Hey everyone - thanks for the scan congrats! Had a bottle of 1% Waitrose cider last night to celebrate and I swear I have a hangover this morning! Back down to earth today and back at the desk, writing, bleurgh.
Tramp that vegan dinner sounds absolutely lovely! Your friend is very lucky!
You got there at last JoJo?! Hope you have fun sitting in the new house!
Thanks backward I signed up for the Boots parenting club and will look forward to my free changing bag! (And the spam?)
Vivee my scan date came forward by a few days, but I don't know what\s typical. I guess it may depend on how predictable your cycle is? (Mine was all over the place as I'd just come off long-term contraceptives.
Lanny that's great! What a lovely SiL! One of our mates has said she'll get her old stuff back from her sis, and we've already got three bags full of little boy clothes from them in the loft.
Em I looooove Betty's! Both of them in Harrogate are lovely :-) Blimmin expensive, but nice for treating parents and MiL.
Pink The twins are 90% probably nontidentical as they are in separate sacs with their own placentas. This is the safest kind of twin to have as they are independent and won't steal resources from each other (which can be very dangerous). I love this - think it's just like having two siblings all at once! Remind me of this come December when I'm as heavy as a singleton pregnancy with two more months of growing to go!
Ethel stick to your guns! DH texted me from work the other day to say he was going to phone his mum because he couldn't wait any longer (he was waiting for the 12-week scan). I put my foot down, saying it's our news to share together, and so he waited and it was great that we both phoned her yesterday and hear her excitement. She and I haven't been getting on that well this past year or so, so I think DH and I are hoping the babies might smooth things along. Certainly she emailed me twice last night, so things look to be on the up.
ted that's exactly what my DH does! But he loves hearing all the reassuring, helpful advice etc that comes around.
I got an Isabella Oliver dress for a tenner on eBay and it's nice. Very skin tight, so for comfort I'd probably wear a cardi with it, but I think it's going to be great for winter. It's not exactly what I'd buy if I was in a shop, but it's smart and will be absolutely great for work. The shop assistant in JLewis the other day recommended Boden. She said she got away with buying just a few pieces - they wash so well that they looked new the whole time.
