'm 7+1 today. Even though I've been feeling bloated the past few days (and I swear I look like have a little bump in my work dresses....constantly holding notebooks in front of tummy!) this a.m. I tried a pair of my skinny jeans and they fit easier than they did a couple of months ago so I'm guessing the constant nausea and uber-tiredness mean I've lost a bit of weight (though can't bring myself to weigh myself just at the mo - feeling pretty grim already).

DH is away for a stag this weekend and honestly all I'm fit for is the couch, my PJs, duvet, with a supply of hot lemon/ginger and clementines to try keeping sickness at bay. This is grim....trying to tell myself it is a good sign (def sicker than last time when I later mc-ed). But still feeling sorry for myself-wishing there was some call-out service you could pay for where someone will trek to Sainsburys to get more supplies of anti-nausea stuff! :-(

jessie I know what you mean about mc anniversary. I still have a way to go to point when we realised things had gone wrong last time (11 weeks, but pg looked to have stopped about 5+3), so feel v cautiously reassured that at Thursday's scan I was right for my dates (6+6). Not sure if the computations can be compared in that way but it was a relief to see a hb.

Hope all you lovely ladies are have a fab weekend. Well maybe fab is a bit of an ask if the nausea is tough, but at least recuperative!

ratcatbag at least you didn't have any dc with you, Due to my surgery last year I have to go at the most inconvenient of times and normally have to answer all sorts of questions from DS & DD including comments on the smell and 'is that a BIG BIG scary poo mummy'

kellestasr have fun in Swanage, we took the dc's there last year and they loved going on Mr Tumbles railway (for all you first timers,. Something Special on Cbeebies with the loved/loathed Justin Fletcher has an episode shot there)

Enjoy your lazy weekends, we have already baked muffins, been to soft play and done jigsaws. DD is now chasing the cat and DS has disappeared upstairs and is now yelling for me ( I am ignoring & hoping he doesn't wake DH). Tomorrow we are off to Olympic Park for the paralympic athletics and both of them are really excited. We took them to Eton Dorney to see the rowing and they had a lovely time so hopefully tomorrow will be just as good.
I am not going to try and get cbeebies off & switch to the F1 qualifying, wish me luck.

Oh I love Swanage! I used to do kids summer camp there :) holds a special place in my heart. I went back there in August (around the time I conceived actually!), it hasn't changed a bit!

I wonder how many of us will poo on the delivery table...we should have a sweepstake, it happens more often than not so all you first timers be prepared for it!

I am really bloated and my usually huge jiggly soft tummy is feeling suprisingly hard and uncomfortable as the day wears on. DH was most impressed with how firm it was last night!!

No sickness feelings today and no aches and pains but I am still shattered. kellestar you are brave going camping, I couldn't think of anything worse right now.

knittingnovice I am so jealous of you I tried to get tickets to both the Olympics and the Paralympics but got nothing. I would have loved to go to anything, enjoy yourself. Also watching F1 qualifying here hurrah!

Hi all, man you ladies can chat! I'm feeling rough rough with constant nausea. It gets a bit better when I eat but I have to force food down.

On clothes, I'm wearing dresses until am bigger as maternity trousers are quite big. This will hopefully be DC2 and I remember being v bloated with DD until around 12 weeks, then I deflated until the real bump came up.

I swear by apple juice to keep constipation at bay, about 1l a day seems to do the job.

Hehe don't worry about pooing in labour, everyone does it (even if you don't realise!) and you honestly won't care. I had a waterbirth and my husband was fishing poos out with a sieve :D

Haha, all this poo talk is making me laugh as well! DH seems a bit put off by how willing I am to give him minute-by-minute updates on my bowel movements, but I've warned him that poo will definitely be present during birth, so he might as well get used to it. He's well squeamish.

enjay, I'm trying to hold out until Wednesday, mostly because things are a bit better (spotting has really lightened up, cramps have stopped), but partly because my local A&E is a bit shit, and I'd almost rather be worried and comfortable at home than waiting there. If things get worse again, I'll probably go, though. Thanks for the hugs and good thoughts, everyone, they mean a lot.

Am I the only one who thinks talk of "nesting instinct" is a load of old cobblers? My house is a tip at the moment. Can't be arsed to do much of anything past about 2:30pm, when it's time for my nap!

Feeling quite down today, a lot of my symptoms seem to be disappearing which is worrying me, think I'll speak to EPAU on Monday see what they think, maybe a reassurance scan.
All I want to do today is eat and sleep the house is a shit tip and needs cleaning before tomorrow as its DS birthday, which is a good and bad anniversary for me.
Just feeling sorry for myself I'll snap out of it soon I hope!

I don't think you nest til later on catch. I'm exhausted. I'm just getting through the days! My house has looked better. I found the oomph to clean the inside of the car but now I've crashed on the sofa.

Giddypants, symptoms come and go, I've been having good days and bad days ever since I got my BFP. Hopefully your symptoms will come back and get you good and proper!

I am desperately trying watch some of the Paralympics but I keep having to switch it off as I can't stop blubbing!

giddy My symptoms come and go too though this week the tiredness has been constant. I also have a totally flat tummy now the bloating has gone. It's hard for me to get my head around the concept that the 'baby' is in there and alive. Each time the nausea goes for a couple of days I start to panic but I think we just have to remember Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise and try to stay positive.

I've got a stinking cold and keep having these horrid coughing fits. Just went into Boots and asked what I could take for it during pregnancy. They gave me some Olbas oil and said that was pretty much it. Yikes. Autumn and winter are just around the corner and they are always a constant battle against colds viruses. I usually get through it by taking a large amount of medicine! Not this time! I was determined not to take off any extra sick days due to pregnancy but this is now looking unlikely.

Those who've been pregnant through this season before -any tips on how to handle it?!

Sorry for the moan. Will stop now and eat some porridge. It is the food of the gods this week

Thanks for the reassurance guys I hate DSs birthday I know that sounds awful but it's a lime in my life when everything went wrong, it's always the "if onlys" which turn up this time of year and I'm just looking too hard at this pregnancy I'm sure everything is fine but feel huge have defiantly over eaten oh well just more to loose post pg!

My symptoms come and go but the tiredness is constant. Sometimes I get really scared at the lack of symptoms! But I think its just taking care of myself - better diet = less sickness.
