Good luck today bunnygirl Smile
Second hand stuff is great, won't be getting anything before the birth but I know my mum etc will have a few bits and then I'll be charity shop/e baying everything except a mattress and sling maybe.
Hospitals really are dull I'm getting to try the wheelchair again today though so fingers crossed...... On a lighter note my dp is fried bless his heart he actually came in last night with two dc s , books, snacks and odd shoes on! Grin

Teapig · 03/09/2012 07:39

Welcome to the newbies.

I think my cover was well and truly blown yesterday when I tried to hide the fact I'm PG at my mum and dad's golden wedding anniversary. My dad bought out a tray of champage glasses and a big glass of lemonade for me. Only my mum and dad know (because they almost force fed me booze on my birthday) and I was hoping to keep it that way. I laughed it off that he was over reacting to my 'hangover' and held a glass of champers that DH secretly drank for me but doubt I fooled anyone.

Good luck with the scan today Bunny, very exciting.

angeltattoo · 03/09/2012 08:21

Hi all,

I did have a tummy bug, am now just being sick first thing each morning as soon as I wake up, then not too bad for the rest of the day, nausea is not too bad (touch wood!) and my appetite seems to be returning (i have eaten my body weight in twiglets and wotsits!).

Was at a wedding this weekend, told the friends we travelled with and the bride & groom, who guessed anyway as I am usually drink for breakfast at these types of things Blush

Am 8 weeks today, which feels like a milestone, very happy, although like others still symptom checking like crazy.

I should get my MW appt at 10 weeks, then scan at 12, roll on 12 + 5 so i can be reassured!

I really really need new jeans, and cannot decide whether to bite the bullet and get some maternity ones? It still feels too soon, but the bloat is impressive...

Dating scan went well. Jellybean gave us a little wave, and edd was changed to 5th April, so I'm now three days more pg than I thought. DS was over a week early, and the doctor said its likely the same will happen this time, so it looks like this may well be a March baby

ratbagcatbag · 03/09/2012 09:39

Yey bunny girl. Really pleased for you.

I'm at ten weeks today so feeling out of the woods so to speak, lots of people know just not family until after the 12 week scan, it would knock my mum and DH parents for six I there wa anything wrong at this point.

Booking appointment on Friday and thu think I will have my scan date through really fast.

10+0 phew.

Mama1980 · 03/09/2012 09:47

Yay bunny Grin

Giddypants · 03/09/2012 10:08

Thanks for the reassurance last night faith, I went to bed and cried Sad I don't even know why!

Feeling better today, not so nauseas and going out with DS and mum today think I need to get away from staying in all the time I need a life!!!

Welcome all the new ladies, and please tell us how your dp popped the question!

Congrats bunny girl

BonaDea · 03/09/2012 10:12

Morning all! Hope you had good weekends.

Bunny glad to hear it went well. It is exciting to see them on screen isn't it?

Angel - I tried some mat trousers on the other day and they simply do not fit yet. I recommend either buying some jeans in a size up (you may well use them for a spell after birth too) OR investing in some bump bands, whcih is what I've done. I have my buttons and half my zip undone today, but no one is any the wiser because the bump band covers it, smooths over the bumpiness and also holds up the trousers!

JaquelineHyde · 03/09/2012 11:08

Morning ladies

Well what a difference a good nights sleep makes hey? I feel completely refreshed and have even made a good dent in my to do list today.

My 3 dcs should be going back to school this week but because we have just relocated from The Shetland Isles and are waiting for our house to be ready in Eastbourne we can't get allocated any school places for them!! So they may be at home for another 3-4 weeks yet which means we would have had them at home for over 12 weeks!!!! Shock Shock And as much as I love them they need to be in bloody school NOW.

Now back to my to do list before the exhaustion hits. Have a good day ladies I hope the nausea keeps at bay.

angeltattoo · 03/09/2012 11:23

Thanks bonadea, next size up and some bump bands it is...have this week off so will do some shopping.

Great scan news bunny!Smile

angeltattoo · 03/09/2012 11:25

Thanks bonadea, am off this week do will invest in some next size up and some bump bands.

Great news bunny Smile

angeltattoo · 03/09/2012 11:25

Bloody phone! Wink

Knittingnovice · 03/09/2012 11:45

Morning all, have tried to catch up but everything is abit blurry. Paralympics yesterday was fab, but vey long day. Ds, who after the Olympics wanted to be a cycling road racer, now wants to have springs for legs and do running, not sure how that will workout!
2 exciting things for me today, a job interview and then the gp's to tell him I'm pg although I'm supposed to be going so he can review my cancer stuff. I'm not sure what he'll say, although my oncologist did say there was no reason why I coldn't have another baby, no one expected it to happen so quickly.

MrsSimkins · 03/09/2012 13:12

Hi lovely preggy ladie!

Still pretty symptomless here except a very impressive pair of melons which DH is over the moon about! Slightly annoyed though as I think I'm 10 weeks today but my scans not until 26th Sept! I just want to see it now!

I am getting bloated in the afternoons so was very happy during a quick trip to asda to find a lovely smart peplum dress in a stretchy fabric and pair of relatively smart black trousers in a strech fabric too! Asda have certainly saved the day for me at work at 30quid for the two!

CamelKnees · 03/09/2012 13:18

Hurray for good scan bunny. Very jealous that you're out the other side!

I'm feeling a bit meh today. First day back in work after 2 weeks off and my inbox is out of control. Also not really enjoying feeling shit and queasy at my desk (whilst also trying to hide giant bloated tum). Added to which one of my team took me aside this morning to say his girlfriend has just had a miscarriage so can he have time off. Very Sad for them and it's made all my worries resurface.

So my proposed solution to all of the above is I'm going to sleep. Can someone please wake me up in precisely 5 weeks time. Ta

BonaDea · 03/09/2012 14:21

Will give you a shout, Camel.

I spent the entirety of yesterday asleep on the sofa or snoozing or reading for 10 minutes before dozing again. Work is a challenge. Will be SO much better when everyone knows!

JessieEssex · 03/09/2012 15:39

Have crumbled and booked a private scan for tomorrow at 7.30pm. Just need to know if all's ok after previous mc. Now so nervous and keep getting butterflies when I think about it. If its bad news again I don't know what I'll do Sad

birdbrain17 · 03/09/2012 17:06

Hi ladies this forum is really keeping me sane great to know it's normal to worry...
first full day back at school teaching today and I am totally exhausted DH is going to be home in an hour expecting supper I just don't have energy but he has been so fantastic putting up with all my mood swings I feel bad not to make a nice supper Hmm
I'm first time so don't really know what to expect little bit worried that I keep on getting pains in my side (as well as tummy) am petrified of ectopic pregnancy I just want this to be normal and healthy my scan is 19th sept, but the pains are both sides so I hope it's okay...can anyone reassure me I'm feeling a bit Sad

Well, i'm official now! Got mt maternity exemption form and i'm in the system for the hospital scans. He's put my EDD down as 26th April for now, but I have a feeling it's a few days later.

Back at school tomorrow but not teaching till weds.

FactOfTheMatter · 03/09/2012 17:36

oh birdbrain - do you think they could be stretching pains? It can be a really odd feeling.

LoobyLou33 · 03/09/2012 17:53

Welcome katyt and rivergirly, nice to have you with us.

bunny great about your scan! Isn't it cool to see the little life in there?

I'm quite enjoying having bigger boobs, I only stopped b/f DS about 5 months ago and they properly shrank after that, was so disappointed! Then again I was really pleased to ditch my nursing/maternity bras and am now having to wear them again...why do the straps have to be so giant?! (answer = to hold in our giant boobs, I suppose Grin)

Had an admin booking with the nurse today ("do you eat healthily?" "Usually yes, since MS, like someone with a death-wish"). Apparently the MW will visit at home in 2-3 weeks...scan feels a long way off yet.

HaveALittleFaith · 03/09/2012 18:04

bird I've been getting some too, my Mum had an ectopic. Tricky for me because I have chronic pain on my right but noticed some on the left. Get medical attention if it becomes worse, like less twinges and more pain, if you're bleeding or if you get shoulder tip pain.

birdbrain17 · 03/09/2012 18:05

it could be stretching pains but as it's my first I really don't know can anyone describe what they feel like please!!

HaveALittleFaith · 03/09/2012 18:05

Oh 6+3 :)
